I'm glad you are feeling better magaroni86! Migraines are the absolute worst.
Reminder to all to check your insurance benefits! I thought I didn't have to pay copays for OB appointments and they kept telling me I did, even though I didn't my last two pregnancies. I checked my EOB and I was definitely right! I'll hopefully get a refund from my doctor, although they are making me jump through hoops for it. It's over $100 at this point, which I could definitely use right now!
Every time I go pee I have to pee within minutes of going. Each time I pee a lot. I can't believe my bladder is already having a hard time emptying. My uterus has definitely grown in the last week. I was feeling that heavy uncomfortable feeling yesterday so I'm assuming it's just my uterus messing it all up. It doesn't help when you're traveling though. We end up stopping so much.
Oh, I had a dream last night the baby was moving and it was like an alien trying to escape from my abdomen. I remember thinking, wow, I never even felt a flutter!

Pregnancy brain has definitely arrived for me...I was making dip in the crockpot with canned chicken. I opened the first can, drained it in the sink and poured the chicken in. The second can however, I opened and drained INTO the crockpot...damnit!!

MH went skiing for the day and I'm pretty excited to have the day to myself...though I have ambitions of cleaning the house, I have a feeling the nap to cleaning ratio will be heavenly in favor of napping...

Hahaha laurenash323! I feel the same about pregnancy brain. I was going to make DD a taco but instead made one for myself. Then I was all confused on why she was the only one left without food...
My kids are tired out from all the cousins. They both went to bed last night at 6:30. It is now almost 8 am and I'm going to have to wake them up for church.

I was brushing my teeth the other night at one of our hotels and instead of spitting the water into the sink, I spit it in my bag with all my toiletries. I was like, wtf did I just do???

Vacation last week was filled with pregnancy brain moments.
The kicker? I lost my room key. I knew I put it in a safe spot one night, but couldn't find it the next day. Looked all over the room for it. Could not find. The kind guy at the check in counter gave me not one, but two extra keys. I think he felt bad for me.
I found the original key several days later. Where you ask? In. My. Wallet.

Ugh pregnancy insomnia. I would usually take a unisom, but I woke up at 330, so too late to take one. Now it's after 4...my alarm is set to go off at 530...😩
I have my cervix check ultrasound at 945 and cannot wait! I hit the 16 week mark on Saturday and have been feeling a lot of movement. I'm finally starting to feel optimistic that I'm going to be bringing a baby home this summer!

laurenash323 I usually Amon the same insomnia schedule...up around 3:30 for an hour or two...and I get up at 6. Abated to sleep last night, or we could've commiserated as the sun came up 😭

MH left today to start his new job. It's a fly in/fly out job so he left today for 10 days. I'm not looking forward to solo parenting for 10 days, and to kick things off I just heard my cat puke upstairs.
He left at 4am and wanted to give our daughter a hug before going and I said "best case scenario she wakes up overnight and you can go cuddle her". She always STTN and I can probably count on one hand how many times she's had a MOTN wake up. Well sure enough 2am on the dot and she starts crying so he went in and cuddled with her for 10 minutes before putting her back down and she just chatted away and giggled the whole time. So I'm glad they got a special moment before he left.
My back already hurts...a lot. Granted, I have a giant two year old (35+lbs) that always wants to be held, but I am thinking the slight redistribution of my center of gravity already is a bad sign for the next 7 months.
I tried prenatal yoga last time, and couldn't find a studio that I liked. Belly band was a savior when I got a belly, and stretching helped a little, but I had pretty constant back pain. What did you ladies do? Did anyone go to a chiropractor? I want to be proactive this time...
littleb92, I have always just suffered through it. Going to the chiropractor sounds good though. I have heard they do wonders. My DH doesn't agree with going to the chiropractor because he thinks it's nonsense. I guess it's the MD in him. I may go this time around if my back starts hurting bad.
littleb92 chiropractor will help! I didn't see one with DS and my back hurt most of the pregnancy. With DD, I was already doing some chiropractor treatment to fix my back when I got pregnant with her and it really helped. I didn't go my whole pregnancy, but I definitely noticed a difference.
caybeh: Thanks! I need to see what is covered with our insurance, but honestly, I'm willing to pay out of pocket if it helps. I have general back pain normally, and the fact that I make giant babies doesn't help . Now I just need to find a good one...

I've never been when pregnant but have one that I go to on occasion for running related pains. If you find a good one, they are 100% worth it. I had taken months off from running due to a weird pain in my knee. After seeing the chiro I was good to go that afternoon. I may schedule a visit soon too because I already have sciatic nerve pain this time around.
So, along with the good news at my First Tri screen, I also found out I have an anterior placenta. I know it's not a big deal at all in the long run, but I've been so looking forward to feeling movement, and now I'm bummed that it might be a while, and that it might be hard to feel throughout this pregnancy.
I had an anterior placenta with DS too. I didn't feel him move until 23 ish weeks but once I did it was constant. I could still see him moving & everything. I'm actually a little nervous about how painful the kicks are going to be this time around since they were so hard even with the cushioning last time.

PT question for those of you who have been there. (tagging you leviosa, ) DS has done so well. He only wears a diaper at night now. According to the Oh Crap book it's easier to tackle night training at the same time. I'm just not sure whether to push the issue now since he's not even 2 or give him some time. Any thoughts?

I felt like taking diapers away at nap time helped a lot for night time. I originally tried night training at the same time and it was too overwhelming. Then I just kept her out of diapers during the day and she started staying dry. Then I took diapers away bc she stayed dry for weeks. She wet the bed every night for a week. So I started waking her right before I went to bed to let her go pee and then she eventually didn't need that. I think the transition from no diaper triggered the accidents. I just decided I wasn't looking back, we were just going to push through and figure it out. She randomly has accidents for a week at a time and then she stays accident free for months.

I never night trained DS. Granted, he was over 3 when he day trained. We just had him in pull ups over night and when he was consistently dry every morning, we put him in underwear. He was probably 3.5 when he did that. We just told him that if he does have to go during the night, he can get up and go. He has had a few times where he wet the bed but not very often. I think part of night training is developmental though.
I'm crabby today. Some family drama happened over the weekend paired with DH'S snoring like usual last night just has me in a funk. I have a friend from college coming over to visit today. She is single and has no kids. She can be blunt about things, so I hope I can keep it together and not blow up. She also thinks it's fun to take pictures of our kids to show DH' old girlfriend because she and this lady are friends. That was probably 15 years ago (way before he met me) that DH and his ex dated and they were only together 6 months. DH and I think it's weird that she shows pictures of my kids to the old gf. And maybe today I will say something about it. Plus old gf is also married with kids....

See? I'm in a funk...
I totally get the pictures thing. It seems a little odd to me. I think the availability of digital pictures has kind of desensitized a lot of people to privacy and basic manners.
