Okay- I'm trying to read through all the comments, but I'm seriously far too nauseous to scroll through and read. I'll try again later. Guess what you guys! 11:40 am and Allison has not nursed! Yay!!! I'm trying to really get on this weaning thing, because there is no way I want to do tandem nursing. H got her out of her crib today and I've been able to distract her anytime she asked to nurse. She's also hesitantly drinking milk from a sippy cup.
i went down the rabbit hole and made it to page 10. i am annoyed that i can't see any of the op's posts. but i ran out of time. i have to leave here in 30 for swim lessons. is the op still posting?

I really hope that thread was someone trolling. It has one red flag after another so I'm hoping a long-com troll. Unfortunately though that shit really does happen.
In happier news I got daycare pics back today and I love them. And I just bought a bunch of clothes at a consignment sale.

Given all those past posts going back years.... I don't think it's a troll

That abuse thread just breaks my heart. She's not a troll guys. She and I were on the same BMB when my twins were born. She hasn't posted very actively there since her DD2 was born a couple years ago. I remember some really bad stuff going on with her SO way back to the point of wondering why she was still with him. I feel like the concerns were mainly related to alcohol and domestic issues. He wasn't working then either and I know there were financial issues.
This new stuff is so sad. My heart just hurts for those kids, especially that poor baby. I'm glad they're safe now and I hope she can get some counseling to help her through this so she can support her kids in the way they need her to. Either that or I hope the kids are permanently placed with someone else who will keep them safe and give them all the love they need and deserve.

aydee yeah, I read through some of her post history on TD and it definitely doesn't seem at all like a troll. She's been around and posting since 2013. Ugh.
I haven't ventured to the thread, but what you guys have shared is heart breaking. I hope she is able to get help she needs, but more importantly I hope the children are safe, loved and get the support they need. What an awful situation

I would not recommend reading it if you haven't already. I just keep holding w and thinking about those kids. I'm emotionally drained from it. I do recommend the happy thread though. Lots of cute babies and animal gifs.

I suck at life. Yesterday about 1.5 hrs I wanted to make soup and I realized the recipe I choose to make was crockpot. Plus i forgot to get an onion.
Today was going to be tacos (suppose to be nice tomorrow so we're grilling) and 30 min before dinner i realized I never pulled hamburger from the freeze. Lol

Does anyone have advice for me? S1 is suddenly afraid of bugs which is causing major meltdowns when we go to the park. It seems worse when we are alone. Almost like if enough people are there then he forgets. Today it was so bad he was hyperventilating. The bugs aren't even really out yet. It's going to be a long spring/summer if this keeps happening

Aww. Do you or your H ever say ew or make a big deal about bugs? I really disliked when parents would freak out about rats, snakes, crickets, etc. at Petsmart. Maybe you could find a cute book about bugs? There is a shirt at target and it says "go play outside" and the letters are made of bugs. Maybe some plastic play ones, too?
Oh, I put on some of the Jergens tanning lotion. N is nursing to sleep now and I'm sure his sweaty face is getting lotion all over it. I hope a quick wipe off will be enough. Oops. Next time I'll do it after he goes to bed 😂😳😳

@runningmommy518 can you do a "magic spray"? When DS is afraid of crap sometimes j will give him a magical spray down (of water) or a magic item to keep them away (only friendly ones allowed) haha. It doesn't really take away from a knee jerk reaction though.
I'm emotionally drained from that thread too. And headache. Brutal Monday!
@runningmommy would you be able to show him there's nothing to worry about? Hold the ladybug in your hand and let it crawl around so he can see it's no big deal?
Full disclosure: not a chance in hell I could do this with certain things, so I totally get if it's a hard no for you. I just found that my kids find things less scary if they see me do it first.
