Home from the zoo. I am exhausted. I plan on doing nothing but relaxing and eating the rest of the day. Well until our run club at the brewery tonight.

ThankfulSnail, when baby boy comes my parents will be watching him FT for the first 6 months so no daycare for him but we're probably going to switch DD from 2 days a week to FT daycare which will more than double the cost. I'm hoping that will finally make H realize that we're going to have to cut out eating out so much. We don't have many other places to trim our budget!
Hugs I know it is tough. It took about 6 days for my milk to come in. Have you talked to a LC? I would eat lots of oatmeal, bf cookies, heating pads on your boobs. Fed baby is best so whatever you do is best.
I met with the LCs in the hospital and we have a private appt next week. My milk is in but I'm only getting enough for one baby (like 2oz every two or three hours). I'm trying to make a hard effort to up my water intake to see if that helps.
Water is important, but calories are important for me as well. Make sure you're eating well and enough.
You are doing an amazing job!!! And it sounds like you have a great approach to feeding your girls. Hopefully as you continue to demand milk from your body it will start to produce more for you.
I do have a feeling we will still eat out a lot when the baby comes, but we are working on filling up the chest freezer so hopefully the convenience of having food already prepared coupled with the hassle of going out with the baby will discourage us enough, but I really don't know. I just know that we can't afford to spend as much as we do now on eating out in addition to the added baby expenses.
We actually found it pretty easy to eat out when DD was an infant. We would just bring her in her carseat and she would sleep or look around. But she was a pretty content baby. Once she hit around 6 months, though, it became more difficult because she was not longer content to just sit. Now that she's 3, and completely unmotivated by food, many of our meals out consist of one of us walking around with her while the other eats. That's why I would like to stop eating out so much - it's not like we're enjoying a meal together! At least when we're home, H and I can eat together and DD can go play with her toys after she eats 2 bites.
With our luck, I'm sure our baby will be just great at eating out.
I hate putting on lotion, especially on my hands. So much. My hands are really dry right now but I just hate the slick or greasy feeling afterwards so much that I wait until they literally hurt to start putting lotion on them.
DH actually commented on my dry hands the other day when he took my hand and I shot eye lasers at him. Keep your hands to yourself if you're going to complain about my skin!
Haha, my H has the softest, perfectly moisturized hands and lips and he never uses lotion or chapstick - it's obnoxious!
I could not get my toddler to unlatch and stay asleep so I asked H (who took the day off to work on our to do list before the baby) for help. He sang and talked to her for 10 minutes and then she was out. Not having boobs is a super power and I am jealous.

Called the midwife because my cramping is getting worse and has moved to my back. Also while I was driving I started leaking something (HOPEFULLY just urine...I have no idea). But she sent me to L&D. Waiting to see a doctor now. I'm a little bit scared.
Confession- I just called the emergency maintenance line over a beeping smoke alarm 🙈
It's beeping every 30-45 seconds, and it's a plug in one, not a battery. They need to physically replace it. I wouldn't have had to call the emergency line if the damn lady at the rental office was actually there until 5pm like she's supposed to be!

I feel so silly guys. The nurse said it's likely all just from intercourse this morning. She still wants the doctor to check me out to make sure, but I seriously feel like an idiot. F'ing PGAL brain...

better safe than sorry! Glad it turned out it was nothing

You're not an idiot. It's better to be safe than sorry. You're definitely not the first to end up in L&D due to that and you won't be the last

It is never a bad idea to get checked out, don't feel silly!

Is he over 6 months? If so, Advil stat! I also recommend sweetooth teethers thrown in a freezer
My kid didn't get a tooth until he was past 13 months so early teething is not something I'm familiar with...
He's about 10.5 months lol
He's been a little fussy but not horrific. But I'm sure the worst is yet to come heh I noticed when he worked up from his afternoon nap 😱
Hopefully it won't take them too long to cut!
On top of delayed teething, I have a slow teether so it takes about a month for each tooth to fully come out. (Thank gah for teething necklaces!) The worst part for us is when it's trying to cut through the gum.

The midwife checked my cervix and said it's very soft, with a slight opening at the front, but still "technically closed", and my water didn't break, so they're going to let me go home.
Soft and "technically closed"...what does that even mean?? I tried getting more details but he didn't really say much else. Said to follow up with my regular midwife.
