I really want to go see Beauty and the Beast and enjoy a Starbucks green tea lemonade and double chocolate loaf in peace and quiet. Can someone come babysit? I'll pay it back I swear.

kleigh C loves the TV too. I try not to let him watch it too much but sometimes he'll just sit with H watching Jeopardy or golf for a few minutes. MIL let's him watch Mickey while he's playing with his toys. I don't think it'll be an issue as long as we're not leaving them there for hours like you said. Also +1 to trying to be more cautious about staring at my phone too much in front of him. He already learned to smile when I have it
dashook OMG that is so scary but thank God they are ok.
vinolove C's naps are ridiculous. He typically wakes up around 7:30 then takes his first nap an hour later. He is still napping every 2 hours (this seems to be extending slowly) and they last 45 minutes on the dot. Once in a while we'll get 2-3 hours out of him but it can be either early or late afternoon. Naps are all over.. in his crib, swing, couch or on a bed when at my mom's house.
So at 4-5 months they should be having 2 -1.5 hr naps, one in the morning 2 hours after wake up and one early afternoon with a shorter nap around dinner/5 Ish. So 3 total before bedtime.
Are you guys doing this? Are they in the crib? I'm striving for it now, because until now she has mostly been with me for naps after nursing. Which honestly has been fine because it makes me sit down and rest but with MH leaving I'm going to have a whole lot more to do so I can't have a barnacle baby.
Following. I have no advice. O just miraculously fell into this nap routine. E, not so much. (Typed as I sit here with sleeping baby on lap and right boob hanging out)
Also, I can't remember who said it (cause mobile) but I can't wait for her to roll consistently. O's sleep improved considerably when he could roll onto and sleep on his belly.

Me. And yup.
Lilah has been rolling for a couple of weeks now, but it wakes her up! I have to physically hold her in place while she falls asleep on her back. Lillian never was like that. She slept on her tummy just fine.

Henry just rolled front to back and back to front 2x (this is the first time he has done it on a flat surface and more than once, so officially not just a fluke). Please please please let this be a turning point for us.
YAY awesome job Henry!! Maybe you can teach Colin haha

So after claiming that we hardly get naps longer than 45 minutes, C is on 2 hours right now. He did wake up once at 40 minutes in but he still looked sleepy so we left him alone and he fell back asleep. He's in his swing though so that helps.

I'm about to take a nap. I think all the excitement of the week has caught up to me.
It was surprisingly cold and windy in Galveston so we didn't do much on the beach. We did fish (didn't catch anything though), walk on the beach, shop, and we spent some time at the Moody Gardens. DH and I went out to dinner alone the last night we were there which was really nice.
She just woke up from a 2 hour nap, which is long for her; but she also didn't have great naps earlier in the day and was definitely tired. Now she is wide awake, all smiles, and nursing happily

ETA thank you for asking!!
I'm just catching up now...are YOU ok? I cannot imagine. Talk about one of my worst fears....

Yeah, I'm okay now. Spent most of the day comforting DH over it even though I'm still so mad at him.
I just put D down for the night in her crib. For the first time ever (she usually goes in the RNP at night). She's done well in the crib for naps so I'm really hoping this will go smoothly. Pray for me.

MH tried keeping H's arms out of the swaddle tonight. It lasted less than 5 minutes.
She is swaddled.
I love the Merlin but I'm finding that she has too much mobility in the Merlin suit. So what happens is that when she has a wakeful moment, instead of just chilling out and falling back asleep, she brings her hands to her mouth and gets herself more upset until she's wide awake.
So I figure since transition time is near, it makes sense to use the swaddle while she's getting used to the crib. Once used to the crib, try swaddling one arm out, etc.
dashook Dammit did I buy the Merlin for nothing? LOL.
No! It is an awesome invention. My baby has just discovered how to foil it, enough that I am going another direction temporarily as I try to transition her from the RNP to the crib for overnight.

Yay! Good luck! I'm getting close to this as well, I think Tuesday is the night.
Abort mission.
It lasted 3 hours, so not horrible. But she broke the swaddle and couldn't resettle herself. I rocked her for a bit and put her back down in the RNP. We'll try again tomorrow.

That's a great start!
I don't swaddle J and she does go down in her crib after her first wake up/feed and stays there until morning, but it's just that initial bedtime and first long stretch that I've got to do
See, it's funny--D STTN so I am kinda gambling with all of it when I change something. But I mean, she's 4 months...she can't sleep in the RNP for much longer, so even though we have a system that works beautifully, I am forced to change it and I feel like I'm flying blind!
