ampaints it was brought up a few weeks ago. Kinda. When the new mom said "yeah she had her shots today" the other two moms said nothing. What's weird is one of these older moms has an older daughter that is (I think) up to date because she went to daycare and it was required. Now this mom stays home
We also have E in a booster. He does OK at dinner as long as he doesn't snack much when we get home too. If he gets restless when we are just starting to eat, I will get him some stickers or a car or a book to play with until DH and I are done.
Anti-vaxxers WTF?!
We're going to try eggs today. I'm thinking maybe we'll do it outside just in case. Did any of you try doing it in a whisk so the kids could dip and remove from the dye? Do you know what I'm talking about? I might do it that way so I'll report back.
I feel like we are on summer break and I can't wait. We're going to have an endless summer this year due to the combo of very few snow days over the winter (get out earlier than usual in June) and our governor's mandate that the kids should go back to school after Labor Day for the 2017-2018 school year! I am super excited.

I guess this whole things sucks because we all do things everyday and interact with people all the time. We have no way of knowing. Like when s1 starts playing with a new friend he meets at the park. We have no idea if they are vaccinated or not
No well visits for over a year, and when he was an infant! That just seems insanely irresponsible.
Her reason? She doesn't want to expose her kid to unnecessary germs.
The other mom doesn't do well visits either.
I feel for the mom who just joined our play group with a 5 month old. I don't think she knows and I don't feel comfortable telling her when I don't know her well. She mentioned shots at one playgroup. So I'm certain she vaccinates.
Wait, Wut? She will take her kid to a playgroup that is also full of potential germs but not to the doctor? I judge this real, real hard.

I've experienced this at the LLL meetings and I feel weird about little babies being around non vaccinated children. I share your fears runningmommy519.
How do you guys get your kids to sit in their chairs at dinner? DS is always always wanting to get up early but not he won't even sit down at all. Last night he kept climbing onto the empty chair next to me walking onto my chair and then trying to climb on the table. I would try to put him in his chair and he would refuse to sit so I would put him on the floor and then he would go back to climbing up onto the empty chair. Screaming the whole time of course. I think part of the problem is that he nurses right after we get home from daycare around 6 so he may not be hungry for dinner. Again I am trying to wean some but not having much success. I know he can sit and eat fine because he does it a daycare every day.
Catching up, but we have a booster seat similar to this. Ds knows it's his seat so he climbs into it and gets buckled. No climbing around, no getting down until we unclip him.
@betweenthelines, did you still go for your pedicure? Glad you're feeling better.
And that's the same seats C has and it's pink cuz handmedowns....lol
I'm in the chair right now! I woke up with a killer migraine so it took me a while to get moving. I'm getting a haircut at 2:30 too!
We don't actually have that one. Our highchair converts from highchair to a kids chair, but it also comes with a booster. That thing was so worth the money. We were able to use the booster for dd while using the highchair for ds still.
@janetheconquerer, ugh I can not think of the band name but it is the one with Andre 2000 or 3000 or whatever and Big Boi. And I know a ton of their songs, like Bombs over Baghdad, the Rosa Parks one, etc, etc. OK, I just had to google it but I won't spoil it. I can't believe I couldn't remember the name.
All Springy. I'll spare you the foot pic, but my toes are coral.
Now I'm folding clothes and hardboiling eggs.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us. We have a 1st birthday party tomorrow at noon, egg coloring tomorrow night, and then we go to h's grandma's house for easter. Plus my parents are home from FL tomorrow. I haven't seen my dad since January!
flippinchica, A is strange and LOVES her highchair. She will fuss if we don't buckle her in. If she's not strapped in, then she would be all over the place too. I think she really likes using her own fork and spoon, which only happens when she's in the highchair.
I would also try cutting out the snack when you get home, as tough as that will be. Hunger will probably help in this situation.

We are also going to try to colour eggs this afternoon after M's nap. This morning we played in the backyard, and I cleaned up one the back gardens. I really dislike gardening, but like having pretty gardens. I will definitely be planning to hire someone to help design something nice and easy for the new house!

As for sitting while eating. M is actually pretty good with that. We use a booster and the tray. We do try to eat dinner as a family. My bigger annoyance around meals is that I definitely become default parent during these times. Like I will be getting all the food ready, everyone is served, and I will need to get M's plate together and make he has everything, while DH starts shoveling food into his face. Sometimes I get ragey about it. Like just once I would like to sit back and just eat and not have to be the one whose meal is constantly interrupted. Apparently I have some feels about meals! Lol

Well now I'm confused. @janetheconquerer, which song were you referring to?
Or maybe the one ampaints put up was referencing the OutKast one? Like there is a new-ish song that refers to Petey Pablo and taking your shirt off and swinging it like a helicopter and I'm like "yeah, there is no way my students know that original song they are talking about."
