Aww sorry jennykat, hopefully she gets with the program soon!
I think I'm finally, maybe, getting over this ridiculous cold. Confession, I kind of want the cough to linger so I can keep sleeping in the guest bedroom, LOL. It's always my job to try giving baby the paci a few times in the middle of the night to see if she'll go back to sleep (which she usually does), and I've enjoyed just letting DH deal with it... Oops.

As an indicator of how today is going to go...both babies spit up all over me this morning. E in my hair and H all down my back. So now I'm eating oatmeal in my underwear. Yay Monday.

Awww poor girls M spit up for the first time yesterday while I was changing her. I guess I should have kept her up longer and burped longer.
My back is killing me. Jemmy is pulling everything out of the cabinets that aren't locked. But if playing with my mixing bowls (plastic) keeps him occupied while I drink coffee then so be it.

They've always been spitty babies tho it has drastically improved since the early days. Es spit up happened as I was picking her up to burp her. I think it's because they got all formula yesterday since we were on the go and I didn't want to transport breastmilk. They rarely spit up breastmilk but formula always comes back up a bit.
Does she do tummy time yet? If the girls are fighting their naps I can usually put them on their tummy and they'll fall asleep and then I can roll them onto their backs after a few minutes and they'll stay asleep. They won't nap for long on the floor but it lets me get a 20 minute cat nap in that way.
We had several totally crazy meltdowns this weekend, which is so weird considering how happy she was the rest of the time. She also figured out how to blow drool bubbles with her mouth, so that's pretty adorable...

Sigh, she'll only do tummy time on me presently. One of this week's goals was to get her to start it without me being her base. This nap info makes me even more determined!!
Try putting her on her tummy and kind of firmly patting her bottom. For some reason this really calms my girls. That might help her not freak out about tummy time.

THe firm pat on the bottom was the only way ds would even remotely tolerate tummy time /anecdote

DS hated tummy time. Like screamed whenever I tried to get him to do it.
He still isn't a fan at 7 months old, unless he's watching the dog run around. And even then he doesn't always last that long before he rolls himself over.
My kid hated tummy time so I wouldn't necessarily do it every day, but now she is all about it since she discovered she can scoot. They get there eventually.
Well, I got a little more sleep. But then she slept until almost 8! Usually she goes down for her first nap around now. At least it's Monday and the schedule doesn't really matter.
LadyNymeria, SAME. Except I had to work Friday, boo.
Life with a baby is weird. It was beautiful out yesterday and I spent 90% of the day inside. We wanted to go for a walk but decided against it due to baby's schedule during the evening... One day we'll be back to some sort of normal, right?

onesweetworld, I was just reading the weekend thread and I'm annoyed at your MIL. That post about your mom was so sweet. I hate when people act like saying something nice about someone is an insult to someone else. Get over yourselves....especially at 7 days PP.
My sister wants to meet up at a play cafe next week and I don't know if I want to go. She's a nanny to 2 babies, so it would be fun watching R have someone else to interact with, but ugh. It's an hour and three buses away, and it would mess up her naps. But I know my sister really wants to see R and doesn't have many opportunities. Ugh.
Es hair is falling out cuz cradle cap. This makes me sad. I'm terrified H will get cradle cap too and lose her long crazy hair.
My first had the worst cradle cap (all over her forehead even) and some hair did fall out, but mostly the hair just just rubbed off from sleeping on her back

yeeesh...3 busses? That sounds far. Is there anything a tad closer?

Mine got cradle cap on his forehead too. I called it cradle face. LOL
(we ended up getting special ointment from the doctor that cleared it right up)
