I've been reminiscing about music trips lately @betweenthelines. It was 5 years ago that H and I saw Gomez at the Brooklyn Bowl and the Cat Empire at the Bowery. We are also normally going to a music festival this time of year, but can't make it work this year and I'm seeing all my friends posting on Facebook.

We went to a show a few months ago and decided we were too old for that shit. Being all crammed in a tight space and getting pushed around when all I wanna do is drink, and not spill my beer, while listening to good music.
The Shins show is at the prospect park bandshell, so it's outside and you can sit on the grass and spread out more. More my speed. Plus it's our old stomping grounds.

Littlest is doing a lot better. I ended up not alternating- just because he kept falling asleep and then it was bedtime. I had a bit of a hard time getting him down for the night but once he was down he only woke up once, enough to give him another dose of Advil.
This morning he didn't feel feverish. My mom offered to watch him the rest of the week so DH and I could still work. She's said that he's a little hot but no fever. I figured this would be a whole week kind of bug but it seems to just fast acting.
Now hopefully, no one else gets sick. My mom asked if there was anything she could help with. I said she could Lysol everything.
runningmommy519 - Not sure if information just wasn't being passed on to me or not, but they are actually going to adjust my pay to make up for it. Otherwise it would be an easy choice to walk out the door.
I should edit that the adjustment meets half way, so still a pay cut. Dammit.
joi922 yesterday I put the radio on to help drown out the shrieking coming from both boys. It was on a oldies station and wild thang was on. Lol
taketheshot I love the tot times around here. I'm sure everyone that saw A's tantrum can relate. E does the curtain rod often when getting into the seat.

So this happened today. If you are wondering what the big deal is. E and me were the only ones home when this happened. It wasn't me who put him in the high chair.

Came into work that they are doing away with an incentive pay bonus that we have been getting for years. No pay raise to try and adjust, just a "Hey, you are just going to lose a few thousand dollars of pay for the year. Have a good day!" Just another reason to try and find a new job.
joi922,i feel so old as I type this, but so much of today's music just, isn't. I play a station that is so last century, but the kids don't complain.
At the Lumineers concert they covered a Tom Petty song. No one around us knew it (or Tom Petty by the sound of it). I shook my head at them all and sang my heart out smiling in nostalgia. I agree, some music today is lacking.
For chores tonight, I get to pick my chore: taxes (via the H&R Block software) or washing diapers. I'm choosing taxes, while MH will wash diapers. Hoping that wasn't a poor choice.
I feel this may have been a poor choice. But will scroll with fingers crossed 4 u.
Took A to Tot Time at a Rec Center 45 mins away. We have a friend that lives close to it and they met us there. It was super fun.. Lots of room and all of the toys/activities were aimed to 6yo and younger. When we had to leave though, A threw her biggest fit ever. Face down screaming and kicking on the floor.. Wouldn't put her coat on (it's 13 degrees F today- girl needed her coat on), kept weighing herself down when I tried to pick her up... I had to carry her out sideways as she was arched back and screaming all the way to the car. Then, on top of it all, she has been physically fighting us to get into her car seat, so of course today was no exception. I hate having to handle her so roughly.. I can only imagine what it looks like to an outsider. SIAB A, you made Mom carry you like a sack of potatoes? Nooooooooooo! Eta i tickle N when he refuses his car seat
After 45 mins of non stop crying I took my sweaty snot faced kid and rocked him and he was asleep within minutes.
I am still so pissed. I can't believe h broke my magical sleeping baby. Who btw, has been waking up tons again since h was in charge and h has been giving him milk motn. Are you fucking kidding me. I cut that shit out too.

Oh wait I read that backward. I revoke me last statement. Well, in part. Damn him for ruining night time but make him deal with it?
