We have an ENT appointment this morning, if her ears are not awful, he will hold off on adenoids for sure and see how next winter goes. DH is still feeling lousy, but went to work today. Between him being sick, and my physical therapy which is 3 times per week, and work being insane last week I had 55 hours, I am freaking exhausted and it is only Tuesday.

Good morning! I am up and showered. Breakfast has been made and consumed. Right now I am enjoying the last half hour or so I will have alone with G until the afternoon. My niece and nephew will be here soon. I am trying to decide if I am taking them to the park again today. They were pretty good yesterday and it's beautiful outside so it may be a good idea.
W still has a runny nose and yucky cough so we missed library time again. She asked for a smoothie for breakfast and now we're just being lazy on this rainy day.
I realized I need a hobby. I don't really have something I do simply for myself that I enjoy. I think it would help me feel less like I'm I'm a slump, but I can't think of what I want to do.
Right now my life is work, make dinner, clean up dinner, bath time, play, bedtime, then I do chores or more likely sit on the couch and do nothing. My house is in disarray, I'm a mess all the time and I feel like I have no energy or desire to put forth effort into anything I do. I'm sick of feeling like this though.

linny12 I color, puzzles or crochet when I need something to occupy my time. I sometimes throw some cross stitch in there too. I find the winter makes me feel like I am in a big time slump. The past few days I have felt better than I have in months because I got some sun. I hope you find something.

linny12 the only "hobby" I have is my workouts. It's literally my only time for myself. I don't have time for anything else. I used to do yoga, but I really need an instructor and class setting; and there are no close studios by me. I crocheted before I had kids. I read. Take walks and listen to audio books or podcasts.
I doubt I would do any of this if I worked all day then came home and had to do dinner bath and bed time. I work over night so I get up by noon and have the whole afternoon to do more things.
I have 3 weeks left of maternity leave and I'm already sad. I am going back part time so I will be very happy to drop one night shift. It's gorgeous weather here! So happy to spend some time outside!
I took all three kids to the park and it went well. Now we are watching Moana until lunch and I put G down for a nap.
Looks like you're ready for more babies
Thanks. That's purely up to my uterus now. I am currently of the mindset that of others can do it, I can too. Oh and I have you guys to give me advice and encourage me. I am 95% sure I would not have made it through pregnancy and momming thus far without totally losing it if it wasn't for this board and you ladies.

What hobbies do you all have?
What kind of things are you into? Do you like crafty things? Exercise can do wonders for your mood and energy. My zumba class is such a great stress reliever for me.

That's the thing, I don't even know what I like anymore. I just feel so far away from myself, or something.
I did get myself in the elliptical today and that felt good. Maybe I need to just keep trying new hings til one sticks.
Exercise would be good, because I definitely need to work on my health.
Hi. I took M to the zoo with my parents this morning. It was hot and crowded but she seemed to enjoy it and it was fun to see her so excited. Now she's thanking me by refusing to nap. I am so annoyed. It's way past her normal naptime and she got so much stimulation and so much exercise this morning. She's normally asleep in 5 minutes for naptime. It's been 25 and she's singing and covering her face with her blanket. I know she's probably overtired but this sucks. We have a family Seder to go to tonight and I really need to shower and wash the sunscreen and sweat off me and I can't do that until she naps and wakes up.
45 minutes now. Whyyyy. I had to go sit outside. I can't sit in there without feeling the very strong urge to run up the stairs and yell at her to go to sleep.

I understand the nap time struggles. There are days it takes G forever to go to sleep. I usually let her lay in her crib for at least two hours even if she doesn't nap. I do it so that she knows that this is quiet time whether she sleeps or not.

Thanks, I'm just at my wit's end atm. She has never not napped before and in fact I don't think it's ever taken her more than 10 minutes to fall asleep (once we went down to 1 nap). So I have no idea if I can even take her to this Seder, if she's going to be a mess, and I have so much to do that I can't do until she sleeps and wakes up. In addition to this thing tonight I need to prep for my parents to watch her tomorrow while I work and I can't do that. Gahhhh.

robotpcr since she is in her crib just partying, do what you have to do. She will still be in there whether she naps or not. Shower, do your prep work and whatever else it is you would do if she is sleeping. She will be fine. It's frustrating but she will be ok. Your family will understand if she is cranky later. If they don't, that's their problem. She is a toddler. Sometimes they don't nap. 😕 Will she fall asleep in the car on the way to dinner? On no nap days G will sometimes grab a quick car nap if we go anywhere and it holds her until we get home for bed.

Thanks lady. Yeah, she probably will asleep in the car now that you mention it. I'm just frustrated. Kids, make a plan and watch them blow it up.

G is the absolute best this. 🙄 "Oh you need to be somewhere, I am just going to nap an hour and half longer than usual." "Ummmm yeah you have an important dinner to take me too. I don't really think I should be in a good mood for it so I am going to repeatedly slam my butt into my crib mattress instead of sleeping. Sound good? K." That is my life.

My microwave died. I probably can't get a new one until tomorrow. I wouldn't care. I can live without one. My difficulty is going to be when my niece and nephew are here tomorrow. They are super picky eaters. Basically everything they eat has to be microwaved. I will have to work around it or their dad has to drop off lunch for them. 🤷🏻♀️

Haiii!
Sorry for the nap situation robotpcr. The days that J fights his nap are the absolute worst.
Just scheduled the first counselling session for DH and I. It made me nervous. I am kind of afraid of going and having to be totally open. But I'm more afraid of what could happen if we don't do this. So, I'll go and do my best to contribute to positive change.

G peed on the potty!!!!! This is enormous. She doesn't tell us when she has to go so at night we have been putting her on the potty before bed. Usually she just sits on the bowl and doesn't do anything. Today she peed. The things I take joy in now are astounding. Lol
We are going on a religious pilgrimage. My MIL's family has been going for YEARS, like I am talking about since she was a child. It always takes place during holy week, it is a 3 day camping/hiking trip before finally arriving to our destination. Which is a small town in Mexico and visit the Virgen that this is all done in honor of.
My MIL's family rents a huge tour bus and they all go together. So that all gets started tomorrow. But S and I got here yesterday.
My first time traveling with him. He definitely misses home and Daddy. We have face timed Daddy 4 times since yesterday.
His schedule is ALL FUCKED UP!! Not even because of the 2 hr time change, but he doesn't do well with sleeping anywhere other than home.

Did she ever get tubes? Have they helped? I missed the adenoid convo.
