I am so annoyed. I'm in a hotel with my sister and toddler. We are ready to leave. The elevator is down. There is no way to make only one trip. I absolutely cannot haul my pregnant ass up 5 flights of stairs. I can barely manage one at home without having massive BH and it feeling like this baby is going to fall out on its own. Grrrr....

Can you see if the front desk can send someone to help you?

If it's. it fixed in the next 15 minutes (like they claim) I certainly will do that.

Definitely pull the pregnancy card and even say your doctor doesn't want you doing more than one flight of stairs if they hedge on sending people to help.

For people who have received free formula samples how did you get them? I signed up on Enfamil and Similac websites forever ago and haven't gotten anything in the mail. I plan to breastfeed but want some formula on hand just in case.

brandiewine11 I'd be furious. I'd be telling them I'm staying and they'd be paying for my additional night LOL
teachermomtobe I just got my similac package in the mail yesterday. I purposely entered my due date early so I'd receive on time. They think I'm 36 weeks so hopefully that's when you should expect yours. They sent me 2 smaller cans of different powder formula. New kind I haven't seen (HMO sensitive and advanced)... as well as 4 of the green supplemental ready to eat 2oz bottles. And $15 worth of formula checks!

Sorry for being a PW but I need to vent: I just slipped down the bottom 2 steps and landed on my butt and hand so no belly contact. It still hurt and made me upset. DH is working from home and I told him and he was in the middle of an issue and just asked if I was okay and I don't even think he listened to my answer. I called the OB even though I know it's fine and am waiting for her to call back. But man I'm pissed at DH for not even caring.
teachermomtobe, I'm sorry you slipped. I had a really bad fall on the concrete recently, and we know about lulu783's car accident and bewise getting hit by a car while walking, and if all was fine in those instances, I'm hoping all will be fine with you too! I know it's still nerve-wracking though.

I got my Enfamil samples a few weeks ago and Similac yesterday. I put my EDD a month ahead for both.
teachermomtobe - It's so scary to fall now! When I tripped and fell this weekend, my anxiety immediately went into overdrive. It was fine, though. Sorry your H wasn't more concerned. Hopefully he'll ask about it when he's done with what he's working on.

I feel you, lady. This was literally my H when I was in the car accident. He didn't come get me (I didn't ask) and he wasn't all too concerned when I got home because "you called me when it happened and you said you were ok and sounded fine". I swear men are the most oblivious people sometimes. I was super ragey over it, so I don't blame you for feeling that way too.
I'm glad you called the OB, if nothing more than to get it noted on your record. If you feel like something isn't quite right, definitely be seen.

I told DH he pissed me off, he apologized, and went right back to work. We'll see if he is nicer when he's done working. The OB nurse said as long as there is no bleeding, leaking fluid, contractions, or decreased movement I'm okay but to call them back if any of those occur. I knew that is what they were going to say and knew I was fine but still wanted to hear them say it and have it noted on my chart in case I did have to call back.

Damn what a day.
They did send someone up the help at the hotel which was good. We had a great day looking at a college for my sister. Then we started driving home. What should have taken 5ish hours turned into 8. Traffic, a toddler poop stop, then cleaning vomit from his car seat on the side of the highway. Plus all the pee breaks and a CVS run. I'm finally in my own bed and exhausted.
brandiewine11, ugh, I've been there in terms of cleaning up puke on the side of the road. We learned DD can't handed an iPad in the backseat while driving. I hope you're able to totally get rid of the stink

I just took a loaf of freshly baked bread out of the oven and I want to eat it all right now. Except I have bad heartburn and don't think I can handle another piece.
