Bbq country style ribs, homemade macaroni and cheese and garlic green beans. I'm nervous/feeling weird about tomorrow (turning 40) when I feel uncomfortable about something I cook.

DS1 has decided this is the week he is going to be a pita going to bed. Why. It's almost like he needs a later bedtime or a shorter nap. Is anyone letting their kid nap but waking them up?
I'm done. H has >102 degree fever and has been in bed moaning and needing things since we got home. I have an infant who is also sick, feverish, and probably has an EI. He has also been screaming all night. My only saving grace is DS1 who is happy watching youtube. I feel bad and am worried for my H. But JFC. He asked me if I could MacGyver a catheter. Nope. I said if you cannot make it to the bathroom then you need to go to the hospital. That shut him up. He hates Drs.

We haven't but I think we might start. At school they only have an hour and a half for nap but at home she'll sleep 2 hours or more sometimes. Those days she takes forever to fall asleep unless she happen to do some hard playing.

I have always been on team wake up if a nap is too long.
I had to do it yesterday after 2 hours. She was cranky for a couple of minutes but told her her drink was downstairs and she perked up. Good thing I did wake her because she wasn't that tired for bed and wanted to stay up. Would have been so much later if she had kept sleeping.
Ds1 and ds2 had pictures together at daycare. The photos were a bit odd and they dressed them up in some vests and hats. Well one photo ds1 was holding a big number 3. I asked the photographer why - he told me because ds told him he was 3. Way to go guy - good job taking the word of a 2 year old. Of course I bought the photos because I'm a total pushover for kid photos.

microworm ugh! I hope you feel better soon - and can get some sleep tonight!
Also, I really just cannot imagine ever thinking is a catheter would be preferable to dragging myself to the bathroom. So much nope. Sorry, but Mr Worm - you're weird! Maybe feverish hallucinations?

We have this too with ds. He is not going to sleep for like an hour after being put to bed. I just asked Dh yesterday about cutting his nap time to see if it helped bedtime. We were thinking of trying it but nervous that it would eff up bedtime more because he'd be overtired.
Got the bill for dd's er visit. I was expecting much more. It was only $784.
Isn't it a sad state of affairs when an $800 bill is actually good news when compared to what you expect?
That's exactly what Dh said. So sad.
Get it together, America. It feels like we will never catch up on these medical bills. We are paying them at the same rate they're coming in. And we're paying everything we can on them. Most days I have anxiety about it. 😌
In college basketball news, Georgetown recently fired their head coach who is the son of the head coach they just dedicated the new gym to. And hired alum Patrick Ewing.

Did I mention I'm sick too? Happy Monday.
Get better, Worm Family! The flu has hit hard this year.

That's awkward.
I know, right? But people had been calling for him to be fired for years now...
