I think I only managed two books for March but better than nothing. I finished A thousand skies above you, the second book I the firebird series by Claudia Gray. I would say 3/5 stars. Entertaining but not great. I also finished The One which is the third book in the Selection series by Kiera Cass. I really enjoyed those books. I would give it 4/5 stars.
Eventually my baby will sleep so I will be able to read more.
I just started A Hidden Fire. It's the first book in the Elemental books. I have read it before and found it pretty good. It's really just holding me over until my library books are available.
Also, I would like a recommendation. I am going with my H to a job interview and will be spending the night. I will have almost a whole day to myself without a car and will probably sit in a coffee shop all day and read, or the hotel room. I'm looking for a "can't put down book". I would prefer a stand alone book with great characters, romance, and some action or mystery. I have read a bunch or Susanna Kearsley and really enjoy them. I occasionally enjoy Nora Roberts but not in general. I also enjoy YA every once in a while. I want something that isn't too long, doesn't take long to get into, and holds my attention.
Any recs come to mind? What has been your favorite book lately?
tribute17 Have you read Montana Sky by Nora Roberts? I'm not a huge fan of hers, but I do like that book and it has all the things you listed.
Mrs Kimble (Jennifer Haigh) was good I thought. It's about a guy told through the eyes of his multiple wives. It's not really a mystery, romance, or action, but there are some elements of all three in it at times.
I have not read that one. Maybe I will give it a shot.
The Henry iV one looks good too. I love historical fiction but had read so much that I was taking a break from it. Maybe it's time to start back up. Thanks for the Recs. I'll see which one the library has.
