joi922 +1325 on going on vacation. Of course he loves preschool, but he will also love being at the beach with his family. Let's be honest, he has many many many years of 'school' ahead of him. Missing one week of preschool is not going to hurt. Make memories with your family!

It went well! I think so anyway. I was questioned pretty hard about why I would take this job. It's getting so frustrating, like people don't want to give me a job because of my experience. I think if I don't get it, it's because they said the pay was too low and they think I'm going to keep job searching.

tuscanlatte , that mindset is frustrating. Like who is it for someone else to determine what a person wants for their life. Like over-qualified is not a thing. I think it is such a good opportunity for a company to be able to take advantage of that individual's knowledge, even if it may be for a shorter period of time. I hope you find something soon. Didn't you mentioned a few weeks ago about a possibility of doing some contract work for your previous employer? Is that still an option?
ETA - i apparently have lots of feels about this topic. I was passed up for a job a few years ago for similar reasons, told that they felt I would be bored in that role and that I was off to great things. Fast forward about 3 years and the person who got that position is now my manager, and got said manager position solely because she was in the previous position I was passed up for. She was definitely not qualified for it, and it has been a struggle. She is getting better, but now 3 years later, she is basically where I would have assumed someone in her position would have been 3 years ago.

Yes it is. Just waiting on funding still. Also because it's a totally different industry I could do it part time at the same time without conflict of interest. It is annoying because I'm the type of person who isn't tied to my job and if I enjoyed it I'd probably stay and work my way up. And it's annoying that everyone keeps deciding for me that I wouldn't take it! I have one more job Application that is closing today and I'm crossing everything for an interview. I think I am emotionally maxed out at this point. Unemployment is brutal!

redandblue exactly. I wouldn't stay in this position forever but that doesn't mean I'd leave the company. I pointed out to her that you need to learn the bottom end of the job well before you can efficiently do the top end, and id like a chance.

@layloo8 I'm sorry he's being a bear. I'm glad you're able to take a breather. I hope he goes down easy and your H is able to get home sooner than you think.
H is running to the store to grab a replacement Frida because w lost the topper. And some Popsicles to cool this baby down. I'm so glad we have Easter leftovers and I don't have to cook.

Funny thing about fruit snacks. We went to Costco today where they had a sample gal handing then out. S1 being the big helper that he is took two containers, one for himself and one for his little brother. He handed it to E before I could say anything so I went with it and E loved them. Chewed them enough too
layloo08, hey there life twin. C was a bear yesterday. Due to short nap and up late than up all night. He went to bed early and slept til 3:30 and just needed some water and went back to sleep.
