I'm up earlier than I was hoping and haven't had coffee yet. I want strawberries. I had some good ones a few weeks ago, but our grocery store didn't have any last time I went. Can't wait for them to be in season and always available!
I love strawberries!!!!!! My mom is allergic so they were always a treat to me when I did get them so they are my favorite! And I have been known to get 3 pints and eat 1 by myself in 1 sitting.

Good morning, ladies! Oh strawberries... I can't wait for them to be in season. I'm one of those people who refuses to buy them out of season, so we only eat them for a few months out of the year. But when they start ripening at the farm, I've been known to eat little else for days.
I'm dragging a bit today. DH and I had date night last night, so I was up later than normal and didn't sleep well. I have a feeling it's going to be a long day!
I'm dragging as well. I spent most of yesterday unpacking and putting things away so I'm really sore. I can't wait until the entire house has gotten unpacked...or at least my stuff so I don't have to unpack anything else

My friend has been sending me snapchats from India all last week, and this week Dubai and Istanbul. My other friend is sending them from Tokyo. Can I be traveling the world right now, too!?
I got to a little bit about a month ago which was awesome, I just wish I were somewhere without snow haha.
I'm feeling very down and unmotivated. I think I know what to do to get back on track, but Idk if I have what it takes and I just feel like sitting here and feeling sorry for myself.(figuratively, I am working)
alwayscheese, I've been feeling that way this week as well. It sucks and I strongly dislike when I go through these phases. It's worse knowing what I need to do and not being able to make myself do it. Here's hoping you emerge from it soon!

I so totally get the itchy-feet travel urge!! Right now, a retired Aussie couple that I volunteered with for a year in Vietnam is travelling through Spain and their Facebook updates are killing me. When you couple that with the fact that I was just turned down for a job that would have included international travel, I'm feeling pretty stuck right now.

Ugh I'm sorry you didn't get that job. What are your dream places to visit?
I have the chance to go to SE Asia next year with the nonprofit I work for, I reeeeaaaallllyyyyy hope that works out. I want to be at the Taj Mahal.

I struggle to come up with a Top List since there really aren't too many places I wouldn't go. But most likely to happen in the next few years would be Japan (b/c that's where DH wants to go), Vietnam (because I want to go back), and western Europe due to the relative ease/child-friendliness of it. Places like Morocco and N. Africa, Turkey, and India (I've been once, but want to explore more) will most likely have to wait until we can do child-free travel and/or political situations calm down a bit.

Download the app Hitlist! I've seen some flight deals on there that were like, half of what I expected for places like Spain and Germany. Still not cheap but you might find some good deals someday when you are free to travel!
I would LOVE Vietnam. That would be amazing. What did you do there before?

Vietnam is lovely. I spent 3 semesters teaching English in at two universities in the South, near the Cambodian border. Definitely off the tourist track, and not always easy, but an amazing experience. I also led three tours of students through Vietnam and Cambodia which I would love to do again, if the opportunity presents itself.
I so want to travel-life has gotten in the way over the last few years so haven't been able to afford to splurge much. Our credit took a huge hit after all the crap I went through with an ex-boss and while we are sitting ok on current stuff I did have stuff that went to collections due to not having a job and companies not working with me on it....so am trying to work on getting that all taken care of/resolved over the next 12 months.

Hoping that next summer we can travel.
Ugh I hate how many things have been affected by that stuff with your ex-boss. I hope you can too!! Where would you want to go if you could?
