Ugh... what an awful night! Lillian didn't go to bed until after 11. Lilah woke up around 2 when the storm rolled in and then was up crying every hour until about 5. Lillian woke up at 7:15 so I'm up. I was also awake for a while around 4 with stomach pains. I still feel a bit off, but not sick anymore.
Lillian has dance class this morning and then I need to go to the store to get a few things. Otherwise, I'm expecting to stay home and take it easy. DH is getting a ride home to avoid the late Lillian nap. If we keep her up, she has gone to bed at like 7 or 7:30 in the past.

Hi.. I'm at work. I was doing pretty good all morning until we put C in his car seat then I lost it. Then H started crying because I was crying so that was fun. I'm doing ok now though. Our morning routine went fine but we'll see how long that lasts. I can't see H waking up at 5 everyday for very long lol.
I've spent my first couple hours unpacking my desk (will rant about this later) and checking email. I have over 1000 to go through. I made it through 20 before I got bored and came here.
Hugs goldenlove3 I hope your first day back is miraculously awesome after this morning and after having to clean your desk and go through emails (the worst!!).
danib I'm always worse after laying down at night. Is H still sleeping on your chest and can you lay propped up? Also, any update on the weather for YHs return? Maybe that storm took a turn ?!?!
ClassyMrsA I'm sorry for the rough night! We got hit with a loss of power here and it really screwed the first half of our night up.
We lost power for some unknown reason. H (who had been sleeping in one of the guest bedrooms) is terrified of the dark. He won't admit it but he is. And in this guest bedroom one of the Windows happens to be right above our adjoining garage and he's always afraid someone is going to come through the window. Lol.
So when we lost power, H had still been downstairs with AB and he came running upstairs into the master where AV had just fallen asleep and was like "what the hell was that". I said we lost power. He's like, ok I think we're gonna sleep in here with you guys lol. It was 8:00. Guy doesn't go to bed before 11 any other night.
Their stay lasted about 2 hours because AV and AB kept waking each other up with their grunts and breathing and moans and cries.

kleigh that is adorable. I'm scared of the dark too, but have no problem admitting it. I have no idea why and know it's irrational, but it's a fear that I can feel into my bones. So strange and annoying.
Also not helped by my H, the comedian, who asked me if I happened to notice the boarded up well in our woods while opening our ground floor bedroom windows last night. Fucker.
ETA: I missed that last paragraph the first time I read it. NOT adorable if it then causes awake babies. I'm sorry.
danib can you go walk around a mall or other big store? Walmart or target? I forget what you have there.
So I have cleaners here for the first time ever. I'm very excited. E is actually napping in the crib so we'll see how long she sleeps through them. So far they are very quiet.
So what do people say I should tell my friends about coming this weekend? They have flights booked or else I would just say let's reschedule. I feel fine right now and could definitely host, but don't know if that's weird. My friend is a dentist and went to half medical school so I'll leave it up to her I guess. I'm assuming they both had chicken pox.
waitwhat Thank God she slept through the storm. I have no clue why she wouldn't go to sleep last night. I'd be more understanding if it had been stormy, but no. Just random toddler crap.
kleigh lol @ your H. But I am that person here. When the power goes out, it freaks me out. And I never let DH leave the windows open when it's nice out because I'm afraid someone will come in theough them. Super paranoid over here. Lol.

hangry I would just let them know. I haven't met anyone our age range who didn't have chicken pox, but if they had a super mild case and their titers are low they can definitely get it again.
Enjoy your cleaners! I don't know how many times I've said that I would hire someone and still haven't, but I really want to!
sophiegrace Still adorable 😁 Even despite the waking babies. As far as afraid of the dark, I used to be afraid before we tore down our house bc our bedroom was on the main floor and that freaked me out but now being upstairs I feel a little better. Plus the house across the street from us is even nicer than ours so I always tell myself that they'd be targeted first - that's so mean but it helps me sleep lol.
hangry I forget, do they have kids? If not they prob won't care as much. I'd let them know but expect they'll continue with the plans.
hangry and goldenlove3 (I know you're at work, respond whenever!) and anyone else who has a cleaner.. H wants to get one and trust me I'm all aboard but I feel like I don't even know what to ask for or look for. Also, what kind of cleaning do you do yourself before they get there?

kleigh and ClassyMrsA there may or may not be multiple forms of protection in and next to my nightstand. The baseball bat goes particularly well with my bedroom decor.
waitwhat how did you like your playbox this month?
it was ok! I loved February's box (I didn't sign up in time to get it) so I think March was a little bit of a let down. I got a lipstick that I'll probably never wear because it's almost hot pink. But I'm gonna give it another couple months. How about you?
So I didn't realize there were multiple boxes until this month. I thought everyone got the same five samples until I went to buy one of the items from my box and a ton of items showed up. I saw that lipstick and cringed. My box was really good this time. I'd been wanting to get a highlighter or something like it to make me look less day of the dead-like and I got four of them.

kleigh I found our cleaning company through subdivision recommendations. I saw them mentioned a few times and their quote came back decent (and they actually responded to my quote request!). I asked for a deep cleaning but really it's what they do anyway. Before they come, I mostly clean up clutter. Get things off the floors and counters, etc.
kleigh for a cleaner, I went with someone my neighbor works for. They were having a spring cleaning special so I jumped on it. But i also had 2 local friends highly recommend their cleaners. If I choose to have a biweekly service I will probably ask for their names and rates to compare. I would start by asking family and friends if they recommend anyone.
I picked up all our crap, or made neat piles. They are doing walls and baseboards and corners and dusting and couches and scrubbing tubs/sinks etc.
I'll let you know my impression after they're through.

did you get the Watts up highliter? I freaking love that. I didn't get it and was disappointed when I saw a lot of others did! I got it when I did Ipsy or birchbox. About the multiple boxes.. I'm a freak. I go on IG and searched the sephora play box tag and see what others got. Then got jealous when I saw the other awesome goodies. I'm chalking it up to the fact I joined late so they gave me the leftover crap. Haha.
YES! Love it. It's exactly what I was looking for. Also the glam glow highlighting moisturizer was amazing for when I didn't wear makeup this last weekend and the Bobbi Brown eye pencil has me considering other shades along with what I got. I can't remember what else I got, but I haven't had three loves from one box in awhile. As long as I get at least one thing I like I consider it a success. Because LBR, the last thing I need is a reason to buy even more from Sephora.
Ohh H's eyes are still goopy. I thought it was a blocked tear duct at first (because he had one at birth), but now it's both eyes. No sign of pink eye or anything. Juat constant goop...
C had goopy eyes for a few days and it turned out the cold she had went into her eyes and caused an infection. Lovely. It also went into her ears. They put her on an antibiotic that took care of it.
Busy day yesterday so I never made it here. My mom and I did some shopping while B was at school, we had the home inspection yesterday afternoon (so had to tidy up and clear out) and then B had his first soccer practice, which was adorable.
Soooo we're having a lazy day today. C had some cereal mixed with banana and seemed to enjoy it more today than our attempts last week. I'm catching up on laundry and taking B for a haircut later on.
