sophiegrace that's not CIO. I do that w O. Sometimes nothing helps, he's clean, fed, and doesn't want the paci or to be rocked. Putting him down so he can work it out himself is the only thing that helps. It's good for them to learn to self soothe.
Still sick... like a broken record over here. Trying to nap in the bedroom but it's not happening. I heard O cry but I'm not going out there. H can figure it out and it's nice to only take care of me right now.

Tie me to my couch. M fell asleep nursing so I put her in her dockatot where she, of course, immediately woke up. There was no crying so I walked away. After 20 minutes she fell asleep. Since then she sleeps for a few minutes, whines, and falls back to sleep. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
She's falling asleep and not crying so I know she's ok. But holy batman am I struggling. It makes me wonder how much of her sleeping problems were unintentionally caused by me.
I can't go backwards now. I need to be able to help her get better at this.
So speaking of junk poking out... I had a roommate once. He liked to walk around in a shorty robe. I didn't ACTUALLY see anything, but I'm pretty sure that was pure luck.

Lucky for you. Kind of unfortunate for him.
It took me a second, but when it finally hit me I laughed so loudly that the dog barked.

O has decided he loves sucking his thumb and hates the pacifier. I honestly don't mind bc he can always find his thumb. I think that's what helped him STTN before he got sick. I will prob hate it when he's older and we have to break the habit. But for now it's nice he can soothe himself. Fun fact: H and I were both thumb suckers. I wonder if it's hereditary.
@sarahwithanh it's like Monty is telling us a story with that picture, "so then they put this tube in my mouth...." I'm glad the inevitable was at least accelerated. Hope he puts back on some ounces!
So I was a thumb sucker and no thumb suckers here yet. I'll have to ask if H was. I don't even know!

@sarahwithanh Love that picture! I'm glad you were able to pull the tube. Hopefully things go well from here.
vinolove Seeing those types of routines always worries me because C will just flip a switch in the middle of what we're doing and start screaming for food. Then he passes out while he's eating. Maybe it'll get better as he gets older. It's just hard to do anything except diaper, jammies and food most nights.
So my day started with the toddler vomiting SO MUCH stuff all over himself and the car seat. I then spent an hour and half trying to clean all the nooks and crannies of that. I'll see in the morning if it still smells. I really don't want to replace it just for vomit.
So O wasn't sick but was off the rest if the day. Not listening, pushing boundaries, tantrums, rough with his sister. I think I yelled his name a thousand times. Then I felt guilty bc obviously he wasn't feeling normal. And even if he was, my yelling wasn't helping him learn. Anyway, thank god it's Sunday and he returns to daycare tomorrow.
And of course E has gone down easily the last two nights but not tonight, when all I want to do is sit by my myself on the couch.

So after trying for weeks to get C to roll over again, he finally did it tonight when I let him play completely naked. He squirms around so much more when he's naked. He flipped over and did a 90 degree rotation and almost flipped back to tummy too! Guess he'll be doing more naked tummy time lol. And H got to see it too which was exciting.
Yikes that is quite the day from hell hangry ! Can we offer you some pantless men to distract yourself from it?? I hope O is feeling better in the morning. Correction, I hope O is feeling better overnight and not waking bc of all this.
@sarahwithanh I can never get enough of M! It's like even through everything he's been through he seems so positive and such a joyous little baby.
waitwhat Ya know what distracts men from March Madness, pantless women. It's the theme today. Or, you could just screw with the cables running to the tv. Also, I totally forgot you weren't here from the beginning bc you're basically awesome and that's all. Except for your taste in music. Poor girl.
sophiegrace Me too, I really feel like some of AVs sleep issues are because of me. Mostly bc in the beginning I had no clue what the hell was "wrong" with her, blaming "colic", and would just walk her around the house, tried feeding her while I walked her, swayed, rocked, performed sacrifices of the non human variety, etc.... And it's like, yeah duh ma, I'm just tired can you leave me the F alone. I wish babies came with manuals.
H has a pair of jeans with a hole in the crotch, it's a gdamn large hole. He refuses to get rid of them. He claims nostalgia because he's had them since we first got together (ok fine true). I have been unsuccessful in getting rid of them. Also, dude loves to go commando - not sure why ?
Here's the fun part.
He never knew they had a hole in them until the day he was laying on the couch and Celine jumped up to lay in his lap - so legs spread, but of course she has to sniff you before she settles. LSS they shared a moment.
Fun part made even more fun. We had gone pumpkin picking earlier that day with my family. My family had taken photos of us sitting on a hay bale. If you're really good at Where's Waldo, you're not gonna want to see these pictures.
ClassyMrsA, since I'm a lazy groomer I've definitely noticed some thinning out down there. I've also noticed my armpit hair has become really fine as well.
No, but I am into binge watching, should this be my next show? I just finished Jane the Virgin and I was missing out for sure, it's such a great show, so hilarious!
DH and I started watching it 2 weeks ago (long story) and I am into it!

I watched it at the end of my pregnancy and thought it was pretty good until the last couple seasons, then I had to force myself to finish it. I think a lot of it is overkill too. And Dan is probably the worst person ever on TV.
ETA- I was digging the music though. Brought back done high school memories!

Yeah we are only in season 2 and enjoying it, but if we finish the whole series I think we'll be forcing ourselves. We have a drinking game for it though and one of the rules is overly dramatic/unrealistic situations so who knows, maybe it'll just get more fun 😝

Haha just don't have a drink everytime someone ends up in the hospital!
