I'll start. See Randoms - scraped the side of my car on a concrete barrier this morning. This weekend- ds2 has solidified his crawling skills. Ds1 is finally starting to grasp the concept of pedaling a bike & we went to a great kids birthday on Sunday.
This weekend was fun. Friday I had to drive SD to her Mom's and then when I got back we went to dinner with my parent's for my Dad's Birthday earlier in the week. It was cute because Eliza kept asking where his cake and presents were. And when we left I whispered to her to tell him Happy Birthday so then she repeated exactly what she said in the video we sent him that day. "Happy Birthday. I love you! How old are you?"
Saturday Eliza had her 3 year photos and then we went to the grocery store. I picked up a few redbox movies and we watched one with the kids and one while they were sleeping.
Sunday DD1 sang in church and then we played Kerplunk. We ate lunch and during nap I went and saw Beauty and the Beast with a GF. When I got home it was so nice outside that we went to the park for a good hour. Some friends joined us too. Made pizza and had a picnic in the living room while we watched TV.
activebaby, sorry to hear about your car. I've done something similar. At least you didn't hit the other car and you're okay.
We had a pretty low key weekend. Saturday, I went to the dentist to get my crown fixed. Luckily, it is sealed so there's no internal damage being done. But they couldn't fix it because the assistant was out sick. So I have to go back in two weeks. It doesn't hurt because I had had a root canal but I'm dreading the bill. And I found out my dentist died suddenly. Otherwise, just the usual chores and errands.
Sunday, I went to a LLR party and spent too much and went to Whole Foods. We were able to get DS outside since it warmed up so we took him on a bike ride and played in the yard. DH let him sleep too late at naptime so he was a pain at bedtime.
Today is just a usual Monday. DH and I are trying to improve our eating habits because we both need to lose weight. We aren't going crazy but I'm really trying to be better about snacking so I'm drinking tea instead of eating my second breakfast.
Saturday was a nice relaxing day. I am working on a quilt for my SILs baby shower and got quite a bit done. DH took the kids to the childrens museum and I got a nap.
On Sunday we went to my parents house and put out more maple syrup taps. This week is finally supposed to be above freezing, so we should get some good sap. I'm hoping the snow goes away this week.
Let's see. Sat we ran errands and I got a pedicure. That was nice Then BIL came over for dinner. Blegh.
Sun I did a little shopping while H took DS1 to the dog park and my parents watched DS2. He was playing in the ball pit when I picked him up and he was laughing so hard. Then I took DS1 to the playground while H watched basketball with the little one. DS1 wanted me to chase him the whole time, including climbing the playground ladders over and over again. I am so sore today. Then BIL and SIL came over for dinner. It was OK but I had 3 beers to deal with their nonsense and am feeling it this morning.
Let's just say I'm so sick of basketball. And BIL/SIL.
We had dinner with friends Friday for st party's day. Saturday was date night at church but it wound up being a total let down and bust for what they planned. Sunday we did church. H took the big to Costco and did our taxes during nap. So I was with the baby most of the day and watched about 7 episodes of The People vs OJ. I am always like 5 years late to watching things but it's a good one. Lots of good talent.
Saturday we woke up to find someone knocked our mailbox down overnight. Then we went to our friends' baby's first birthday party. It was cute & fun. Ran around to get a new mailbox. Played outside for a while. Then I went to target & to see beauty & the beast with my sister.
Sunday we had a lazy morning at home. Went to the park, splash pad and lunch downtown. Even though we thought we did a good job exhausting DS he didn't want to nap when we got home so we watched Horton hears a who and he loved it.
DS woke up last night with a fever and still has a low fever this morning so I guess we're hanging at home today.
Friday we got the best corned beef tacos and I made Clara green mac and cheese! Saturday morning we had my OB appointment. When Clara heard T's heartbeat she busted out "that's baby Teddy!" Heart melted. I was pretty crampy after that. We did our grocery shopping and then home for nap and lunch. We pulled out all of the rest of the stuff we need for T and got it washed and wiped down. Sunday we just did laundry, installed the bases in the cars, hang out, started packing our hospital bag, and made a plan with my SIL on what we should happen for labor. I slept like crap last night and have the biggest headache today. 😞
DS has had a cough all week so we skipped swimming on Saturday morning and i took him out for a cupcake instead. I was hoping we could eat in the shop but they had a birthday party so we took them home. Then Saturday after nap he had a slight fever and was really coughing and just not himself. He woke up in the night complaining his ears hurt.
Sunday he seemed to be feeling better so I took him to Sugarbush at the local historic village and we rode the horse cart, ate maple candy, and sat around a campfire in the snow. He had a good time but still wasn't feeling great.
