Buying props for maternity photos...yay!! I'm going to try and hold out another 6 weeks or so, but I don't want to be huge and uncomfortable when I get them done. I'm finally starting to like how my pregnant body looks.
Sounds fun! What are you buying? Do you already have outfits?
Who is avoiding caffeine? I just keep thinking about things to get some conversations going.
I did for the first 20 weeks. But I usually drink a coffee or a latte every day. We have an espresso machine and it makes such good lattes... and also the whole no sleep thing. Caffeine helps me human.

Also, I forgot to bring this up after my appointment on Monday. I gained 5lbs in the past month. I feel like this is a lot. I have also been swelling so much. The night before we went to a charity event and walked and ate so much rich food. I was sooo swollen by the end of the night. All that to ask could some of that have been water retention or have I actually gained that much in a month?

I mostly avoided any caffeine in the first tri and now I am letting myself have it 2 days a week. On Tuesdays dd had gymnastics. So, I have an hour between bringing ds to school and gymnastics. So, I go get a frozen coffee before. It is so yummy!

Could be a bit of both. Did your doctor seem concerned? I gained 4 last month (also hadn't gone to the bathroom in 3 days... ). Water retention usually only counts for a pound(ish) though. I wouldn't be too worried about it unless your doctor is! I have a friend who gained 75lbs in her pregnancy.

He didn't mention it at all. I am already up 18 pounds. I was underweight to begin with, so I guess my body is doing what it needs to. And oh my goodness 75lbs? How did she do losing it afterwards?

I bought "Are You My Mother?" And some wooden letter blocks. I also have some of his shoes to use. I haven't decided on outfits yet but I'm pretty sure I need to use something I already have, since I have eleventy million maternity dresses. I'll wear jeans and a white tee for some of the pics, though.

Her daughter is 18 months and she is still working on losing it! But everyone is different with their pregnancies so as long as you feel healthy I really wouldn't worry!
Five pounds is normal at this point and if you were underweight expect to gain at least 40 by the end and still be super healthy. It is what your body needs.
I have one 10 oz cup of coffee every morning. I needs it to survive.

I have a cup of coffee in the morning. Last pregnancy they said I could have two! I would occasionally have a second in the afternoon. Now the recommendation is down to one... ðŸ˜

I gained more than that in the four weeks between appointments. I think something like 8 pounds? It's something like 1-4 pounds a week is normal for 2nd tri. You're doing just fine.

That makes me feel a lot better also! I weigh myself like a maniac, it's bad. I'm only up like 7lbs according to my OB but I was way over my normal weight when I got pregnant. So I'm counting it as more.

Could be both. Between 16 and 21 weeks I gained around 10 lb last pregnancy and no one was concerned. I plateaued a bit after that.

I have absolutely no clue how much I've gained. I've never once looked at the scale during my appointments and don't weigh myself at home. I eat a balanced diet, treat myself occasionally and don't really think about it much after that.
You know what's fun? When you come into work, check your voicemail, and receive a message from opposing counsel asking you to call him to discuss today's hearing at the court. The hearing that is not listed on your calendar whatsoever because you never received notice of said hearing.
Thanks ladies. I went the month before without gaining any so I freaked a little. I forgot to account for boobs growth and the baby gaining a good bit in the last couple of weeks.

The last time I went to the OB they told me I could weigh myself if I wanted. I refused. I know I've gained more with this pregnancy compared to my last, but I think most of that was in the very beginning when I was on progesterone.

If I was eating better I think I would worry about it less. I am eating a ton of really good for me food with candy and Cheetos on top. It's bad but I'm really struggling with food this time but i'm working on it...

We go to story time at the library on Thursdays. Ds loved going and I've brought dd since she was born and has always been great. Ds2, as with everything, is a total nightmare. He won't sit and listen. I have to chase him the whole time we are there. We stay for almost an hour. It is just miserable, but I do it for dd. I'm so happy that naps are being had right now!
I've gained about 20 pounds so far 😬 not proud of it, but it is what it is. I'll get my body back after she's born, and since she's supposed to be our last one, hopefully I can actually get into pretty good shape a year or two down the road. That would be nice! The sun is finally shining here this afternoon, it's about 60 degrees outside with a light breeze, and I'm getting nothing done but soaking up some rays, it feels soooooo good after a very long winter and wet spring!

bdblz he will be 2 next month. We go to the library close to our house which is small and only a handful of kids come. So, no one but me is bothered by his shenanigans. I cannot believe your ds almost knocked down the podium! You've got a crazy one too!
I'm watching that Lifetime special on Britney Spears and it's making me so sad for her early life. Also the actress who plays her is not the best. But I guess nobody could do her justice.
I had a dream last night that I had the baby at 26 weeks and he (we're having a girl) was totally normal. He was like three hours old and I realized i hadn't fed him yet and I had forgotten about skin to skin but I was going out for lunch with my family so I couldn't do it. I was worried about the alarms going off as we were walking to the restaurant. So weird.
