I think I have one of the latest EDDs here, and I am so excited for this baby I can't even contain it. Good luck to all who hav inductions and such planned soon! I'll just keep sitting around pregnant until the end of april, or who knows, maybe may.

This was me and March - my original EDD was 3/30 and for some dumb reason I thought I would go early, now I'm 4 days late! It's somewhat fun being on the edge of two BMBs though - commiserate with people who are still pregnant and also look forward to what's coming!

I feel like being this close to my EDD has me over-analyzing EVERYTHING. I felt a slight bit of pressure on my pelvis just now and I'm over here like OMG DOES THAT MEAN THE BABY DROPPED??!!
Brain: Period pains last night = you are for sure going into labour!!! Me: Calm your tits, Brain. Brain: Here, have some labour dreams too! Me: Either do it or don't. Stop messing with me! Body: Let me get in on this shit - have a random three contractions on your morning walk and then nothing.

I'm still working and preparing myself for my induction on Sunday. I work tomorrow a full day and then membrane strip on Friday AM. I'll go to work after for a half day then my mom is going to come over and help me clean and finish the nursery. Saturday I do want to make lactation cookie dough and rest and relax.

So at my OB appointment at 36 weeks, I was at 1 cm. Last week, I was at a fingertip. This week, OB says my cervix is decidedly closed.
I'm hoping to not have this baby until next week at the earliest anyway, but hearing that I'm literally going backwards instead of progressing is... discouraging.
Also, I stepped on the scale backwards and the nurse said my weight out loud anyway. Um, if I wanted to know I could have looked for myself???

Morning. This is the most pregnant I've ever been while working. I got pulled out of work due to high blood pressure and put on modified bed rest at 38 weeks last time. This is weird.
Guise I had a baby!!!!! After the membrane sweep yesterday I started having some contractions and cramping and such, which got more painful and timed by midnight. H and I checked in a little after midnight and had baby boy Dub at 5:30am! 8Lbs, 9oz, 21" long. No meds, 3rd degree tear, and I lost enough blood that I passed out when they tried to get me to go to the bathroom/shower, but not so much that it was super scary. Just resting and eating.
He's so precious and perfect and beautiful, I'm so in love. H was an amazing coach and did everything I needed. I'll post pics and story and name later- for now...time to try and poop. Considering I had an unmedicated birth I shouldn't be so scared of this part.

Today is my last day of work and tomorrow my mama comes so I don't have to worry about my toddler while I'm in the hospital. As of tomorrow evening, baby is encouraged to make her sweet entrance!

That sweep was so flipping painful. It's been about 14 hours now and I'm still not in labor. Maybe something will happen over night. DNW another sweep. We are skipping the cervical ripening Sunday night because doctor doesn't think it will do anything more (I'm 2CM 70%) so we call at 5am on Monday to see if they have a bed to start the induction at 6am.
onesweetworld this is probably going to sound harsh, but you need to relax. Wishing for labor isn't going to bring it on and can often have the opposite effect. It's why many women go into labor overnight.
You have to accept that you have absolutely no control over this anymore- she's going to come when she is ready or she is going to be evicted on Monday.
The only thing I've found that works over 90% of the time (in my small pool of people) to avoid an induction is true 100% acceptance of the fact that baby is not coming on its own and will be evicted.

Exactly this. The more your relaxed the easier it will be. I think it's why my first labour spiralled downhill so quickly. I was so stressed and tense and tried to control everything.