Took him to the doc this morning and no infection but a little inflammation. He's back at school now.
and daycare just emailed to say he has a fine rash over his back, ears and knees. I need to phone the doctor back when they open in 20 minutes because he didn't notice it
DH threw his back out, I have a cold, and had my first ever clogged milk duct over the weekend so it's a sad state of affairs in the lecky household. We did manage to go to the park yesterday, but that was the extent of our excitement for the weekend.
I'm finally getting #2's birthday party invites in the mail today.
Got lots of housework done in between herding the cats that are my children.
Went to mass on Sunday and arranged a date in June for DD2s christening which I'm really looking forward to. Not looking forward to the strain of DH's family and all their tantrums/demands around the arrangements.
Then we went to the beach which was very very windy. DD2 was too cold so thankfully I got to escape to the car while DH was stuck with DD1 and DS who wanted to play. Got back to the car and it was covered in salty water so needs a wash.
Today has sucked. Lost my car key and it costs £250 to replace. I wouldn't normally replace it as have the spare, but my new car arrives this week so when I hand the shit wagon back, they will be looking for 2 sets of keys. We can not afford to be throwing this kind of money away.
Got a nasty cold/low grade fever this weekend so I was out of commission. But DH took DS1 to music Saturday. He was sad it was the last class so that convinced me to sign him up for the Spring session.
Sunday we just hung around. DS2 needs to kick all the congestion he's got going on because I'm ready to sleep train this child. I think I keep getting sick because I'm not sleeping.
Friday DH and I took the day off with some of my closest friends and drank all day in Saint Paul, one of the best birthdays I've had. Except for my ex best friend showing up uninvited for a bit but I kept it together and didn't let her get to me. Saturday I went to MOA with my mom and DD. It was ungodly busy because of spring break but I got a pair of boots clearanced out and a new hair dryer for my birthday. By the time I got home at 9 pm I was overly exhausted. Sunday DD slept in 🙏🏼 then we hung around the house and went for a walk to the park.
Bringing DD into the doctor this afternoon to check out a nasty cough that she's had for over two weeks. No other symptoms but worried about bronchitis or something.
lulu, you mentioning going to the beach reminded me of the movie What We Did On Our Holiday. Have you seen it?
No I haven't but am going to investigate it!
Does it involve two grumpy adults, two wildlings and a screaming newborn, all freezing their tits off pretending to have fun, whilst battling arsehole seagulls, a face full of salt spray and gale force Scottish winds?

Billy Connolly, David Tennant, 3 kids on a Scottish beach and a viking funeral. It's really funny.

Saturday we did errands and dinner with the neighbor.
Sunday we went to mass and then played in the yard (read: dig in the dirt and roll around in the wet grass). Speed cleaned the house during nap time and then dinner at my parents.
It was not a relaxing weekend at all. I want another one, please 😊
On Saturday DH and I shopped for DS. It was so fun buying little boy clothes. I found a rock n play on consignment for $10 in new condition. I never had one with C but we have a 2 story and camp a lot so it seems like it'd be nice to have to conveniently move around.
We went on a date to dinner and ice cream after. It was a really great time and I'm thankful we made the time.
On Sunday I worked a bit in the morning. I came home in time to serve lunch and put DD to bed. I organized and cleaned like crazy and then our neighbors came over with their 4 girls for dinner.
Like Susan0utLoud my weekend was far from relaxing but I feel a little more prepared for DS. Oh and someone gave us a double stroller in near new condition! It's a Graco one that can buy a sit and stand or like 7 other configurations. I haven't cleaned it up or messed with it but I'm excited.
Saturday we went to a weekly playgroup in the morning. Came home and left DS with DH so I could go grocery shopping. We went out to dinner later that night.
Sunday, my mom and her boyfriend came to visit. We went to lunch with them. After DS napped we went to Michaels and that was it. Pretty low key but not too bad.
Friday was part of my weekend and went to the movies. It was fun and can't wait to go again.
Saturday I worked and my friends daughter watched Peyton and said she will do it again so that helps me out with babysitters on Saturdays.
Sunday we got up early and tried to go bowling at the cheap ace but they had a tournament and no room for us so we went to the McDonald's playland and I watched my kid refuse to go up the tree and the slide for nearly an hour. She was too scared and acted shy for the first time around some other kids. I convinced her to try at the end and then had to send some girl up to bring her down from the tunnel lol.
Came home and watched Frozen for the second time ever and had a Freezie and then just played and hung out for the day. Played Candy Land for the first time and she beat me too!
Doll15, We used our RNP so much for camping last summer. Worth every penny, especially if you got that good of a deal! We were also given a sit and stand stroller that has been a lifesaver with 2 kids.
