I'm 23+2 almost a Vday! Feeling good. Only complaint is the dozen comments I got about my changing body this week. People have no tact and it amazes me what comes out of their mouth. Traveling for work this week, have to go to the airport in a few hours. This week will be exhausting at work but hopefully relaxing when I'm at the hotel.
QOtW: gap, old navy, motherhood, and seraphina. Finally fitting into some maternity shirts! I've had a hard time finding ones that fit. My mom took me shopping and I love the shirts I got from motherhood.
Hi cali! You can add that I'm team green on the check in if you want
I'm doing ok...last couple days I've been doing lots around the house and my body hurts a lot. My ankles swell a bunch over the day too...boo!
QOTW: I got a bunch of stuff I love at motherhood maternity last week. It was a little more $$ but the stuff is great, and I got $100 to spend after Easter there, so I'll go back for some dresses. I also have been pretty lucky on zulily. I am careful about what I order from there bc no returns, but I'd say out of each order only one thing each time isn't a fit and the prices are so low, I still work out ok. And I will just donate or resell what doesn't work. I also got gifted a bunch of stuff and bought a swimsuit from old navy that fits great!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
Hey ya'll...I think I missed last weeks check-in. Oops!
Babies and I are doing well at 19wks 2dys. Feeling more and more movement and DH has felt a few kicks which has been really exciting! I've been trying to lay as low as possible this last week since the new areas of bleeding were discovered in my uterus and in the membrane separating the placentas. Praying we have good news at the MFM appt on Friday. We have a trip planned at the end of the month to go to Arizona but as of last week it didn't sound like the Dr was going to let me fly. I'd rather be safe than sorry of course - but I'm hoping things improve so we can go. Also we are buying a house and are set to close in about a month. I'm so excited since we love the house and neighborhood! I'm also relieved that I'll have some time to "nest" before the babes arrive.
QOTW: I don't think I will need to buy anything new this pregnancy, but I love my items from Motherhood Maternity and Pinkblush.

Thanks for the check in cali, I hope you're doing well:)
yoshijo28, what are people saying to you? I have almost zero comments thrown my way.
wannabmama, I'm glad your having luck with maternity clothing.
I hit the first v-day on Friday. Little man has been super active in there and I can see my stomach moving when he's thrashing around. It's super cool! I'm heading to cali for a couple days tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to the beach time.
QOTW: I've had luck with target, but but only online. I've been pretty underwhelmed with the choices/prices, so I have what I have and will make due.
I'm 20w3d today. Can't believe I'm halfway there. We have our a/s on Wednesday with mfm and I'm so nervous! MH can't go and I literally cried about that whrn I first found out we couldn't change the appointment and I'm still bummed but my mom is going to come with so at least I won't be alone. I hope everything is ok in there. I'm pretty sure I've been feeling movement since last week, which is awesome and helps a lot with pgal brain, but I need to know she's healthy. My bp has been slowly creeping up the last few days after having been stable for a while. It's still not super high but I'm going to check in with mfm about it Wednesday.
QOTW: I've mostly been rocking my regular leggings and loose shirts because they still fit fine but I am definitely starting to get a bigger tummy and anything that buttons is a no go. I did buy my first pair of maternity jeans from Target last week. They're surprisingly comfy but they were kind of pricey so I'm hoping I can get away with just one pair. I've been browing the maternity section at old Navy online but haven't bought anything yet. I'd like a few maxi dresses for summer.
cali, thanks for the check-in and FX for a perfect A/S
yoshijo28, how do people not have a filter? Why would anyone think comments on a person's body are okay just because they are pregnant?
wannabmama, I've been pretty happy with the fit of things at motherhood also. They usually have a 50% off sales and I've gotten some good deals off of the clearance rack at Macy's.
AFM, I'm on weekly cervix checks now. The last check on Tuesday showed cervix length of 3.1 (good) but some funneling (bad). The funneling did look like it was closing but paranoid me is worried that it was developing more instead of going away since we had basically no funneling on Friday. I'm trusting my MFM and taking it super easy when at home.
QOTW - I've gotten clothes from motherhood maternity, zullily, target, and old navy. All of my pants/jeans have been from motherhood and I've been very happy with those. I also like the shirts. I got a couple shirts from Old Navy. One is a smock style which doesn't have any stretch so I'm guessing it won't make it very far into 3rd tri. The other was a t-shirt on clearance of $1.50. Not a big fan but at least it was cheap. So far, Target has the best t-shirts. Quality is not bad but they are definitely longer than any other brands and they fit like a normal t-shirt in the shoulders/chest area. I'm probably going to order more. I think I am good for work on clothing so now it is filling in the gaps for weekends and lounging.
