river you're going to be great. You won't know any different than twins so it'll potentially be even easier than doing it as a STM? Maybe? Also. Your post reminded me DH and I should probably settle on names. 😳I truthfully forget that they need more than a first name. Like we need to figure out how to spell said first names. And then they need middle names.
@wineandcupcakes, I really only got dinner reincorporated into our routine a few months ago... right around their 15 month appointment. New PJs were the start of our bedtime routine... because I did the same thing a couple times
Haha so in a year I should have dinner back in rotation? Noted!
However, I'm very motivated to make cookies right now. From a box, not scratch, but still.
Ha! We were very fortunate- friends set up a meal train and everyone was so concerned that we would never get out... I didn't even consider cooking until they were 3m old. And then it was a lot of convenience stuff. MH and I aren't terribly picky, so frozen pizza was a Friday night standard. If I made tacos, they lasted 2 dinners, takeout twice a week... We ate at 8pm or later most nights. You do what it takes to get through it, but I applaud your ambition!
You guys. I forgot to tell you. I did it. I got waxed.
But how was it??
It was...not the worst thing I've ever experienced. Definitely hurt. Across the front mostly. I also deal with my pain in a grin and bear it internally sort of way but she kept trying to distract me with conversation so I was trying to explain what my husband does for work while being slathered in a hot wax. Not my cup of tea. I also kept trying to get her to tell me how many more strips were left and she wouldn't tell me! I need a countdown woman! Oddly the "inner backside" was the easiest part. I self consciously warned of probable swelling hemorrhoids, general ugliness (if a bum hole can ever *not* be ugly) and she casually stated that she's 'seen some things'. So that made me chuckle. Lastly, the amount that I sweated from nerves/anxiety was ABSURD. I have a picture of the bed liner just soaked. I'll spare you. But it's amusing to say the least. Overall, the verdict is that if you're considering it, just get 'er done. I'm glad I did and it's over.

I'm just streaking through here to tell all your POMs that I'm going to my twin mom retreat tonight. Give me all the WINE, FOOD, HOT TUB AND ADULT CONVERSATION!!!!!!!
And yes, at 4.5 months I feel READY for a night away.
Have fun for all of us requiressnacks! I'm just hoping we can go out to dinner tomorrow night with another couple (sans kids). We haven't done anything since Christmas!
