Scan went well! Little girl was not cooperative initially but then was better! All looks good but I have partial placenta previa, have a follow up ultrasound at next appt in 4 weeks, really hopes it moves which she said it usually does
PepperPottsJ fuzzy baby! Okay so I did some research and can ask our neonatologist at work tonight, if you want, but this link is really informative about CPCs. (You may have already found it but I read it and was really reassured for you and your baby).
"In about 1 to 2 percent of normal babies — 1 out of 50 to 100 — a tiny bubble of fluid is pinched off as the choroid plexus forms. This appears as a cyst inside the choroid plexus at the time of ultrasound. A choroid plexus cyst can be likened to a blister and is not considered a brain abnormality."
"What are the odds that it is a sign of trisomy 18?
The precise rate of risk is difficult to estimate and is somewhat controversial, but most doctors believe it is well under 1 percent. In other words, a fetus with choroid plexus cysts but an otherwise normal ultrasound has a better than 99 percent chance of not having trisomy 18. A normal alpha fetoprotein (AFP) test further reduces the likelihood of trisomy 18."
"Choroid plexus cysts are relatively common in normal fetuses. Most fetuses with a choroid plexus cyst are normal. Furthermore, many of the abnormalities associated with trisomy 18 can be detected by a careful ultrasound. In fact, fetuses with trisomy 18 almost always demonstrate abnormalities on ultrasound in addition to choroid plexus cysts...."
Of course I understand you freaking out, I would too. But i think you had the whole genetic work up done, right? So if that is all clear, I think this is just a little blip. And it also said "The natural course for a CPC is to resolve or disappear."
So I am crossing all my fingers and toes for it to be gone. Did they mention anything about follow up u/s or something?
I'm going to call my OB on Monday re: follow-up, the NIPT came back <1:10000 and my AFP was fine also. I may insist on a revisit for my sanity. I also still have a low lying placenta so going back at 28 weeks was the only thing the MFM reviewing the scan wanted.
Rational me knows I need to chill, And I'm definitely in a better state than I was hours ago. Thank you so much xoxoxoxox
Baby looked fantastic, still measuring ahead by almost a week. They did discover that I have a marginal placenta previa but aren't concerned about it. I'll have a follow-up scan at 28 weeks to see if it's moved.

Had the anatomy scan this morning and everything is looking good. I have anterior placenta which explains why I haven't felt baby move much until recently. We're still team blue.
Had our anatomy scan today. Everything they could see looks good. He is measuring around the 50th percentile for head, waist, arms, and legs. Feet look big (no surprise since DH wears a size 14). Couldn't get a good view of heart or spine. So I have a fetal echocardiogram in 2 weeks (apparently this is the norm for people who did IVF-at least in this town) and then another a/s in 4 weeks to look at the spine. Hey, I'm ok with seeing the baby 3 times in the next month after not seeing him for the last 7! Today definitely made me feel better about things. We told my parents it's a boy and my mom has already gone shopping. I know people at work will ask tomorrow but I'm not ready to tell yet.
king26 At work I pretend to be team green.. they kept asking pretty much ever since we had our NT scan and I got fed up lol. They haven't asked since. I use the team green thing for everybody who nags me about it. Works like a charm lol. We do know we are team pink but want to keep it a secret to most people outside our parents and my sister.
Howdy A17 ladies! I had my A/S on Friday and things look GREAT! My SCH (both bleeds) are completely gone! I don't have any "markers" that would suggest any issues, and everything is looking great. My two best friends went with me and I made them a deal that they could find out if it was a boy or girl, as long as they didn't tell me. There were lots of times where I had to cover my eyes as to not see girl or boy parts, but it was so great to see him/her. Right now, the baby is breech, but there is still lots of time for him/her to flip. I am SO relieved that things are finally good.

That's great news and how sweet of you to share that with your best friends! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is easy and uneventful.
Had our detailed follow up scan this morning. Babies still look great. Baby Girl (A) is 12 ounces and Baby Boy (B) is 14. Cervix is still long and closed. Here are their best photos since baby girl is still a bit shy.
Late comment is late y'all!! This is the first time in WEEKS that I have the time to actually sit down and read all of the posts..
@xamountofwords I'm sorry for the white spot scare but am glad it seems that it's not really something to worry about.
addymac yay gratz on team blue, so happy all is well and I hope you now can breath a little easier and really enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
marajadeskywalker gratz on team pink! I'm sorry the IPS test results somehow got stuck somewhere, I hope it didn't take long for them to forward them again. Maybe I missed an update elsewhere (if so, sorry about that!) but did you need to do more testing or is all okay??
PepperPottsJ love the thumbs up *g* Even, or perhaps especially, when the dr says not to worry, it's hard nót to worry, isn't it? The info addymac included was awesome and I'm glad it helped you calm down a little. Have you any more news since? Hopefully the 28wk scan will take away all the worry.
jessa1228 , What a neat sharp piccie! gratz on team pink:) Glad the drs aren't concerned about your placenta placement - hopefully the 28wk U/S shows it's moved!
mrshall1027 I too have placenta previa and didn't start feeling baby move up until semi-recently. Some days I feel her move then others hardly at all. Shame! But hey maybe when we near 40 weeks it'll work a bit as a buffer for too hard kicks? *g*
Mom2Ms so happy to read that your A/S earlier this month showed the SCHs are gone and there's no indication of any other issues! what a relief!
happyfeet9 Great news about your cervix and that both babies are doing well. Ahh baby girl may be shy but that's still a great photo! And I'm with jessa1228 , show me all the pics!
cali I think our babygirl is trying to suck on her thumb as well on one of the pics we got, cute!
razzy glad all went well and that's a great pic of your babyboy!
Testing everyone's limits on my pic posting. Had another appt this morning, still looking good! I'm carrying almost 4lbs of babies and feeling it. Baby girl decided to cooperate and give us a photo today
