Not good. Baby was up all night. He is tired but can't sleep. Currently screaming his head off. H's fever went down overnight but is still pretty sick. I'm lucky if I got 2 hours of sleep. But I'm going to work. Have a big meeting today. My parents are taking the baby to the Dr. I want to die.

Im still sick too.
I'm just really sorry, wish we lived closer. Good luck
Isn't it a sad state of affairs when an $800 bill is actually good news when compared to what you expect?
That's exactly what Dh said. So sad.
Get it together, America. It feels like we will never catch up on these medical bills. We are paying them at the same rate they're coming in. And we're paying everything we can on them. Most days I have anxiety about it. 😌
I'm sure you already have but you can always speak to the hospitals financial assistance division- show them your total medical bills right now and ask for a discount and a low payment plan. They may even waive a majority since its based on income and your OoP expenses. Worth a shot.
DS1 has decided this is the week he is going to be a pita going to bed. Why. It's almost like he needs a later bedtime or a shorter nap. Is anyone letting their kid nap but waking them up?
We wake up DS on the weekends by 3:30 if he doesn't wake up on his own.
ETA DS didn't go to sleep until 9pm last night, an hour and a half after we put him down. And I know DC wakes them up from nap at 2pm so I really don't know what the answer is.
Sorry for all of the sickness microworm ! Sounds like you need a day off...
Totally would have taken today off but H is home. And sick. FFTC being at work is much better than dealing with a sick man, even with how shitty I feel.

DD has been a pita at bedtime as well. It's fix this, I need new diaper (she doesn't), I'm scared, I like you, two nights ago I think she got up 10 times in 10 minutes. How long is his naps? DD only averages 1-1 1/2 hrs. I think it's just a really annoying stage.
DS is the same. Whenever we tell him it's time to get ready for bed, it's I'm hungry, I want milk, I need to clean this up. Then when we put him down, it's too dark, I want to sit, come up, another kiss, etc. I think it's just the age.
DS is clearly the freak here but on the weekends he takes 2.5 hour naps and often doesn't wake up until 4. He goes to bed at 8 no problem. I'll be really sad when he stops napping

I agree. You need a day off when DH is at work and both kids are at DC so you can actually relax.

DS is still like this some of the time. Some days he takes 3 hour naps until 3:30 and goes down at 7:30 no problem. But others are like yesterday and they are getting more and more frequent. I really love his 3 hour naps on the weekends!

long weekend naps are the best! I feel like i actually get time to relax and get some stuff done. At daycare he only naps 2 hours and is up by 2pm.
I think when he's a bit older and ready to drop the nap completely it will be good because then we can actually plan afternoon activities

This was our exact schedule too. He slept 8pm-6:30isham and took a 2-2.5 hour nap every day. If we skip nap altogether, he falls asleep at 4 or 5 accidentally in the car or is a mess and needs go to bed at 6:30pm. But just this week he started fiddle farting and actually got out of his toddler bed for the first time ever (been in it since August). He's not falling asleep until 8:45pm and getting up at 7ish. I noticed some of the daycare kids have notes on their sheet that say only 1 hour nap- or wake after 1 hour. I'm sure he's needing less sleep but not sure where to cut it. If I wake him from nap he's super grumpy.

I know, I will really miss them! But like you said, we'll have more flexibility. I feel like we miss out on things because DS is napping basically from 12-3:30.
becole, I wouldn't mess with nap, maybe try moving his bed time back a little to 8:30 if he's consistently falling asleep around 8:45.
This was my thought because I like having him up later in the summer anyway. But the infant is in bed at 7 so then there's no time to get anything done if I can't get the big down.

Girl, you know I was planning on calling today. If no discount, Dh got a small commission yesterday so it will go to this bill.

Typically if you have an OOP of $12,000, they're gonna give you a break. I would cry. Tell them your income and your bills and cry. They have a lot of discretion.
Some guy got a hold of DH regarding buying the bike. It's listed at the kbb value plus comes with a large box of unused parts. They talked last night and agreed on $200 under list price, now today the guy says he can't do that much and wants it for another $400 less and says he's doing us a favor because he was originally only willing to pay $1000 less than list price. Why are people jerks?! I told DH we were not moving on the price, it's already a good deal as is and we're sticking to the bottom line. If he wants it he can come up with another $400. So frustrating. This is why I hate selling stuff.
Clara has good nights and bad nights about sleep. Last night she went to sleep at 8:40 and that was 40 minutes after going to bed. She had a half hour nap at daycare. Most weekends she will nap for 2-3 hours and it won't really effect her bedtime. I would really like it to just go back to 8-8 and a 2-3 hour nap. That was nice.

When Dh sells stuff on CL, he always gets asking or a damn bidding war. When I try to sell, I get people like the guy you're talking about. It's so annoying.
A severe thunderstorm is rolling through and apparently my bed is the safe space. Both kid and dog are scared but J keeps reassuring the dog that everything is ok.

We are the lightening capital of the US. It was desperately needed though. My county is in the red for fire danger. Every day you can smell and sometimes see a forest/brush fire.

No discount on the ER bill. We don't qualify for financial assistance and they said the cost was already lowered to my plans contracted amount (a savings of $400! She exclaimed on the phone..... whatever lady).

Wow a whole $400! You should feel bad for robbing the hospital. ::eye roll:: Sorry. Glad you gave it a shot at least.
