Man I'm feeling overwhelmed. I dropped off my items for the consignment sale, so at least one thing off my list. I know I just need to get through the next 5 weeks, but these next two are going to be tough.
OMG guys I got the dates wrong and my family is coming tomorrow!!!
That's exciting! I mean I know you have been stressing and working hard to have your house ready, but the way I look at it, it's your family, they can help when they get there! Win win!
I just did so much but things look pretty great. I'm going to quickly clean the bathrooms in the morning and then I just have to vacuum. I was more concerned that I didn't have my calender right so I wouldn't have shown up at the airport!!
Laverne I have a few papers from the speech therapist that I can scan them in and send it to you if you like. Pm me if you're interested. They've really helped get w interested in trying to communicate more.
amberlie, boo to the mastitis. It is so draining. I had it once when I was home alone with C when H was out of town and it was awful. I hope you are feeling better.
packmomma, I'm sorry I laughed when I read that your family comes in today. I'm glad you figured it out before they were calling you from the airport! Enjoy your time with them!
Oh yeah the moment a microwave is used to unjust politely excuse yourself and say no thanks. I took my family to a couple BBQ places when they were here last time and it's one of the first places they want to go when they get here. 😂
layloo08 20 months. She weaned on her own when I was 7 months pregnant with DD2, presumably because my supply was crap.
Ah okay. I was 100% cool with him weaning himself but it's really not looking like he will haha. He gets so distraught when I say no.
I know you've probably done this but have you tried distraction or the "wait 5 minutes". Sometimes when I just don't feel like doing it in public I'll tell Walt give me 5 minutes and he'll calm down. Sometimes he forgets sometimes he doesn't but it could get him to not freak out as much when you say no other times. Also, a gentle way to wean if the "don't offer, don't refuse". The bf board has great advice to wean as well as ideas of how long you can break for and still come back to it (if you want). Eta:I see noname has already covered it ☺

It was such a shock when I was talking to my sister on the phone. But we got it together.
W just woke up which is hilarious because this morning I totally wanted him to wake up on time while I did last minute stuff (and h watched him) but alas it was not meant to be. Baby wearing ftw.
I came in today to two emails blaming me for two things that were not my fault. Awesome. Sorry my colleagues didn't provide correct instructions or follow up like they were supposed to. Not my problem.
mrspiatt, I hope you found someone to talk to. You can PM me any time if you need to chat.
@mrspanpan & joi922, ds did that to me last night too. We had salads for dinner with homemade chicken nuggets. He ate all of his salad (which included tomato, black olives, cheddar), chicken nuggets, hard boiled egg, some of dd's hard boiled egg, and then some of my chicken. Dude can eat.
amberlie, glad you got an rx, I hope it helps. But boo for mastitis.
@janetheconquerer, F U cough. How are you feeling today?
ampaints, you are a BAMF. You got this. 5 weeks will fly by.
Laverne, I was like this with ds. It took him a while to start talking, and then out of no where around 19 months he has really blossomed. Give it time. I know of so many kids that don't talk AT ALL until 2+. Is he responding/"answering" you when you tell him or ask him to do something?
Guys. H started his new hours yesterday and was home at the same time as me!! That is an entire hour 1/2 earlier!!! It was AMAZING. We were able to talk over some beers while I prepared dinner, he handled the kids, got pjs and school clothes laid out, filled the humidifiers, etc. It seriously was such a weight off my shoulders.
I also have a nice big chuck roast in the crock pot today for french dips later. I got a garlic ciabatta and some yummy provolone for the sandwiches and I am very excited.
DirecTV is coming later today. I am hoping they will help me move a few things when they show up since this morning was chaos and H and I didn't get it done.
Need to catch up, but I am spending my day with this girl and her randomly swollen eye.
-snip-
This happened to DS 2 weekends ago. It looked like he literally got punched in the eye. We think it was from the dryer sheets that I accidentally put in their laundry. Benedryl took it down a ton, and I rewashed everything and it went away completely in a day or so.
ETA, there was no discharge, crust, or red eye, so it def wasn't pink eye. Hope it goes down!

I haven't changed anything. I am wondering if she just has a crap ton of congestion up in her sinuses causing issues. I am debating a call to the doctor or see what happens today. Daycare won't take her until symptoms resolve because of she is a fall risk. 😒
