So just to give an example about the small things that have us not happy about M's current day care...
At pickup, M has a note by his lunchbox that says he needs more pull-ups for naps. Cue my husband to find a teacher to figure out why and let her know he can do simple math. He tells her that we gave 5 pullups last Monday and he only went to school two days because of his fever. We also sent 3 pull-ups this Monday (in a ziplock bag with his name on it) and he only was there twice so far this week for nap, therefore, he should have 4 pull-ups left to finish this week out.
The teacher's response: She'll talk to the other teachers to figure it out because they don't label the diapers and he used some other kid's pull-up today because he was out.
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I guess they think pull-ups grow on trees.
We get a crazy situation like this almost weekly. Every time we say to ourselves, THIS is why he is switching schools this fall.
I literally could have written this post. It's the exact same disorganization and ridiculousness that drives me crazy. But he's so happy there's. I still haven't made my decision yet!
lahdeedah88 I would write his name on the diapers and a number. Then they have no excuses and the other parents will know too.
I can do this, but the parents don't have access to the pull-ups. They keep them in a room only the teachers have access to where they store the cots for nap. They are not kept in the cubbies, so when we send them on Monday in his bag with his nap sheet and blanket, they are put in that room. It's only the fault of the teachers.

My DC could be robbing me blind from diapers and I would have no idea. Whenever I get a note I throw a sleeve of diapers in his cubby. He's come home in random ones before, but I figure people must borrow from us if we borrow from them.

Lol tallblonde. Before M was potty trained, we didn't keep track of it either. Whenever they said we needed more, we gave them. Now that he uses them only for naps, we send 5 every Monday to make it easy.

Ah. I was thinking kids are being sent home in them and parents might notice the teachers aren't using the right diapers
Yeah. Most every kid who transitions to the primary class is potty trained or in progress. Pull-ups only sent for nap time if needed.

Same.
He (Atticus) is allergic to Pampers though, so I had to tell them if he ran out in the middle of the day and all that's around are Pampers they can call me and I'll be there in 5 minutes.

lahdeedah88, that's so annoying! C doesn't use diapers/pull ups, but I've noticed that with L I send a thing of diapers and they label each individual diaper with her initials (and she also have her own bin that they go in). Occasionally if she runs out she comes home in a different diaper, but I think the daycare has extras for this situation so she isn't taking from other kids.
Over here it's the norm that daycare provides diapers, wipes, meals etc. They include it in the price.
Some home daycares do that I think, even formula. There are so many special snowflakes though, that everyone wants to use the brands they have exhaustingly researched and are used to (myself included).

H's old home daycare would have provided formula if she had needed it, parents choice brand only though. They provided the baby food and then normal food when she started eating that. They didn't provide diapers though.

Yeah, my friend has her little guy in a day care center and they provide all formula and baby food. I find it so weird b/c I am so funny about what they eat as babies that I couldn't imagine just letting them choose what food he gets and when.

I'd be all over it! Maybe not the formula since I use the gentle stuff, but if daycare provided healthy and well balanced baby food I'd love it! My kids only go to daycare twice a week though, so I'm sure that factors into it.
