I was hoping to sleep in today since H isn't here but no such luck. DH was noisy and woke S up and because she took so long to get her back to sleep now I'm awake. I don't know of any st paddy's day events going on today, which is a bummer. The parade is tomorrow afternoon. I have a bad cramp in my calf so I'm going to call my doctor to see if she thinks it could possibly be a clot. It's hard to know since I've been exercising if it's just exercise related.

I realized last night that DD has almost nothing green - oops! I sent her to daycare in a teal and yellow striped dress that has some tiny green stripes thrown in there.

I had the same realization this morning. L is in lime green socks and a plaid shirt that has tiny lime green stripes.

TGIF! Ready to survive this work day in a better mood than I was yesterday. SS argued with me about my leggings being teal rather than green this morning. Lol, whatever dude.
I don't know if you guys know this about me but I'm all about the holiday clothes. So S has a onesie and a cute outfit from when H was her age. H has 2 different shirts. The reason they have 2 is so they can wear one today and one for the parade tomorrow.

R's grandmas always make sure she has outfits for every holiday. She is looking pretty cute today. I will post a picture in the facebook group.

I have been working from home for a few weeks since my train line is under repair and my boss is awesome and gives me this flexibility. And I have learned that although I take DD to daycare in the morning with her hair is sticking up in every direction, she comes home with her hair neatly brushed and smoothed down. I need to be better about brushing her hair I guess.

I totally forgot it was St. Paddy's Day. DS is wearing red.
We're on day 3 of purposefully doing 1 nap/day. Man it's really hard to occupy a 1 year old with a 30 sec attention span for 5 hours straight. Luckily going outside helps but it's going to be a hot mess when we're stuck inside due to rain.
Totally cried snuggling DS before I left for work this morning but the commute was shorter than expected and it's been nice to see some adults and have problems to solve etc. Someone scheduled a meeting for me this afternoon lol, I'm not the primary but it kinda made me lol. Still miss my kiddo of course but it's not as bad as I feared.

A coworker brought in the most amazing looking St. Paddy's day cupcakes. I'm going to be sick to my stomach, gain ten pounds instantly, and have green lips/tongue for the rest of the day, but I'm still about to devour one.

Ew to a meeting on your first day. I hope the rest of your day goes well and you're back to snuggling your baby soon!

We've transitioned to one nap a day. It kind of just happened with him taking those super long naps earlier in the week from not feeling well, and I've just kept it going. It is indeed hard to keep a one year old occupied for 5 hours straight. He gets clingy when he's bored. But it's going okay so far so we will keep it up.
Baby O update from my sister: "Owen just left for the OR. Doing another washout, placing another IV line because 2 have gone out, placing a temporary pedi-cath, and going to pull him off of ecmo down there for a little while and see how he does. If he can't stay off, which is what pretty much everyone suspects at this point, then he will go back on for a few more days. If he can stay off then they will let him rest over the weekend and close the ASD early next week and close up his chest."

Fx he does well when on his trial "release" from it! Thanks for the update.
Hello! I worked this morning because I had a meeting I needed to attend. I picked the kids up at noon and they're napping now. I'm kind of crabby, although I'm not sure why. I'm kind of wishing I had left the kids at daycare for the rest of the day so I had a few hours to myself at home. I have no plans for this weekend other than a ton of laundry and cleaning. And I need to meal plan and shop. Ugh.
I didn't buy the kids any green or SPD clothing. DD wore some dark green leggings with a dress that had small green dots, and DS wore green sweatpants and a shirt that had green sleeves. Just his normal clothes. I don't go crazy over SPD. Never really have. Apparently I need to start though because most school kids nowadays are expecting to make traps and catch leprechauns. DS was asking me if one was going to come. Gonna have to step up my game.
Last night DD came to sleepin my bed with me around 12:30 so H got kicked out to her room. It was actually better that way. Her room is directly across from the bathroom. She kept getting up whenever she heard him in the bathroom making horrifying noises. But after the switch, she slept soundly. However, I kept waking up every couple hours to make sure she wasn't going to fall off the bed.
This morning I took the kids to a stroller walking group at an indoor track. It was pretty fun. I actually talked to some other mothers! There were only about 7 of us there, so it made it easier to talk to people.
Other than that, not much else happening. I need to run to Walmart soon for a few things.
I totally forgot about St. Patrick's day so neither kid is in green.

Yep, V has nothing green She went to daycare in teal as well, that's the closest to green we have!

Woah. The kids are making me a bit nuts today. C is a whine machine. And L had a late morning nap so it turned into a one nap day. Is it bedtime yet? Also, I went to spin again this morning. I almost died. But didn't, so bonus. And kids enjoyed child watch so that's good too. We had shamrock pancakes for lunch and they thought that was amazing too trtlcrzy sending good thoughts to baby O and family!!

Happy St. Patty's Day ladies! We enjoyed our day with green foods, music and fun hats.
I took DD1 out in my mom's yard to try skiing for the first time fully expecting there to be a lot of frustration and whining. To my delight she was a natural and took the odd crossing of skis in stride. She just picked up turning without me even having to show her and was moving so well! I'm so excited to potentially have a trail buddy down the road! I hadn't been on my skis since before I was pregnant with her so I really enjoyed pulling them out again. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for it either.
Tomorrow I have a massage booked. I'm very excited!
I'm so pissed. I emailed the photographer back in January to schedule S's 1 year pics. We settled on last Saturday. Because of the weather we ended up moving it to tomorrow. I told her, from the beginning, that I wanted to do indoor pictures. I told her S would not have weather appropriate outfits for outside pics. She emailed me yesterday to confirm the details. I told her again that I wanted to do indoor and she acted like it was the first she ever heard of it. So then she said she had to check with the place she rents to do indoor shoots. She finally emailed me at 8:30 tonight that the place is Booked and asked if there was another time that would work. No. I want to do picture tomorrow. So now she's asking her friends if she can use their studio or trying to think of another indoor option. Seriously, get your shit together.
And then, to add to my annoyance this evening, S woke up 45 minutes after I put her down for bed. I am not going to bed with her at 9:15 and she will literally not go to sleep at all unless I'm laying next to her. I really can't wait until she has her own room. Right now I'm letting her CIO and it's not going well.

That's annoying and frustrating. Why on earth would a photographer think your entire session during winter would be outside? I know you're a little warmer than here but you're still in winter. 🤔 You'd think she'd have both options available to do some indoor and some outdoor if the weather allowed the day of.
So I kind of have a cold. Mainly a stuffy nose that might be the product of our dry house. I'm fine, you know, life goes on. Gotta handle it and everything that is our children and household. But tonight when I was going to head up to bed I went to give DH a kiss, just a peck, but he barely pecked me and was like, "ew you're sick." Literally 15 minutes later he comes up to bed and says, "will you give me a massage?" Really? NO.

We've had some days in the upper 50s/low 60s so we could do a shoot outdoors with pants and long sleeves. But I have a dress and skirt picked out for the girls to wear so no. I got a message this morning that she's been up sick all night so now we have to reschedule anyways. All I'm saying is that after all of this I better get a discount on my session.

TP to your husband. What a dummy. If anything he should have given you a massage.
