I don't understand why my baby sttn for like a week when he didn't feel good and now that he's on amoxicillin and feeling better he's back to his wake up to eat... maybe he felt too cruddy to wake up? Idk. My oldest was opposite- he woke up all night long when he was sick.
Just this week the baby is going crazy in the exersaucer. He's actually playing with the toys and turning them and talking and not just slobbering his hands.

becole, I'm convinced they do it to keep us from getting too comfortable. I hope your little guy feels better soon.
I've declared today Treat Yo Self Friday for me. MH is at work, the boys are at day care, and I'm taking a half day of work. I am going to get lunch when I leave, then head home for some sweet, sweet silence. I'll probably run over to the outlets too for a bit. I'm going to pick the boys up a little earlier than I normally would and take them to Moe's for dinner.

becole Sorry about the frequency wakeups. Hope the sleep is better over the weekend. smallpotato Good for you! Hope your day is awesome sauce.
We are an hour and a half into our drive home. DS is doing decent again so far, bless him. It helps one of our relatives gave is some kind of twirly toy that attachs to his car seat.
Tonight is gonna be rough though. DS has had his sleep messed up on this trip. We aren't gonna sleep train tonight cause he'll probably need some comfort after today. But back to it tomorrow. Hoping it's not to bad. He's been screaming a lot at night at my moms, wanting ro be fed a lot. Maybe a growth spurt?
becole- That is odd. Hopefully he'll start sleeping again soon.
smallpotato - Good for you - you deserve it! Enjoy!
I'm so bummed that I haven't gotten a call regarding the part time job I applied for a couple of weeks ago. I decided to call them this morning (it's a local fuel/heating company, so a small company) and when I explained why I was calling, the woman kind of chuckled as she said the position hadn't been filled yet. She mumbled something about it always being good to hear from the applicants and had me leave a voicemail for a guy who I assume is the hiring manager. I was proud of the message I left; I didn't garble my way through it and I think I sounded upbeat and intelligent versus the idiot I usually sound like when leaving voicemail messages. Haha. Please, please call me. (Of course, I'm still wondering why she chuckled and mumbled stuff when I told her I was calling to find out if the position had been filled. WTF?)

One of these days I'll remember to give G his vitamin D drops. Also, G has been using the exersaucer at day care. When I picked him up on Monday, he was staring intently at one of the toys and trying to reach it. I don't think he's quite tall enough to bounce yet. We'll have to bring ours up from the basement soon for him.

smallpotato Enjoy, you definitely deserve it! macaronmama Hope DS gets back on schedule easily for you. jwinct Hope you hear back soon about the job. That is a strange reaction by that lady...
Last night was horrendous, DS started getting sick yesterday, snot, coughing, mucousy puke (only once) so he has been super cranky. Hope it's short lived. Shouldn't complain though since we haven't dealt with the sicknesses that most other people have dealt with this winter.
jwinct I hope you hear about the job soon. macaronmama Sorry about the adjustment for your H. I hope it won't be too bad on you guys. smallpotato I love Treat Yourself Friday It should be a thing. becole I hope your LO starts STTN again soon.
Lil P is still sleeping in the bouncer all night. I might try to sleep her in the crib tonight. Right now it is a drop zone for all stuff baby and laundry. She hasn't STTN yet and still wakes to eat a couple times a night. We tried sleep training Big P, but gave up after the first 10 mins or so because she would cry until she threw up. I don't know what I'm going to do with Lil P.

Today is my day off. We are driving 6 hours to my SIL house for my niece's joint bday party. They will be 2 and 4. V is very excited. We will see how the drive goes. We can do a 3 hour drive relatively easily but I'm a little afraid of this drive. And of it screwing with sleep habits for both kids. I'm pretty sure we are going to arrive at our destination at 9pm and both kids will have slept enough in the car to be wide awake.
I'm packing up and going to catch up on a little work while H finished up at work this am. I'm also waiting for Infiniti to give my car back. I dropped it off to be serviced yesterday at 730am and they have had it ever since. I have a loaner car but I left my car seats bc I didn't realize this was going to be overnight. I had to drop the kids off in H's car this am and then go swap cars with him so I could take the dogs to the boarder. H does not allow the dogs to soil his vehicle with their doggy presence.
Just home from playgroup. It's been a miserable morning with snow turning to rain. Hopefully both kids will nap at the same time so I can get one in too.
I've done some cleaning up around the house for dd1s friend party tomorrow. We did a quick grocery store trip. Dd1 did not nap yesterday which hasn't happened in a long time. Hoping it was a fluke and she does today. After a couple rough days and nights of sleep training, Dd2 slept 8-545 with one quick cryout at 11 that we didn't need to go in for. She had trouble with her morning nap though, and I gave in and gave her the binky. It's so hard doing it alone with a toddler home too. We're having McDonald's for lunch. More party prep this afternoon.
We had a fun morning, they open up the gymnastics place here for free play twice a week. My three year old loved it and O took a nice nap in the carrier.
Just this week the baby is going crazy in the exersaucer. He's actually playing with the toys and turning them and talking and not just slobbering his hands.
I still haven't found one at a thrift store dang it. Do not want to spend $100 on one.

Have you checked craigslist or local FB yard sale pages? I bought a nice one from someone local for $20.
fem - Just for hahas I looked on Craigslist and there are several very nice ones for sale nearby, for $20-$30. Keep looking - I'm sure you'll find one!
We had a fun morning at the trampoline place. After that, we grabbed Dunks and went home. I actually got a ton of cleaning done so I feel accomplished! DD took an awesome nap this morning in her crib, but has been fighting it all afternoon. She finally just fell asleep while eating, so now I'm afraid to move. I don't want to wake her, but there is some more stuff I want to get done while both kids are sleeping.
I think that's very normal for this age. Have you googled any sleep articles or books? I thought I read that Babies consolidate sleep when their brains are capable of it - that happens at different times for different babies. Just like kids drop to two naps and then one nap at different ages- there's a wide range of normal.
