I'm 90% sure H and I are going to go on a solo vacation over Memorial Day weekend. My parents can cover 2 nights, and we're going to Charlottesville for a spa and cideries/wineries.
I'm absolutely giddy at the thought of not having babies clinging to me for a couple days.
Definitely played the penis game in HS! Lord have mercy... lol
Speaking of PENISES... peni? We're 2 lesbians raising a son. We know nothing about penises. How the hell are we going to get him to stand to pee? LOLZ
So happy it's Friday. This week really flew by. Jake's second haircut is tomorrow at a for realz barber. First haircut was a Disney. I hope he does ok.

M is a stage 5 clinger and at an 11 this morning, so he's at 16 overall. I woke H up (no idea what time he got home last night, don't care) grabbed my phone and coffee and I'm hiding in the bathroom for a while.
Been there. I want to tell you it gets better, but my 3.5 year old still clings. I accidentally gave him a bloody lip the other day because I started to lift my leg at the same time he was grabbing onto it. I also have yet to shower without an audience since he's been born. So, no shame in hiding sometimes!
I have yelled, "I just want to take a shit in peace," more than once. I find ways to stay sane, like leaving the boys buckled in the car while I unload groceries (they like to "help"). Or buckle them first, then spend five minutes calmly getting all the things I forgot.

Don't. I made my boys sit down to pee until someone at preschool taught them to pee standing up. As long as you say, "point it DOWN!" a million times, you can delay having boy pee allll over your bathroom. Plus, more likely to poop if they're sitting to pee
Straight here, but still penis ignorant, I called DH from the changing table once and was all, "Uh, testicles just move of their own accord?!" Boy bits are freaky.

Lol! That sounds perfect. I definitely do NOT look forward to cleaning pee off the floors/wall/ceiling.
Loading Jake's tablet with apps for our trip.... favorite apps for your littles aaaaaand GO!
I hate to say it but no apps for my little as he's too little.
A just go a tablet for Christmas. They also don't get to use our phones for games either. But we do listen to lots of kids music and for trips we have downloaded movies for them.
hiimjamie, also regarding pee'ing standing up. no experience yet, but i hear throw a cheerio in there and tell them to aim for it. or to draw like a fly on the base somewhere and tell them to aim for that. target practice.

We got Jake the Verizon Gizmo tab for Christmas. Bc I work for them lol. There's a whole kids mode for it and he loves a few of the games (peek a boo barn, peek a boo fridge, the peek a boo Sesame Street app, a coloring app, a music app, one where he is in a farm and "milks cows", "shaves sheep" etc). but is too young for most of them. We have PBS kids, YouTube Kids, Hulu, Netflix and Disney Junior. All of the stuff to watch! LOL! I just downloaded a ton of Fisher Price Puppy apps. Those look fine. I tried them all first and I think he would totally be able to use them. It's mostly just clicking on the screen to advance. ABCs, 123s etc.

hiimjamie my 3.5 year old is highly entertained by YouTube videos. He will seriously watch garbage trucks driving around and picking up trash, or trains moving down the tracks. I have no idea why that's so interesting, but it works if i need 15 minutes.
hiimjamie I have 2 emergency apps on my phone for M. They're by Sago Mini. I have ocean swimmer and music box. He can play both, mostly tapping and moving finger around the screen. My cousin has others on her kids tablet, says they're all good. Good luck with the flight! I love Portland.

Well I went to playgroup that has 2 unvaccinated kids. It turned out nice because at one point I was alone with the mom with a 5 month old and I could tell her. She seemed shocked and she appreciated that I told her. We are up to 12 infected now.
