They should have high tailed it to their car after that. I saw that coming when they left after one hand.
For sure. Celebrate after you get home, you fools!
Alright, Randall. Give me more reasons to love you and your family. I think Kevin is going to have to choose between love or career. Go, Kate, Go! I was wondering if we were going to see the kids at all this episode!
I thought the episode kind of sucked. They didn't leave a big enough cliff hanger. Yay for Randall wanting to adopt!
Agreed. Pretty anticlimactic. Maybe they didn't know they would have a season 2 when they filmed it though? Needed to leave with enough closure in case it didn't get signed again?
I don't watch it for the tears it seems to bring everyone else, but I did think it was kind of "meh" for a finale.
Jack's speech got me right in the feels. I'm betting that he dies traveling to/from Miguel's house. I really hope alcohol is not involved. I was worried about that at the end of the last episode.
I read something about how Jack's past might come back to bite him (I.e. the card game). Purely speculation, but his death could have something to do with that. I feel like it would be too predictable for him to die in a car accident.

I agree the car accident would be too obvious at this point. I don't think it is his past coming back to him, because however he dies, Kate feels responsible for it. I read an article suggesting we won't learn the full story of his death until the end of season 3!

I read a theory about this too. When the poker guy was beating him up, he said "if ___ ever sees you again, he'll kill you." It gives a little more context and meaning to the whole story of him trying to get money. But who knows.
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm not all that worried about finding out how he dies. I'm curious, but it's okay with me not to know. I just wish the finale had SOMETHING else to it.

Randall and Beth def need another baby. So excited for that.
Yeah but aren't they both unemployed right now?
Ha, true. I'm sure they have enough money saved up to be ok for a little while, and they'll probably figure out jobs soon. Maybe Beth will get a job and Randall will be a SAHD.

I honestly wouldn't have known that was the finale unless you guys mentioned that. I totally assumed it was just another episode..

NEW THEORY! (I don't seek these out, they just pop up on my moms groups all.the.time):
Paraphrasing, not my idea: --- Jack *did* die in drunk driving accident that night of their fight. They got home, they fought, and she went up to bed. Maybe he went out driving (maybe to pick up Kate from a party??) after their fight.
The conversation the next morning is in Rebecca's head. She looks like she cried all night and just woke up. He's looking clean and showered and appearing in light, while she's in dark. He winks, walks out, and she's holding that necklace because she's still thinking about him and their imaginary conversation.
This show jumps around time lines so frequently, so this imagined table conversation could be in the future a few days or weeks or whatever. ---
I still see some plot holes to this theory, but something else to think about.
