Anybody seen Beauty and the Beast yet? If not, run, don't walk, to your nearest theater. It was amazing. So many childhood feels. I love that they expanded on the already wonderful original to fix some plot holes and explain stuff rather than rip it apart and put it back together as something else entirely.
DD1 loved it and wants to go back and see it again, and we just might. And I have never paid to see a movie in theater twice that was not of the Harry Potter series.
Yes, I saw it yesterday with my daughter. Belle is her favourite Disney princess and she went in her Belle dress.
This was my favourite movie as a child, so I was excited for it too. They didn't really change anything, they just added some back-story, some new songs. and filled in the plot-holes as littleredfish mentions. I don't get to the movies often, so it was a nice treat.
I was worried Beauty and the Beast would be a little too much for my DD (she just turned 3). How old is everyone else's kiddos going? Was it scary for them at any point?

I have heard only good things about Beauty and the Beast. I really want to see it.
I have my first OB appointment this afternoon and I might bust out of my skin from anxiety before then. I'm scared that I've been sitting here for weeks with a MMC (like my first loss). Ugh I feel like I'm going throw up.
The wolf scenes also scared my daughter a little. The end also has that sad moment where you think all is lost, but then it turns out okay (typical Disney).
Also, there was an ad before the movie started and it was in 3D and a big dragon fly flew at her face and she screamed and whipped her head back. I'm not sure if 3D is great for little kids haha.

We saw B&B to this weekend. Phenomenal! Definitely my fave of the live action ones they've done so far. leviosa, my DD is not quite 3.5 yo. I've watched the cartoon a few times w her and she thought the wolves were a bit scary. The live version didn't bother her at all, but I think that's bc she was "prepared" having seen the cartoon first.

Good luck! That feeling of throwing up might just be a sign of a healthy pregnancy.
Weird question....we bought a new home and on the property inspection, the inspector said there were a lot of spiders in the basement. The place has been vacant for a few months. I'm phobic of spiders but also phobic of spraying chemicals in my home...haha.
Would you get a professional exterminator or would you send your husband in with a broom and vacuum cleaner?
Post by littleredfish on Mar 20, 2017 16:25:27 GMT -5
samelly, I would send an exterminator through but mainly because I am terrified of spiders and the only alternatives for me would be to not buy that house or burn it all down lol. I'd be terrified of MH just stirring them all up and angering them and releasing them into my home. Kill 'em dead.
I would get the exterminator out, however, they can only do so much for the spider problem. If you have a spider problem you have a big problem so maybe you can get the bugs under control and that will take care of the spiders.

samelly we have had spiders. Not a big issue but you could have the problem bc it's vacant. I'd personally spray inside the basement at the wall, to drive them out, then spray out side along all the walls of the house. To keep them out. We don't have any other bugs in our home, just spiders who like the warm and dry.
Also I am not against an exterminator if it's truly that bad.

samelly, I'd probably hire an exterminator asap (so that any gross chemicals have time to air out). We've found more environmentally friendly pest solutions work best for maintenance, but an infestation is best taken care of quickly and thoroughly. We lay a line of diatomaceous earth across our exterior doorways and windowsills in the spring and it keeps the bugs at bay Maybe you can look for more natural exterminators? I know some use hot steam and plant based products...

I took DD to see Beauty and the Beast. She was so scared when the wolves showed up. I had to cover her eyes. She also was scared of the beast at first. Overall she loved it and I'm glad I got to see it with her. It's her favorite Disney movie.

DD1 has been asking to see Beauty & the Beast every time a preview comes on so maybe we will do that this weekend. I know my husband and I really want to see it.

Sliced open my finger tonight. Damn it! Luckily dh reminded me to go to urgent care rather than the ER. Hopefully this will be faster and not as $ for the stitches

Yikes! I hope it heals fast. That is such a sensitive area.
