I'm up for the day after babies morning bottle. This is usually their best nap of the day so I get to enjoy breakfast in the quiet and more importantly HOT coffee.
My city started this thing where they send you orange bags and you can fill them with clothes and household goods and put them out of recycling day to be donated. For some reason this seems a million times more doable than taking stuff to goodwill. So now I feel inspired to do some spring cleaning during nap times. I just have no idea where to start.

That orange bag thing is awesome! I hate having to take things to Goodwill.

If your baby doesn't sleep in a pack n play do people actually use them? Ours has been sitting in our family room since day one. I thought I'd use it for naps but really it's just a storage bin for burp cloths, diapers, etc. I'm tempted to put it away or take it to my moms or something. I thought I'd use the diaper changer on it all the time but really it's too low and hurts my back. Diapers get changed on the couch or the floor mostly.
mustloveerica, that is really awesome about the orange bags, what a great program! And I assume we'll be using our pack and play more as a safe place to let her hang out with toys when she's a bit older and we need to get things done around the house or do something else.
DH has the day off today and he wants to get some things done around the house. I had to convince him to not just take DD straight to the sitter's house this morning. She's only going to be little for a short time, is it that much to ask to spend a few hours with her in the morning and take her to the sitter's house later so you can get things done?!
Ok, end rant. My DH is amazing, but I just find that annoying. I want to spend all of my time with her so I just don't get it!

This is why I didn't buy one. I figured my mother in law would buy one for her house. Man I hope she has something for baby to sleep in on Sunday or I'll be buying another damn RNP.

I thought for sure I'd use it to keep dogs away from babies while I step away. But I ended up just installing a baby gate to keep dogs out of the family room. And then also quickly learned the twins can't nap together in it so it's basically just a huge storage bin. I think I'll take it to my moms for now until they're older and I need a baby cage.
I think it might be a Halloween costume? Lol. SIL dug out the penguin and a reindeer fleece suit for us when it was snowing and we had no winter clothes for our early arrivals.

We used it primarily for napping and I assumed it would become a baby cage. But we ended up putting up a playyard

A friend gave me a pack n play when we first got our older boys. We didn't use it for the longest time. Then we started using it for naps for FS2 when he was around 6-7 months so that the boys could nap in separate rooms (since they share a bedroom). We've also used it for traveling. I think it's good/necessary to have one but not until the baby(ies) are a little older.
I think I was so exhausted in those first couple of weeks that I had no desire at all to get behind the wheel! My dr only gave me ibuprofen 800 which I only took one or two doses of before realizing they were making me super nauseous. So I just stopped.
