Ridley got up too early and has been snuggling on my lap for almost two hours. She's just now starting to perk up. I figured she would fall back asleep eventually, but I guess not.

I have M in a Mommy's Hunny Bunny onesie - I don't really want to put her in a dress if I intend on wearing her all day at my in laws. Too many people that will want to touch her.

I should probably put my baby down and take a shower. She was alert and awake for the last two hours or so and I didn't want to put her in the RNP when she was awake.
Also, she's been talking in her sleep the last two or three days and it's super cute. But I really hope it stops at talking and she's not going to be a sleep walker.

I'm a sleep talker too lol
Me, too. But I've also been known to walk in my sleep, especially as a kid, and I would go outside often. Not a big deal in the country, but we live in the city by a busy road.

Alright Mom's I have an hour ride tomorrow alone with the baby. I freak out about her neck in the car seat. Do I go out to buy an infant insert for the car seat ??

I wouldn't. Aftermarket items like that aren't safety tested with the car seat and aren't recommended. What are you worried about specifically?

Her neck flopping around and her airway being compromised

According to the car seats for little Facebook page you can use rolled receiving blankets to keep her head straight. That's what I did when ds was little

She has great neck control but it's an hour that I can't see my baby. I think if this is a safe option, I should do that.

Do you have a mirror for her so you can check on her as you drive? Might give you some peace of mind. If you're really worried could you stop halfway for a break or something?
My kid did a few stints in the rock and play last night and my boobs feel a bit better today for no real reason. But I'm at that stage where I'm bored when I just sit around and nurse but exhausted when I do anything more ambitious.

I'm pretty sure I posted in pregnancy and not here but last night I put up a FB post about how amazing my mom has been. MH just comes up to me and goes you need to talk to my mom. She's all mad at me about my post and I am so not doing drama at 7 days postpartum

I do have a mirror but I read they are not safe either.
