The closer tomorrow gets, the more I panic and want to cancel the interview. Even if it's only for a couple months, I just do not want to work 16 hours a week right now, and have to wrangle up some sort of child care option. Plus I'm now the next victim of this cold going around and I really don't care to spend the interview blowing my nose and coughing.
No pressure to accept it! But interviewing is always good practice and you don't want to burn any bridges I hope it's quick and painless.

SS was visiting his mom this weekend, so it was a low key time with lots of chores, DH and I being lazy, and plenty of playing with L. One of our friends was playing at a local burger and beer joint around lunch. We went and L was mystified by the music while mama got a mild buzz off of one beer. Lightweight. My aunt and cousin were in town for a concert so they dropped by which was nice. Now both kiddos are in bed and we're watching Drunk History. It's the episode with Lin Manuel Miranda talking about Alexander Hamilton. He's hilarious.

As someone who's interviewed and been offered several jobs lately but is still jobless, it doesn't hurt to go and get the interview practice! You can always decline and hope they keep you in mind in case something that's a better fit pops up. Finding child care was what killed it for me. I hope you make out better. Hope you feel better! What time is the interview?
trtlcrzy it was in the 40's here today I think. Definitely not even close to 72! I'm jealous! We went outside for a bit this morning.
H has mostly been fishing all weekend, with the exception of taking DS to the bday party yesterday. He has a friend here who stayed over last night and tonight as well. For Xmas I had given H a gift certificate for oysters. We've gotten them a few times before and they come overnight from the east coast. So H used that finally so he had several guy friends over for those tonight. He had ordered 200 oysters. I don't eat them. Bleh. So that was a busy evening and I was glad for everyone to leave and it to quiet down.
This week I am going to a work conference out of town, leaving Wednesday and coming home Friday. I'm kind of excited to get away for a bit and for DH to have to truly single parent both kids for more than a handful of hours.

I ended up not face timing with DD because I didn't want to risk upsetting her. DH called and sounded exhausted. He said he never appreciated how much I really do caring for DD and around the house.

Thanks everyone for the gentle nudges and good wishes.

I'm so ambivalent waiting my first need to travel for this reason. I so want MH to appreciate what I do more, but I don't want to miss time with my kids. Though after all the travel MH is doing for work, maybe I'm ready for a break ;-)
trtlcrzy no I went last weekend. I don't think I even bought too much. A few small Easter decorations, a couple frames for DD's latest photo session, and some new house plants. I had 3 and they've been slowly dying off since the fire we had, I think the smoke and the machine they ran in here afterward did some damage so I bought new plants and new soil to start over.
