dashook have you has "the talk" with the nanny yet?
sophiegrace I also had a stupid fix this morning. A couple of our bathroom lights went out and the circuit wasn't tripped so I scheduled an electrician. Well it turns out those two lights are wired in the a nearby GFI outlet. The electrician literally pushed the reset button. Well that was an awesome $180 spent (2 hr minimum). I at least abused our time with other fix it problems.
Also, wtf to no other mom and baby classes!? Where are you again? Generally speaking of course.

I've seen Enchanted about a million times. I JUST realized that the model of the man Giselle dreams about looks the same as Patrick Dempsey's character at the ball at the end of the movie. So he was destined to be her one true love all along!!

Appointment went better than expected. Dr said, yes she's tiny and falling in percentiles, but she doesn't look skinny and is doing great otherwise. That coupled with Lillian being so tiny and DH and I being on the smaller side, she thinks it's just genetics. So, we are going to introduce solids in addition to breastfeeding to see if we can't get a few more calories in her. For now, Dr isn't worried. We'll see where we are at when she turns 6 months.
kleigh YAY for good naps! Did they just end the last 5 week leap?
I think so?! I'm not good at this stuff but they turn 20 weeks on Saturday. I think 19 weeks +- is a wonder week right? Maybe that was also part of their crappy sleep!
Yes. We spent the majority of the appointment talking about it and how worried I was feeling. She said Lilah looks really good and there's no indication that she's sick, starving, or anything like that. Developmentally she's actually ahead. I like the idea of giving her a few more calories a day inbetween breastfeeding sessions and I really think I need to put her scale away until next month and drink more wine. Lol.

So my phone literally just died on me. Like completely dead. H had this same issue a couple months ago and Google over-nighted him a new phone. I'm talking to customer support right now and hoping they'll do the same for me since it's been under a year. Ugh.. great timing.
Very quick check in! I just got back from gymnastics with DS and am now quickly nursing D so I can run out again to a noon Orangetheory class. My nanny is back today and it is so freeing!!
Have the best time! There's a gymnastic place here that starts whenever a baby is comfortably walking on their own. Do you recommend it? It is, no joke, the only mom and baby 'class' within an hour + of this area so I really want to try it out at the end of the year.
Yes, absolutely. He totally loves it and we all look forward to it every week. It's great for his balance, coordination, self-confidence, and learning to follow directions. Plus it helps him burn some energy. Totally worth the money.

I'm glad it went well! Â this is what kills me about pediatricians though. Â My dr said not to start solids until he had gained some more weight. Â She wanted him to get his calories from milk & not solids, which is just a filler. Â Augh! Â Why does there have to be so many variations out there?
I was thinking about you while we were there actually. How different the drs are. She was happy with Lilah nursing every 3-4 hours and made it clear the solids are in addition to that much breast milk (we're at roughly 24oz a day). I think it's also because I have a tiny 2 year old who grew in the same way. If that wasn't the case and we were not small people, I think her approach would be different.
Eta: Also, with the solids, she said to mix it with breastmilk or formula so there's extra calories in it. She didn't want her to nurse more than once every 3 hours so I guess instead of supplementing we're adding solids with more bm or formula. If that makes sense?
hangry I actually chickened out of "the talk" today, mainly because other stuff got in the way. But hopefully tomorrow when DS is napping! ClassyMrsA so glad you got some reassurance!
Orangetheory was awesome as usual! My plan was to take D out grocery shopping after her nap but it's been almost 3 hours now (?!?) and she still isn't up. I'm still going to go because I need stuff, but not excited about encountering rush hour traffic. I don't like the reminder that in the outside world, people still go to work lol
sophiegrace I'm thinking we were in the thick of J's leap last for the last week with the shitty sleep, Wonder Weeks is based on EDD and it says J is in week 19 with a stormy cloud picture...storm clouds a never good, especially when talking leaps
We just left the leap days ago. Not even exaggerating when I say this is a different baby. Everything is wonderful to her again.

In the thread of hair woes, I'm considering getting extensions. Not for length, but for thickness. I had them in for my wedding and they were kind of a PITA, but made feel so good about myself. I'm not sure it's smart to do something that'll require upkeep. Although, it will force me out of the house so maybe I should do it.

I'm so pissed off. Since I ordered my phone through Amazon instead of Google directly, I have to contact LG for service. They want me to send my phone back so they can try to service it first. They estimate TWO WEEKS. Wtf?? Who the hell can be without their cell phone for that long? And this is a known issue. It's all over the internet.

Bull!! I hate to admit it, but I couldn't do it. I'm not sure I would drive without my phone ever again if I could help it. Besides then entertainment factor it's become such a source of security. Two weeks?!! Most people don't even have house phones anymore in case of emergency.

Agreed, I'd be climbing the walls, although it'd probably be good for me.
From a practical standpoint, though, it doesn't feel safe to *not* have a phone of some sort. DH has a separate line in his car thru OnStar, but mine just syncs via Bluetooth, and we don't have a landline. I'd have to get a pre-paid one to tide me over, I think.

This might be one of those situations where I put the excuse of having an infant in the house to good use. goldenlove3 I'd demand that you keep getting escalated through customer service until you talk to someone with the capability to just send you a new phone. TWO WEEKS without a phone?!!!! Agghhh the more I think about it, the more it hurts.

sophiegrace We tried going up the chain and they stuck to the "it's not their policy" bullshit. I've read online that this everyone's experience. And apparently 2 weeks is being generous. This is a huge LG issue. It's all over the internet and I think there might even be a class action lawsuit with their other phone. I need to find out if they're adding my phone to it. I'm going to get my money back somehow.
waitwhat They straight up said they don't give loaners but I can ask my service provider. We didn't even try though since I bought the phone through Amazon.
This whole thing was frustrating. I could spend all day trying to talk to LG or AT&T or whoever else but I NEED a phone asap. The other issue is that this bug is in multiple LG phones and there's no telling if it'll just happen again in a few months with the replacement. So we ended up buying a new one from best buy that I'll be picking up this morning. I didn't really want to spend the money right now but I didn't have much choice.
