DS and I are going to toddler art this morning. I'm also planning to go to the dollar store for some Easter eggs since I decided to do an egg hunt for DS on Sunday morning. I'm trying to decide if I should put anything in them since DS doesn't eat candy. Is it boring the find an empty egg? I guess he doesn't really know that there's supposed to be something in it. I'm also solo parenting today because DH has a track meet tonight.
DS had daycare today. They made easter hats and then this afternoon they had a bit of a party with parents. They showed off their hats and then had a form of egg hunt where they found coloured sticks and then all got a small bag of eggs in return. Here he is making and wearing his hat.
At the moment I'm sitting up waiting for DH to get home from work. Hopefully won't be too much longer. In the morning I need to make hot cross buns which I've now been making for about 5 years and FIL loves.
My BFF's water broke this morning! I am so excited. I'm dying to know what's going on. She's 38w but she told me she knew she was having her baby this week. She was right with her older DS so I'm not surprised.

Ooo how exciting! Is she team green?
Nope. Another boy! And he's here! That bitch was in labor for 4 hours π

I wish we had toddler art smilesp where is that offered? We did an Easter egg hunt on last Sunday and K is obsessed with the empty eggs. She just dumps them and puts them back in her basket. It's actually helping her learn colors, although she thinks everything is blue...it's a work in progress.(DH ate all the candy; it was tootsie rolls.)
Congrats to your friend robotpcr sounds like she did amazing!!!
I have both children upstairs napping in their cribs right now. K needed 4 blankets Mickey and Minnie to lay down, so she's going to wake up a sweaty mess. And R needed to be resettled about 10 times before she drifted off. She's actually a good napper for 2 months old; but I am ready for longer stretches overnight. I forgot how hard these nights are...the adrenaline of a newborn has definitely worn off, and I'm back to work in 3 weeks. Thank God I cut down my hours to part time.

Hi ladies! I am so freakin tired. I had another bad night. I slept for about 20 minutes all night. Then I went to work. I just got home and I am laying down. I am sure that as soon as I fall asleep, G will wake up.
Omg. Me and my 48 hours hate you. Maybe next time.
I'm one of those who has a long period of contractions for days or weeks so I'm already at a 5 before active labor starts. I still get the pain, it's just less pain and stretched out.
The grass is always greener but I really think I would pick that. You know, like I get to choose.
flyinghorses6 Toddler art is through parks and rec. It's every Thursday from 930-1130 and it's $3. They have a bunch of different stations where they can do "art" or just play.

How many words are expected for a 2 year old? Is it 50? I started writing ds' s words down and he's at about 30 and no phrases. Do animal sounds still count?
We get in the car and she promptly falls asleep. Thanks kid.
Were you the one looking for a kids size wheelbarrow? They have them at Aldi here for $15! I think you said you ordered from Prime already, but I saw it today and thought of you.

Does he use them functionally? Does he seem to be learning more words? Can he follow a directive (go get your pajamas)?
I would talk to your doctor if you're worried, but I think that 50 is within normal limits.

You're kidding!?! We primed one that should be here tomorrow H was planning on going to Aldi today for groceries but didn't. He'll be upset if our store has them too.
Though he did get her one that is metal and seems pretty well made so maybe he'll justify it that way.

This one was plastic, so I'm sure the one you ordered will last longer. I hope she likes it!

He only says about 35 words. He can follow directions and I can tell that he understands everything we are telling him. He only had 6 words at 18 months.

So I'll be a hot mess tonight not sleeping because I'm worried.
Poor thing You can alternate Tylenol and Motrin, so 2 hours after Tylenol do a dose of Motrin then do Tylenol again at the appropriate time from the last dose of Tylenol.
