DC is closed today so I'm home with DS. He's getting a haircut so that should be fun. DH has a half day so maybe we'll go to the playground and out to an early dinner. Tomorrow we are doing an egg hunt at a little carnival and then going to my mom's for an early Easter dinner. Sunday we'll just hang out and dye eggs. Maybe go to Home Depot to get new patio chairs and plants if they're open.
We're doing another egg hunt tomorrow and then dying eggs. Sunday we have church and then are going to my parents house. Dad will grill, we'll play games.
Then we'll come home and have the traditional viewing of Jesus Christ Superstar
Was hoping to take Dd to an Easter egg hunt tomorrow. Ds and I have a cold and I think Dd may be getting it, so we'll see how she is tomorrow.
We'll try to get to church on Sunday, though the church down the street that I want to love but don't, has a Saturday afternoon service that would be easier. Ds's nose is running nonstop though so he's probably not wanted in any nursery.
At the very least we'll color eggs at home, watch services online if we can't get there, and have a nice meal at home.
I also want to take pics of the kids for dd's 3 year and ds's 9 month. It's supposed to be hot on Sunday and they'll be dressed nicely.

We are going to the ILs on Sunday. And we will have DS'S first egg hunt at home. He loves rabbits these days (refuses to call them bunnies), so I think he will be pumped.
Too much this weekend! We have a Easter egg hunt in the morning and a birthday party in the afternoon. Sun I want to go to church (don't know if I will). We have to dye eggs at some point so we can hide them on Sunday at home. We also don't have anything planned for dinner yet.
I wanted to bring Clara to a egg hunt but we are potty training so we aren't going anywhere. We will do basket on Sunday and maybe do our own egg hunt. We also bought stuff to dye eggs with. I miss my family and the crazy times that would be this weekend if we were near them.
Today at 3 the kids are going to my parent's to dye eggs. I'll get them after work.
Saturday is up in the air and no plans. I'm going to try to go visit H's Grandma with the kids, we haven't been in awhile. I also need to buy a gift for SD for Easter.
Sunday is lunch with my parents and a small egg hunt, probably outdoors since it will be nice. SIL is having a small get together at her house for lunch but it was planned very last minute so we will make an appearance at 2. SD went to her Mom's last night so H will have to go get her at some point Sunday and miss stuff.

Tonight we are going to order in dinner and dye eggs. Tomorrow is DD's third birthday party at Sky Zone. We are doing it that day so my brothers girls can come since they come up for Easter. Sunday we all go to my mommom's retirement community for a brunch buffet, then back to my parents to hang as a family. We will do a egg hunt for the kids, my mom will have turkey sandwiches and pasta salad and we will probably enjoy some beer/wine. Nice and low key I'm so happy we don't have to rush back to go to my inlaws dinner this year. I asked DH and he agreed
I think DH is going to stop by the dollar store today and get some eggs and stuff. Maybe we'll hide them and let DS hunt Sunday morning. #doingtheleast
A's birthday party is tomorrow and then we'll dye eggs afterward. Sunday, we'll do an egg hunt and then we're going to Disney on Ice. Since we're cooking for the party and have so much going on, we're going to do Easter dinner next weekend.
Nothing much here. Swim lessons tomorrow and I have eggs to do a hunt at home Sunday. I was planning on getting DS a haircut but forgot to book it. I'm going to try and wash down my bike and take DS on a bike ride

Nothing big going on here. Ill "hide" some plastic eggs on Saturday night before I go to bed for the girls to find on Sunday morning. Dh is working this weekend, so it will be just like any other weekend.
We did get invited to my BIL/SIL for sunday, but I don't feel like going. MIL keeps trying to make me feel bad about it by going through Dh, but that shot doesn't work. I shouldn't (and dont) have to to feel bad about choosing to spend a holiday weekend at home with my kids.

I know some people will disagree but if you want to go to the egg hunt you could put a pull up on Clara in case of accidents but still make her go potty before leaving

Yeah, I was thinking of maybe doing that. It will be her third day. At nap and night time we are keeping underwear on and a diaper over the underwear to help her still feel it. She has only really asked to go to the potty herself a handful of times though. She also likes to play in the bathroom. I don't know if she is actually "getting it" yet or not. She had two accidents in two days though so maybe? I just want to leave the house. I am going crazy... it isn't helping my baby blues or whatever the hell I am going through.

With only 2 accidents, I'd say she's getting it because she's mostly holding it until you make her go. It's been a few months with DD and I still make her go most of the time. She only says she has to go if she really has to go. I say you're ready to try an outing, just take extra clothes along.

Thank you! Towel in the car seat?
If it makes you feel better haha. I don't know, the second time we tried Dd was really ready and just got it. She'd already been using the potty some while wearing diapers and staying dry. She's never had an accident in the car.
meggypoo1, maybe she can just hold it longer than most kids??? Eliza is like this. She can hold it a lot longer than you would think, even when she just wakes up. I have to sometimes bribe her or coerce her to go just in case because I'd rather do that then leave and have an accident or have to find a bathroom.

Maybe! I just told MH about thinking she was doing ok and that maybe this is just the why it will be and he was like I feel like throughout childhood we will have to ask her.

Asking to go and holding during sleep are both developmental so I wouldn't expect her to get that this fast. DS has been in underwear for 2 months and still doesn't ask to go, I take him every 2 hours and he wears a diaper at night.

No towel in the car seat (not safe). I would put a pull up or diaper on over her clothes, and make sure she goes right before you guys get I the car.

Thanks! We are doing every 20 minutes right now.
It sounds like she's doing great. Try leaving her longer today and see how she does? I think there's a lot of m14 kids that have been trained for a while and still don't really ask to go
I've PT 3 kids and pull ups were used with all of them. DD1 took a weekend, Eliza took maybe a week. I personally think they negativity with pull ups is bull. They have worked for us. And with DD1 we used them for a solid week before I finally went out and purchased underwear. They are great and sometimes necessary for leaving the house.

Agreed. I use pull ups for any longer outside trips or any situation where we might not be able to get to the toilet. Better believe DS will be in pull ups when we fly next month and he always wears them after swim because we go straight to the grocery store.

We did pull ups with Dd on the plane for our own comfort. She never peed in one though.
And we diaper at night and nap because she never wakes up dry in the morning and we've had nap time accidents. Mama doesn't like washing the bedding that often. I read something that some kids don't night train until 6 - a small percentage, but it can take a while for many kids.
