One can wish! I'm doubtful though. I'll be walking into my app on Monday for a second sweep and to set induction date
My second sweep did the trick! (Swept at 11:15 am, baby at 4:04 pm.) Hoping for the same for you!
My toddler is not taking to big brotherhood well. It's breaking my heart but also incredibly frustrating with little sleep and a new helpless thing attached to me. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.
It's at least as big a change for them as for us and they didn't ask for it and don't have the words to talk about it. Or so I tell myself a million times a day. We can do this!

I hope the second will work! The MW on Monday was pretty vigorous with the first one, though, so we'll see. I'm at least hoping for more progress on the dilation/effacement part of the program after this week of cramping and contractions
I have to admit I'm afraid of what this is going to do to my toddler. He's such a mama's boy. DH will most likely have to do bedtime for this little guy while I try to keep up the routine as much as possible for DS1. I'm the one who does nap time and bed time rocking and story for DS1 every day (unless he's in daycare). He so rarely asks for DH to do it.
My kid is only 20 months so I sort off think her emotional reaction might be easier than that of an older toddler. We're mostly just dealing with so much clinginess. Kid wants to be carried everywhere and nurse all the time.
onesweetworld For me the transition to one kid was more emotionally jarring while the transition to two has been more logistically difficult.
This is so true! All the newborn stuff is coming back to me easily and is less scary. With two, I'm more wondering how I can keep two kids alive if my husband is not in the room and wrestling with mom guilt for upending my two year old's world.
I do have to say that as annoying as the cramps and contractions are during the day, I'm glad that I'm able to sleep through them (well, provided I can sleep in general)
Officially 40+1. I call around lunch time today (it's 1245am Tues) to see if they will insert the balloon tonight. I'll spend the morning with DS and DH since it's a public holiday here and DS has no school. DH will drop me off at the hospital and stay for a bit but won't be allowed to stay the whole night unless I go into labour. I'm ok with that. He has a fear of hospitals and tends to work himself up too much. Plus he will have DS at home and will be able to keep some routine until Wednesday when the real fun hopefully starts. DS doesn't know I may be hospital tonight because he tends to become anxious about things like that. Then I'm hoping for a easy process Wed so DS can be at school for most of the day and if need be MIL can pick him up. Only issue I have is she will want him to spend the night at her house and we absolutely refuse that. So hopefully she follows the plan and keeps him at ours until DH is able to come home. Going public over private he wont be able to spend the night unless I'm in labour or baby is just born. 😊
