I'm pretty sure my UTI has moved to my kidneys... I'm suddenly dealing with the world's worst back pain.
$10 says I get a 3rd round of antibiotics. And if that happens at ANY point in this pregnancy (3rd round of abx) it means I automatically get the IV of the good stuff during labor for GBS 🙄🙄🙄
why would they automatically jump to iv antibiotics in labor? That's forever from now....
duskymonkey - DH was carrying DS down a set of stairs and slipped, DH's knee landed on DS's leg and fractured it.
Finally pulled out the doppler last night. My boss wants us to turn in our goals for the year and since I'll have 3 less months to get things done, I've decided to come clean at work. Wanted to hear baby's heartbeat before giving the news though, for some reassurance that things were still cooking in there. Only took me about 5 minutes to find it and it was really reassuring to hear.
i told the girl I nanny for a week or so ago about the baby. She asked me yesterday how long of a maternity leave I was planning. Part of me wanted to look at her and say," seriously? I have 30 more weeks to get that figured out. Sheesh. " but the reality of a second pregnancy is, I have no idea of anything. Ds was severe preeclampsia. I have no idea what will happen this time around. I could have zero complications. But I could also have a preemie. I don't know. And that's what I told her. I imagined 6-8wks. But who know how things will go. I could have the baby super early. Or I could have the baby at normal time. I just don't know.
Yes, there are certainly lots of reasons that could lead to a longer leave, if complications arise. With my first, everything went pretty smoothly and I ended up taking 12 weeks. I only got approved for short term disability pay for 6 weeks, so the second 6 weeks I had to take mostly unpaid (used a few hours vacation time each week just to have a little pay.)
I think I'll plan on the "max" 12 weeks of leave again this time around as well. Just for my goals for the year, since they are done from Jan 1 to Dec 31, I know I'll have at least over 2 months I won't be there, or longer if baby comes earlier.

Oh that sucks. Did they not test your urine for abx resistance? When I had mine years ago, they tested it and determined that my strain was resistant so they called me in a different one like 2 days later.

I forgot my breakfast at home this morning so I went downstairs to the bakery in my office building. I got a boston creme croissant muffin - figured I'd try it. OMG it's the best thing ever. Where has this been all my life?? I wish I got two.

Hugs, lady. I'm right here too. I feel like it's way too early to plan anything, but mostly, after my experience with my son, how could I possibly presume to plan anything?

What is this and how do I get one!?!? Sounds yummy!
It is more of a croissant shaped like a muffin with cream in the middle so it was really light and just delicious. It seriously made my day. The bakery is called Paris Baguette. Its a small chain that's usually located in asian communities.
Toddler gave me her snotty cold and it's knocked me on my pregnant ass. I was thinking "oh, I should heat up some soup and really take care of myself for lunch." That was too much work, so I had 2 bowls of cereal and some cheese slices. Outstanding.
That triple double crunch wrap commercial I keep seeing makes me really want a triple double crunch wrap. But I know I'll regret it.
My mind really wants a triple double crunch wrap but my tummy is saying hell no!
Btw, taco bell website says it's 700 calories.
why would you tell me how many calories are in it? That's just rude. (Jk sorta. But seriously. I didn't need to know. It is yummy and I want to eat it. )

Add me to the attending a bachelorette party while pregnant group. Purchased plane ticket and booked hotel last week, so it's happening! We're going to Veas in April, and I'll only be 16 weeks. I'm bummed that I'll have to do Vegas sober, but it should still be a fun experience! Plus, think of how much money I'll be saving not buying drinks!

A friend and I were recently discussing how expensive Vegas is and she said it is common for a mixed drink to be $20/each there. For ONE drink. You will save all the money and still get to see Vegas. Go you!

Wow, that's crazy expensive! We're staying at the Stratosphere on the strip, so I'm pretty excited to see everything.

The toddler has decided to start calling me "big mommy." Very casual-like and no explanation. MH thinks it is hilarious. I'm scared for what is going to come out of his little mouth over the next couple months. Very scared.

I had my NT scan yesterday and they bumped up my due date. 10/3 changed to 9/25. I'm feeling some kind of way about it. Maybe because it changes the month? I don't know. DD was born at 41+1, so I should know better than to be fixated on an EDD anyway, right?
