I have one for baby's things (diapers, onesies, swaddle blankets, etc) and one for myself, but not sure if I should pack H his own bag or try and shove a change of clothes for him into my bag.
This is crazy to me that we are even at this stage to be talking about it. I think when I hit 30 weeks I'm going to actually pack the bag. But holy cow it's so soon!!
I'm planning to be mostly packed by 30 weeks. I was caught off guard last time and didn't bring anything with me but my phone and purse

We did separate and will again, but hopefully your H is on top of it and not like my H. I had to wait for him to pack his crap before we could leave for the hospital, as in I even took all my crap to the car myself and was screaming at him from the car to hurry up! One of the first things he said when I told him I was pregnant this time was...I promise to have my bag packed 😂
We'll each have one bag, akraus2015. Plus my pillow; the boppy; etc. but those things will probably stay in the car until I'm moved to a recovery room.
This thread makes me think about the crazy prebaby blog woman. She had her daughter around the time I had my DD, and her hospital packing list included an air mattress for her husband to sleep on. 🤣 Does anyone else remember her ?!

DH just stuck his stuff in my suitcase. He only brought a few pair of boxers, pj pants and two shirts. Maybe a pair of socks? He doesn't need much.
ETA we just used the diaper bag for DS's stuff so we just had the two bags + my purse. DH also had his work bag because he did some work from the hospital.

We had to install the car seat base in DH's car before we left for the hospital. I did mine about a month earlier and hurt my back in the process so he was supposed to do his car. Luckily we had tons of time.

I think I had a huge list last time and barely used anything. Nursing tanks and big comfy sweatpants were a must. The hospital had everything I needed for recovery (pads, peri bottle, mesh underwear, etc) and diapers/blankets for baby. I think I used my boppy last time so I will bring it again. And an outfit or two for baby. Definitely needed a hairbrush and hair ties and snacks. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of useful stuff..
I don't think we'll pack H a separate bag. He can throw a change of comfy clothes in my bag, but we live less than 5 minutes from the hospital I'll deliver at, so I assume he'll run home to shower, etc.
xxjen015 to me, onesies are better because you'll be changing the diaper a billion times a day! My ds at least was a very prevalent pooper. Onesies and wrapped in swaddle blankets works great.
