kleigh, thankfully I have weekends off! When I first started here about two years ago I was doing 7-3:30, then it switched to 6:30-3, which I didn't mind because live 20miles from work, so I missed all the traffic, but this 6am start time is nonsense. I'm not even a morning person!
I just got home after our little playdate and C did surprisingly well. I didn't know if he would be ok in the car for the 30 minute drive since he barely made it 5 minutes yesterday. But he was quiet and actually stayed awake the whole drive. Now we're home hanging out. I'm waiting for him to be in a good mood so I can change him into his outfit and take pictures. We'll be heading to ILs after H gets home.
I'm a little annoyed that dinner isn't until 7 tonight since it'll be right when C needs to go to bed. They have a nursery set up there so hopefully he sleeps ok, but one of us will probably end up missing dinner.
So my stylist is a friend of a friend but we've gotten close over the years. She used to work for other salons and then opened her own "My Salon Suite" and over Xmas she just bought this salon (which she used to work at).
She took a "before" shot of me. That can only mean I'm a good candidate for extreme transformation, AKA I look like a mess.
vinolove That's hilarious. I read that conversation to dh. Lillian doesn't seem to realize that Lilah will one day talk, too. Boy will she be surprised.
dashook I'm sorry your nanny isn't doing her job the way she should. Childcare is ridiculously stressful. And expensive. It really shouldn't be. I hope you figure out a solution that is less stressful and works for your family.

We are just about to get home from the beach. Hiii ATX!! Not going downtown, though. SXSW is...not my favorite.
We had a ton of fun on our trip. Both kids actually slept pretty well for a change. I feel very well rested. It did not hurt having 2 sets of grandparents to help watch the kids.
Today is my FIL's birthday so we'll be going out to dinner tonight. I also plan to have some Irish cream with my hot chocolate.
O! W has t-ball tomorrow morning! It'll be his first practice/game.
How exciting!! Little kids playing sports is pretty much the cutest thing ever. I've been looking to get DS1 into some sort of sport but everything in my area seems to start at age 4, so I guess we'll have to wait until next year.

It's 6 o'clock, H isn't home from work yet and C just fell asleep after fighting it for hours. He's going to be ready for a bottle as soon as he wakes up which I HOPE isn't until we get to ILs house but that is very unlikely. I can already tell that tonight is going to be rough.
goldenlove3 I hope C surprises you with a nice, easy night. starbuck27 everyone in our family is chomping at the bit for DS to start playing golf too. Our club starts "little swingers" lessons at 3 so he won't get to do that til next summer at the earliest. But he did roll some putts in the pro shop last year at about 16 months old and he has pretty good hand-eye so I'm excited to see how he does.
H is on his way home, D is going down for her final nap, and DS is in his room, bathed and ready for stories, songs, and bedtime. Halle-fucking-lujah this week from hell is so close to being over.
goldenlove3 I hope he doesn't give you to hard of a time tonight!
dashook you made it all week solo!! Enjoy the extra hands this weekend.
starbuck27 O started soccer last summer at 2 and it might have been the cutest thing I've ever seen. Do they have uniforms? You better share a pic if they do!!

What about swim? They can usually start lessons really young. We are lucky and have a lot of options for kids sports.
My MIL wants to get him into golf lessons soon. He's had a fisher-price set since his first birthday and got a kid's club set for his bday this year. They watch golf together and play in her yard. We found a place that gives lessons starting at 3 so she is chomping at the bit to sign him up. She actually took him to the driving range today and sent a video of him whacking the ball. He's a pretty good golfer. Better than me.
We've done swim in the past, I'll have to look into again.
I'm dying at W hitting golf balls at the driving range! How adorable!
I suck at selfies, took a couple earlier and realizing they either don't show the cut or color so here two because the color looks off in the first one bc I think the lighting sucks.
Are you supposed to smile in selfies? Look at the camera? I'm so old.
vinolove Yes, sadly AV did the same thing she did the night before. Up at 1:45a and wouldn't go back to sleep until 4:30a. Normally I change and feed her and she falls asleep on the bottle and I take it out and lay her down. Doesn't matter what time of night. I have no clue why she suddenly hates me lol.
O slept thru the night! 730-615 I was supposed to put eye cream in his eyes at 330 but that always wakes him up and we are up for at least an hour so I skipped it this time. I needed sleep.