"Your breasts look terrific. So full, you look great. You know I'm not hitting on you." I am this woman's manager and she said this to me. I hate my growing boobs and wanted to crawl into a hole.
"Wow you're eating something other than a box of oats I'm so proud of you, you're growing up. Now you weigh 11 lbs instead of 7" I was eating an egg sandwhich and yes I eat many other things besides oats moron. And I've gained the proper amt of weight.
"you're 5 months no way! I looked like that at 2 months" uhm, thanks??
"I hope it's not creepy but I keep looking at your stomach every day, I love seeing your progress." Ok...
Other comments I've gotten in the last 2 weeks "Awh you have pudge now" 2 ppl said that about my stomach
"You didn't gain weight, I can't tell you're pregnant." My psychiatrist
"Omg your stomach is flat as a pancake." The cardiologist at my fetal exho. I was lying down and no, it's not.
Either say congrats, you look great, or say nothing people!!
The only weird comment I got was in court last week when another attorney that I've never met (she thought we had but whatever) said, "oh I think last time we were here, I was the one who was super pregnant." I was 18w, not sure that's "super pregnant" but I guess I'm glad she thought I was pregnant and not just "super fat"?

yoshijo28, Oh my word...I'm sorry you're getting so many comments! I agree, just say "you look so good!" and nothing else. When I was pregnant with DS I had a co-worker, whom I barely knew, say "its a boy. I can tell its a boy cause your ass is getting big." Excuuuuse meee??
cali, good luck with your A/S! So glad your mom can go with you. At ours they did a quick once-over to check the "basics" of the babies and then I could kind of relax and enjoy the rest of the scan. Hopefully yours is similar.
wannabmama, Ugh, I'm sorry you're having swelling already. Hope you can keep your feet up here and there.
easilyunamused, Congrats on hitting v-day! And that's sooo cool you are seeing your belly move from the outside!
therealbug, Bleeeeh to weekly cervix checks! I'm sorry! Are they at least via trans-vaginal U/S and not physically getting in there to check? Those manual checks hurt so much, at least for me. I hope things hold steady and/or improve.

OMG yoshijo28, I cant even. Your psych should know better than come at you like that. I have not gotten a lot of comments, perhaps people are scared of me? If so then YESSS it has worked!
ASM I am 26 plus 4. Less than two weeks until my shower, which is excited except the day before the shower my sister is coming with her 1 year old and that is filling me with so much excitement I may explode!!!!
I did the old GTT this weekend. After drinking the super duper cold brain freeze inducing sugar drink, I felt nauseous and then hyper and then wanted a nap.
QOTW: oldnavy, motherhood, gap, and Thyme (Canadian store) be far the Thyme stuff is the best. like the t-shirts are so flattering and made with a sturdy cotton/spandex. Old navy has the best leggings I think. Mostly because they dont fall down. I just wish they had them in LONG because I am always showing 2-3 inches of ankle.
yoshijo28 OMG, I want to punch everyone in the face. I had this problem my first time around and with my history, it was super problematic. At one point, I said "it's just baby, going to be so easy to lose the weight."
Of course, I'm having the opposite problem this time around and it's also hard. It's basically impossible to win.
I'm 14 weeks, 2 days and we found out Friday that we are team pink (again).
No appointments until the end of the month. My appointment on Friday lasted all of 2 minutes. But I also need to schedule the anatomy scan, but that won't be for awhile. I'm really hoping to get my eating under control.... the scale's been moving a bit too fast for me (and I know it's not baby).
QOTW: I hated buying maternity clothes .... despite living in a big city, I had to do virtually everything online. I got stuff from PITP, N'strom and MM, but my best and favorite things came from T*arget. The dresses, they were amazing.
I'm 24w3d and it feels crazy to be past V-day. Yay! Not much to report here. I've got some RLP now and my bump is expanding. But otherwise I feel pretty good.
QOTW: Motherhood Maternity by way of Macy's and Target are my two go tos for clothes.
Me: 31 Wife: 30. Legally married 2008, thanks CA! TTC #1 since 11/14 using donor sperm. IUIs Jan-Aug 2015 BFN Sept & OCT 2015 added Femara. BFN Saw RE December 2015. IUI with Clomid & Trigger Jan 2016 BFN IUI #13 with Follistim April 2016 BFFN IVF #1 July 2016. 14R, 10F, 6 Day 5 embryos. 4 PGS normal embabies!
