Stopped to let the pup greet a dog on our morning walk. Got a surprise belly rub and toddler pat, and the lady even touched my kid's teddy bear before I could escape. It is too early for these shenanigans.

I have a WWPD....
So I made an appointment to see my doula/therapist to talk about my anxiety and mood swings. I'm really looking forward to it. But. The office she is based out of is 44 miles away from my house, and I'd be driving there in rush hour, all the way through the city. So, basically anywhere from an hour to 90 minute drive each way.
It usually isn't an issue because she'll do most of my appointments at my house, and obviously she'll come to the birthing center when Oliver is born, so I won't hardly ever have to go to her office.
So my question is....would it be weird to ask her if she'd be willing to do our session via FaceTime or Google Hangout, just this once? It would seriously save me probably 3 hours of driving time this afternoon. I'm trying to balance the importance of talking with her and keeping myself in a good place with the added anxiety that 3 hours of commuting today would add to my plate...
TL;DR- My doula is really far away; is it weird to request our counseling session via FaceTime or Google Hangout??
Good morning! I'm 35 weeks today. This milestone has me freaking out for some reason. I had DD at 39 weeks. I have a crap ton of stuff I want to have done before 36 weeks and not a lot of time in the next week to get it done. Eep!
Second kids tend to swing in the opposite direction from the first... so, if you went early with the first by X days, you may very well go late by X days with #2
Just saying...
That's a thing? Never knew that! So whenever 2.0 happens he/she may not make me wait until 41 weeks?
Is everyone (or at least those of us on the East Coast) shoveled out?
I think we got just over a foot, although it's hard to tell with the drifting. We woke up to our driveway already cleared out by our neighbor. We are going to bring them some beers and I am happy with this arrangement.
Still a complete white out here. And our snowblower broke last night, so we're pretty snowed in right now.
akraus2015 I don't think that's weird or unreasonable at all. If that's what helps you, then do it. Just make sure you can do it in a place where you will be comfortable.

I'd probably still leave work early and just go home and chat with her. That way I'm skipping rush hour traffic all together and saving myself probably 2 hours of driving.

It's a thing. It obviously isn't every person's case, but it's a common thing that happens.

I have heard that, too. I was induced with DD at 40+3 and she was nowhere near coming on her own at that point. I keep having a really weird feeling that I'm not going to make it to my schedule RCS date at 39+2 with baby boy. Everything about this pregnancy is just different.

I both want this one to come earlier than DS (40w4d) and don't at the same time....having a newborn kind of freaks me out LOL. I do have a feeling this one may come earlier because I feel a lot different, but I think having to chase a toddler around might have something to do with that.

I would absolutely think those were acceptable suggestions.

Well that's horrible timing!!
It's our gravel driveway, it keeps sucking up rocks.
The driveway people were suppose to come out this week and go over the final details for next month when they come pave. lololol obviously not happening.

I already made my MWs promise to evict at 40 weeks... we shall see if he's like his brother and will decide to come on his own or rather be evicted

Same. 40+6 felt like forever with DD, but also scared to have a toddler and a newborn.
PirateCat - I do have Yak Trax. I just feel silly wearing them over snow boots when everyone else seems to manage. H said if it's really icy he wants me to wear them, but everything is nice and shoveled/salted at least today. So far so good.

I've never heard this before, I've only ever heard that 2nd babies usually come earlier than the first. I wouldn't mind going over- the more of my leave that's in the summer, the better!- but I want to be prepared in advance this time, instead of assuming I have another weekend and having the baby that Friday, not that I had that happen last time or anything...

ourcrazynavylife - Nile River and Sunstone are my favorites from those 5. With the light colored shower tile, as long as you have sufficient lighting in the bathroom I don't think any of those colors would look too dark.

Haha, I don't think other people pay attention to your footwear as much as you think they do. And I don't think you'd look silly at all, even if you weren't pregnant, and you certainly have every reason to take extra precautions while pregnant.

I always heard second babies come earlier too.
Nope, I know quite a few people who went early with #1 and past due with #2 and vice versa.
