ClassyMrsA I hope Lillian is feeling better and you guys had an okay night. Poor thing!
LizInFL I think Wegmans originated in Rochester so you may well have been in the flagship store! Unsurprising that it would be kinda old and unimpressive. The new ones are amazing!
waitwhat that's exciting that YH is coming around on #3! I know what you mean about feeling like the baby is a middle child; that's how I feel about D too. I have no idea when we will TTC again. Originally we were planning to wait til she is closer to 18 months to avoid 2u2 again, but idk. I should probably get my mind right about my body image before I have more kids.
jubilantsquirrel that house is gorgeous! But no thank you to the price tag. Indy is nice but you'd have to live around Colts fans.
jubilantsquirrel That house is beautiful! I'm with waitwhat on the backsplash though. Also, not sure what I'd do with that closet! But I guess if I could afford a $1.2 million house, I'd have more things to fill it with?
@sarahwithanh That is one gorgeous baby!! I should get a bow like that for Lilah. I'm totally a girly girl mom.
Thanks danib. It is upsetting to see. She clearly doesn't feel good. It's so sad. Also, HELL NO to the "It" trailer. DH watched it and I closed my eyes and covered my ears. I'm 31 and I can't watch the trailer! Wtf to YouTube playing it on a kids channel.
waitwhat I'm pretty sure that next year, dh will still be a no. I am not sure how I'll feel. I'm not entirely as opposed to 3 as I was. Some days I feel like we're complete. Some days I could see a 3rd. DH wants to be done very soon so we'd have a similar age gap if we did go for 3.
kleigh Lilah loves facing forward, too. I flipped her around once she had good head control (2 months maybe). Shopping can actually be fun once they happily sit in the cart/enjoy facing out. Before I had my mom's group, I took Lillian shopping all the time during her "happy to sit" phase and I actually enjoyed the weekly grocery shopping. It was our way to get out of the house.
Oh and +1 to not being able to watch the trailer for It. I read the book years and years ago and it scared the bejeezus out of me. danib I would be furious if that thing came on while DS was watching something!
Our night went better than expected. Lillian was tired and had about an hour puke free so we put her down at 11 in our room (Lilah slept with us and Lillian had the pnp). She woke up once crying and wanting water at 2:30. Back to sleep, no puking. Woke up at 7:20. So far she's been ok. She seems like she still isn't feeling great, but she's sipping juice and has had a tiny bit of bland foods. I've got everything crossed that the puking part is over and she'll be just fine by tonight.
My everything hurts today. We're in a tornado and flash flood watch until the middle of the afternoon. It's all dark and gloomy out right now. I'm guessing today will be an at home day so housework it is! No backsplash this weekend. Too much stuff and too tired. Next weekend looks promising though. We'll see about going to my dad's house tonight for dinner. If Lillian stays puke free, we'll go I think.
It's supposed to be sunny and 60 today so we will most definitely be out and about. I think a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond and Home Goods is in order. Also our friends are having a tag sale and told us to come by so we'll stop by there (they live a stones throw from Hoe Goods).
Just had to stop and giggle at this real quick 😂
I almost never get sick. I made it through this entire awful winter where everyone I knew had plague after plague, and all I suffered was a mild cold that lasted a day and a half. I have no idea where this current garbage came from but my throat is so sore and swollen that I can barely talk, and my sinuses are super painful.
And of course H is talking about having to go into work today. This is because he's leaving early tomorrow to go to the Red Sox home opener. Glad I know where his priorities lie.

Re: crawling = purposeful forward movement. Point A to a destination. Belly or hands and knees.
Re: chips ahoy = meh. Oreos on the other hand....
Re: It trailer. No thank you. So interesting, a part of it was filmed around the corner from me. So H watched the trailer to see if he recognized anything. He was traumatized. Re: surprise 3rd kids. Yay! Babies make me happy!
ClassyMrsA Oh no I'm sorry Lillian is sick but yay for no puke!
dashook Ugh I'm sorry. Hopefully whatever you have goes away quickly.
danib I'm so glad you caught the It ad before he saw it. I hate when they play scary movie ads for ME so I can't imagine what a kid would do. They showed the trailer on our morning news the other day and it was terrifying. No thank you.

C decided to STTN for the first time all week! I took care of bedtime and wakeup yesterday forgetting that H was going golfing this morning so I didn't think I'd get to sleep at all this weekend. Luckily it seems like C isn't mad at mommy anymore and let me sleep in.
Today is my doggy's 7th birthday. I'm trying to spoil her in between taking care of C. I bought her some fancy dog treats and a mini birthday cake from a dog bakery so I'm excited to give that to her. It's a nice day out so maybe a family walk later.
I can't get over how MH manages to prove his uselessness in new ways every week.
Tl;dr I'm sick but can't rest because he is incapable of dealing with a baby for even an hour.
I put D down for a nap at 1:45 and went into the bedroom to lay down myself since DS had also just gone down and I feel like dogshit. It took me a while to get comfortable because my sinuses hurt so badly. The second I finally did find a position and start to drift off, I heard D wake. It had been no more than 20 minutes.
I went in the nursery and tried giving her the paci but no dice. DH then said he would take her. I suggested several different things he could try with her to either get her back to sleep or just keep her happy for a bit.
I managed to fall back asleep for a little while. But finally I had to get up when I was awoken by a loud bang followed by the sound of him talking angrily (almost shouting) at the screaming baby. Like wtf???
I took her away from him, laid her in bed with me to nurse to sleep, and now she's peacefully slumbering and I am wide awake because I can't get comfortable with her here and my sinuses are pounding in pain and I keep having to sneeze but don't want to breathe on her.
H got all upset when I took her, like "the whole reason I had her was so you could rest!" Really? How do you think that yelling and punching the wall is going to allow me to rest? Moreover, how is that behavior supposed to help D calm down and sleep? Why do I have to do everything?
He's damn lucky his antics didn't wake up DS because then there would have actually been murderin.'
We've been so busy hosting our friends this weekend but were having a lot of fun! This is a friend if mine from home who I've known since we were 10 but I haven't lived at home since high school. So H hasn't spent a lot if time with her or her H but we, and especially the guys, are getting along great! It makes me so happy.
I caved and took a Benadryl. I really need sleep to try to kick this thing.
FX D continues her normal, fabulous sleep patterns tonight so I won't have to nurse her again until morning. I know the risks are low but I hate taking any kind of medication ever, especially while BF 😕
@jubilantsqirrel, I'd go back to sea for that house! (I'd have to work a full 365 days straight but so worth it!) dashook, I loved It! Can't do scary movies anymore though!?! Also, no home opener tix, but baby is ready for baseball! I'm sorry yh is struggling and you're sick! Feel better soon.
