I think we've finally graduated from football hold to cradle since DD is getting bigger. Thank god. That makes the whole nursing session more comfortable and easier.
Does anyone have a double stroller that they love? I don't want the sit and stand because I've read that it's easy for the older kid to get out and my three year old is definitely a runner. I'd love one I can use with a car seat. I wasn't planning on getting one originally but I'm dying to get out for walks, go to the zoo, etc. and this seems like the best option, even if I only use it for a little while.
. can i ask why you are going downstairs during wake ups?
Generally we don't. Last night she had a blowout, and we ran out of diapers when she then peed all over the last one as I was trying to put the clean on on her. We keep a changing station in the nursery and another on the main floor.
I'm still also trying to get used to keeping bottles of breastmilk upstairs- we started when we brought her home doing formula bottles over night- so we just keep the formula and bottles in the master bathroom. Last night was night one of doing bottles of breastmilk and we brought up four ounces and landed up needing a third bottle (split up over the entire overnight).
I'm also the weirdo who only likes super ice cold water, so when I get thirsty and run out of my glass of water, I have to go down. Tonight we're picking up a mini fridge using a target gift card I was given, so now I can keep cold bottles of water AND my pumped milk upstairs.
I think I must be the only person who does every feeding downstairs, and every diaper change upstairs. I planned to have 2 of everything, and then she came early and I haven't really minded. I enjoy going into her room for diaper changes, and showing her all her stuff, etc. since she sleeps in our room for now.

Also, i seduced DH last night. We didn't get very far before I called it quits. But now I know what the ouch-level is and I think it's a 2 glass of wine minimum. Poor H
I'm wearing real jeans today! These are my "in between" ones that I bought 6 months pp with DS when I was tired of too big maternity jeans but not back to pre-pregnancy size.
glb30 I do everything MOTN downstairs. This baby is super loud and sometimes he struggles loudly at first to latch (only at night). I like to let DH sleep if I can. Plus I think it helps to prevent me from passing out with baby on me
I tried on my prepregnancy jeans today and they fit! They still aren't the best look though so I'm going to try again in a couple weeks. Hopefully time is all I need! (Also not eating all the cookies could help)
Beautiful day here. We went for a walk to downtown to run some errands. Hopefully heading outside again soon. Last night we left the kids with the sitter to attend a celebration for work. It was nice to see the co-workers and have a few drinks. I wasn't even sad to leave. We have a great sitter and adult interaction.
Potty training day 1: went well. Only one accident (peed at nap but that was expected) but she didn't poop all day. I think the worst part is being stuck inside all day for three days.

. a friend's dog shit in my backseat not once but twice (and both times trampled her little paws in it all over the bench). Get it detailed, tip them a lot. That's the only thing that took out the smell and all the stains.

We just finished dinner an hour and a half ago and I'm already hungry. We had steak, mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Dh and I pretty much ate 2 lbs of brussel sprouts.

This is why I don't understand vegetarianism*. I'll eat a crap ton of veggies and I'm hungry again so soon.

I'm sure you've gotten plenty of responses over there, but I love our city select baby jogger (not a jogging stroller, though). It's not wide, the seats can be configured in 16 ways, it's a smooth ride, the seats detach so it folds down pretty small. I also like that it has a hover board so all 3 of mine can fit!
I also have a bob dualie for running. It's really smooth, but it's gigantic. It also acts like a sail, catching wind and increasing resistance. I do not use it for trips with 2 or more kids.
I took both kids shopping and DD didn't scream in the wrap the while time. She even dozed off in the carseat while I got DS some cheesy roll ups from Taco Bell.
She's still pretty difficult to soothe but..this afternoon has given me hope.
Today was not the best day. I'm so tired from hourly wake ups (not even always to eat - sometimes C just wants to party in the motn). I visited two daycares this afternoon. One was okay, but it doesn't really matter because neither have infant spots. The HVAC people were supposed to come by to turn on the gas for our new stove after it passed inspection this morning, but they didn't make it by. I had to improvise and cook dinner on the side burner on our grill. Oh, and the basement and garage in our old house flooded, which ended up being a $300 expense (only $110 was strictly necessary- the rest was to appease the renters).
Tl;dr I had a bad day and came here to complain.
I'm sorry. That's a lot to deal with andplusalso newborn.
