O's still being weird about his arm. I just put in for a sub and need to send my plans in. I'm planning to take him to the pediatrician prior to going for more x-rays. He's letting me manipulate his arm without crying but his body tenses every time I do it. I read that sometimes a second realignment is needed. Hopefully that will do the trick and I'll have a normal O by nap time. I would like to have him check out the snow at some point.
jessila, I'm sorry his arm is still bothering him. Hopefully the ped can get it better! budders, enjoy your double snow day, I'm jealous!
As for me - nothing exciting, just a normal Wednesday. DS decided to throw a tantrum this morning because he had to put on his shoes to go to school, so that was fun. And it's super freezing outside, but I think today is supposed to be the last day of real bitter cold for us, hopefully for the season!

jessila hope he gets all fixed up and can enjoy the snow!!
It's been a long couple days of decluttering/packing/staging for selling, and house goes on the market, TODAY! Now to clean out/organize garage 😫 Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Im feeling jealous that we don't get snow days here noatter how much snow we get. Rough night... DH has the stomach flu and little one was up in the middle of the night because the wind woke him up.
Normal Wed over here. DC drop off was ok, but I bribed E into his carseat with these two plastic Easter eggs we got at the store the other day for Easter baskets. He carries them wherever he's gone for the past three days and keeps shaking them. I'm going to go with that distraction until it gets old!
I get off from work an hour early today so I'm in a pretty good mood. Also I'm planning the world's easiest dinner of grocery store rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes with a frozen veg tonight. Maybe I'll even have us eat on paper plates. I'm all about ease in the middle of the week!
I'm taking cake smash photos today, and the mom has a very specific vision that I don't think I can meet, so I'm nervous. All of her inspiration photos were gorgeous outdoor shots and that is not a possibility at this time of year. Wish me luck!

Poor O!
I completely spaced on the Iditarod this year. LBB and I were going to follow along.
jessila, sorry to hear about O's arm. Let us know how the appt goes today
Night 6 with no bottle, screamed for 3 minutes again. But I think I can officially say we are off the bottle!
DS will have his cavity filled today. All my friends whose kids have had cavities said that the dentist used gas to calm them for the procedure. DS's didn't mention a thing about it when I asked how the procedure went. So...we will see. Right now I'm just getting my nerves out, I know that as soon as I pick DS from school I'll go into mom-mode and just get him through it. Wish me luck.

holliberry28 DD only takes about 8oz of actual milk per day. She gets milk in her cup first thing when she wakes up and then drinks water the rest of the day. She eats yogurt and cheese as snacks throughout the day. Our pedi said she doesn't need any more than that, but I think that's a new standard that some pedis might not agree on.
ETA- yay for no tears! How did the old babysitter take the news? Did you ever tell her about the camera?

Yea, my pediatrician said something similar re: dairy. What kinda cup do you use for her for her milk?
We use ThinkBaby for water, but I think he needs something different for his milk because he isn't too into it if it's not coming out of a bottle.
So the preschool class has had these monkeys they made hanging outside their room for the last couple months. Us parents have always giggled at the cute one that looks like a bug/snail instead of a monkey. They got to take them home today...and guess who's it was!!
holliberry28, C's milk intake varies daily. So far today he's only had a few sips. I offer him milk with breakfast, lunch and dinner. (In a regular sippy) C knows how to open our fridge and get out his cup though. I was told no more than 24oz of milk. Some days we are lucky if he drinks 8oz others we are hitting close to 24. ETA: he has a sippy of water available to him all day. If we're playing in the kitchen and he wants water I will give it to him in a regular cup no lid.
holliberry28, so glad the adjustment is going well! S is a milk addict. She probably has 16-20oz of milk a day. She is on a cheese strike right now, but loves yogurt.

holliberry28, DS gets milk at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before bed - he probably winds up drinking around 16-24 oz total per day on average - his sippy cups hold around 9 oz, and we top it off/refill about 2-3 times a day, so it's not really an exact science. We actually stopped giving him milk any other time because he was downing so much, and then didn't seem to be as hungry for his meals. He always has water available throughout the day, no clue how much he actually goes through though because he's constantly grabbing a new cup from his cupboard and taking it to the fridge, and then there's no reasoning with him that he already has a gazillion other water cups all over.

She was upset, but overall, took it well. We offered to mail her a day's worth of pay. She didn't want a check, so she came by on Sunday for cash and said bye to M. I didn't tell her about the camera, because I didn't want to explain the real reason we were letting her go. We told her that my mom is retiring and wants to watch M twice a week. I didn't want to hurt her feelings, even though I wasn't happy with her. FWIW, we were up front with the new babysitter and she knows we have a camera.

Thank god we love cheese
We use these gerber graduate ones from Target-
I like that they are more like the side of a regular cup (but easier to clean than the 360s IMO). Have you tried offering it to him in a straw cup to see what he does? We use a straw cup the rest of the day for water.
Sigh. Do I get an award for first June 15 baby with a fracture? O's humerus is fractured where it attaches to his shoulder. We'll be trying to get an orthopedist appointment tonight. I've already super ugly cried about it.

Thanks! Yes, he drinks water from his ThinkBaby straw cup.
Need a good cup alternative for Milk though. Will look for those at Target! FFWC: I could not figure out how the 360 cups worked. #brain fail

AW about LBB. Because his birthday is October, most of his friends are older than him. I've always felt he was a little behind them in preschool, even though he was only months younger. It was really hard on him when they aaaallll moved up to Kindergarten without him.
But now that he is the oldest in his class, he is really excelling. Like leaps and bounds. They started sight words 2 wks ago, bringing a set home, learning them, being tested, and then getting a new set. He has already completed the program (all 8 sets), and would have done so earlier, but his teacher asked us to hold off a couple times so she had time to make the new sets. He is so proud of himself, and we are so proud of him.
Sigh. Do I get an award for first June 15 baby with a fracture? O's humerus is fractured where it attaches to his shoulder. We'll be trying to get an orthopedist appointment tonight. I've already super ugly cried about it.
Hugs. You may be the first on the board, but not the first J15 baby. My friend's daughter fractured her Tibia in December. She wiggled out of dad's hands as he was setting her down.
Do not beat yourself up. He's going to be fine. Maybe even super stronger!
