I'm going to the first outdoor Farmer's market of the year! Then working for a few hours. Tonight we have a friend's birthday party. Tomorrow I'm doing nothing but crocheting ALL day! And maybe yoga.
What are you planning to crochet? I learnt how to crochet this past summer, and I haven't stopped since
I'm crocheting constantly. I think I have 3 blankets in progress right now!
Okay, so while I was hanging out in the courtyard the girls brought the chicks out. Apparently their mom got them from the pet store. One of them is for their aunt. And no one can tell me what the plan is long term. I have a strong suspicion they didn't think this through. At all.
Maybe I just know a disproportionate number of agricultural people, but does anyone else remember last year when so many dumb hipsters got baby chicks that the CDC had to put out a warning on why it's a bad idea to hug your chickens?

I get to work all weekend again! And next weekend too, but then I get to go on vacation for like a week, so it's all good. Tomorrow we're making ham and scalloped potatoes at work, and since our regular cook took Easter off, and the girl who's doing the kitchen apparently doesn't know how to cook ham, I get to do it. I'll probably end up making the roux for the scalloped potatoes too lol. The last time I did kitchen (ages ago) that was what I made, and I swear there wasn't anything left to toss at the end of the meal.
I get way too excited when I get to help/do kitchen duty at work lol
mflowers929 I hope that you at least like making the ham! Is there anything more satisfying that cooking for a group who don't leave any leftovers?
I love cooking in general =) I used to hate it. When I moved in with H, he banned me from the stove top because I'd either burn everything or seriously undercook it, but I watched a shitton of cooking shows and basically taught myself how to cook, and now I love the challenge of making good food.

I remember the "no hugs" thing! But I forgot about it until you mentioned it @eliida that still cracks me up! And now I really really need to know whats up with the wedding dress/baseball bat thing. I wouldn't want to be the person in the tuxedo.
mflowers929 ohhhh I have leftover ham. I should make ham and scalloped potatoes.
I think I'm going to buy myself a waffle maker. I want all the waffles!
I got one for our wedding shower. I don't use it a lot, but when I do they're awesome!
Yeah, that's part of why I don't have one yet. That and storage. But now we have this cabinet thing in the kitchen and I actually have a place I can put it, so I really want one. Plus if we had a waffle maker we could have breakfast for dinner more often! H isn't a fan of pancakes, so we don't get it very often right now.
I think I can't host things anymore. I cleaned all day yesterday. Cooked all morning today. Hosted. And an old injury is really swollen and hurting in my leg. For two hours of company ultimately.
I mean, I know I'll do it again. But still. Lots of pain and now the rest of the day stretching before me lonely like.

*hugs* I'm sorry you're in pain. As a fellow chronic pain sufferer, you have my sympathies.

That sounds awful. I'm sorry you're in so much pain. :(
Oh man, no thank you to rural. I grew up super rural and always thought I'd eventually go back, but when I had to stop working and we had to move from the city in with the ILs in the country I thought I was going to die. It was only 6 months and I couldn't get back to town fast enough!
So, surprising exactly no one, window guys never contacted us at all this weekend. We still have a shitty broken ass window.
But I am smooth and oiled and I feel great. I really enjoy waxing over shaving, tbh. Even when I get the best shave, I already have stubble in less than 24 hours. Waxing just works better for me. Also, I *love* my esthetician and she always puts me in a great mood. She recently opened up her own business which is so great, but is literally on the opposite side of town from me now, so that sucks. But I'd rather go no other place.
Well, since Blake has decided that we don't need Prime, you'll have to wait a week. Lol. But as soon as I get it we should have a waffle party!
If you ever do need anything speedy, lemme know. We're probably Prime lifers.
As soon as it actually matters I'm getting it back. I was super tempted today. It's totally worth it to me, but Blake got angry that something he bought wasnt Prime eligible and was all pissed of that that made it totally not worth it. 😒