I'm pretty sure I'm finally feeling movement everyday. It's usually when I sit in a certain position on the couch and it's still just a flutter. Constipation has set in. Man it sucks. Otherwise, I'm still mostly in regular clothing even though I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow. I've worn maternity pants exactly 3 times and only because I was going out to a big dinner each time.
I have a fetal echocardiogram next Monday. Has anyone had one? I'm a little worried about it but hopefully everything is ok. I'm not telling anyone we are going to that because I don't feel like the worry. It will be nice to see the baby on Monday then again on May 8th. Makes me feel better.
We are finally going to look at baby furniture on Thursday and I might register for some stuff. We are driving over an hour and going to Babies R Us so I'd rather just get it all done at once and not have to go back. I'll register at Target later because it's near my OB/GYN. I'm still a little panicky about doing this but our baby is going to need some furniture. My mother has taken care of clothes (seriously, she calls everyday telling me she's bought more stuff. She's known for 1 week it's a boy and has gone shopping everyday. I've bought nothing for this kid yet!)
QOTW: I got lucky and my cousin had her maternity clothes in the car to donate the day I called to tell her so I have a ton of her tops. Her pants didn't fit but a pair of shorts and a pair of sweatpants did. Really all I've bought is 3 pairs of dress pants for work, 1 pair of jeans, 2 dresses, and like 2 tops. I bought the pants and tops at Kohl's and the dresses at Old Navy. Oh I also bought 2 nursing nightshirts plus a nursing tank on Zulily (plus I got an Ergo carrier 50% off!)
yoshijo28, I've had some real gems lately too. I don't know why people suddenly feel like they can say and ask whatever the freak they want now.
"Was this an accident?" LOLOLOLOL
"I don't want to get too personal but how long did you try before getting pregnant?" This from another teacher but one I've only known for 3 months...yep too personal.
"Will you be wearing super tight tops like the pregnant women do now? Or the loose clothing? I like the loose clothing better" -this from my 65 year old male custodian
"Are you still in regular pants? Why?"
After I sat down the other day my aide says "Ahhh! Look at your little pudge! I love seeing your tiny little belly!" Uh great, thanks.
"Have you told your family what you are having yet? Can we know? Why aren't you telling us?" Uh because it's none of your damn business until I'm ready to tell you?
I went to my weekly cervix check with my MFM yesterday (20+5). It had shortened slightly from last week but was still over 2.5. The MFM decided she wanted to pull me off work until my next appointment.
The weird thing was they were saying my cervix was still closed with no funneling. H and I had both thought the u/s had showed a widening of the cervix (because we are now becoming experts at what my cervix looks like on u/s 🙄). Best way I can describe it is that instead of seeing a white line for where the tech was measuring the cervix length , we saw a black gap which was definitely not the same as last week or the prior checks.
We asked the NP who went over the results and they told us that it pretty much was nothing and the big thing was no funneling. I also brought up (again) that I was not sure I wasn't having contractions- I had been having a weird tightness, no pain. She dismissed as BH and told me to watch for period like cramps.
Thank goodness we had an OB appointment that afternoon. She seemed surprised that I was being put on leave/bed rest because the report she received from the MFM said 2.8 and closed. We told her about what we saw on the u/s and she decided that we should do a manual cervix check. She said I was dilated to 1 and that I was 50% effaced.
I was admitted straight from her office for monitoring and was having contractions about 6 minutes apart.
I'm currently on indocin, IV antibiotics, and progesterone supplements to try to stop them.
We've noticed that after I get up to use the bathroom, I boom out several real contractions. My guess is that I will soon lose that privilege.
To add to the fun, yesterday's scan showed A had excess fluid. Dr. Google showed me that it was barely above normal (8.1 MVP with 8 and below being normal) so I'm trying to not stress about that. The OB dropped the bomb on us that last weeks A/S showed that B was only in the 2nd percentile for growth (MFM was, apparently, waiting to tell us until she did another scan in case it was nothing) AND when they ran my blood type to see all the antigens I have (I knew I was A+) I have increased antibodies to some antigens. The OB hasn't seen the exact number so I'll find out more today on what the plan is but her guess is that I was exposed to fetal blood when I had my placental abruption.

therealbug thinking all the good thoughts for you! I'm glad you're in the hospital so they can monitor you and I hope you get some answers and reassurance soon!
therealbug, So glad you spoke up for yourself and your babies! FX that they will figure everything out and keep those babies cooking as long as possible. Tons of hugs!
