Morning. Up a lot last night with a sick L. She's really congested and has a really thick cough. Not sure how else to explain it, but the cough has been making her throw up, so I'll be calling the ped when their office opens. Working from home today so hopefully work doesn't need too much from me. Off to make more coffee! Happy Monday ladies!
I'm home today bc we never firmed up childcare plans this past week. I did last night though, my mom will be watching them 2 days a week while I go into the office until such a time we get firm/permanent childcare plans in place which we promised not before end of summer so it gave her a timeframe too.
Her boss had cut her hours from 40 to 20 and she picked up some hours with another real estate professional in our area (she's a bookkeeper /office manager) but she doesn't want to stay with the woman bc personalities clash. The only thing is I have to find a way to ask her not to discuss politics in our house bc it seems to be Hs thorn.
Another sick kiddo making for a rough night here. He just couldn't stop coughing unless on an incline. Sooo he slept on me most of the night, i.e. I didn't sleep much.
I've got a bunch to do. Lilah spit up all over our duvet so I'm washing that. I also have a mountain of laundry to deal with on top of sorting out Lilah's 0-3 stuff and Lillian's 18 month stuff plus all of their winter clothes. That's today's goal.
We also have to mail a document and then we have a playdate/craft. Lilah has been extra fussy (teeth? Stomach issues? Something else?) so I hope she's not too upset going out today. The holiday messed up her nap schedule so maybe she's just tired.
After I get dh, we're going to Home Depot to get a few things including paint samples for our front door. I might also get the primer for the backsplash to get that project going.

Sounds like some poop nights. Coffee for all!
I'm in my bedroom nursing M and I can't stop staring at our windows. After 2 years we finally hung some curtains up. It took me over a year to find ones that complemented everything in the room and they're perfect in every single way....except that it turns out that the top of the windows are 9 feet off the ground, not 8. It looks like my windows had a growth spurt and are wearing pants that are too short. I'm very much bothered by this. #FWP
My toddler is following me around everywhere singing 'Baby Beluga'. It's going to be a long day.
Mine does this, too. Is it just one line or the whole thing? Lillian will walk around scream-singing "let it go" over and over. One time she did it for 20 minutes straight. Just the one line. Occasionally, she will sing "twinkle star."
Add me to the singing toddler club, although it's Mama finger, Mama finger, where are you? Sounds more like "mama ficker, mama ficker" and he has a cute thumb and pointer finger wiggle to go along with it! Cute, but after the 100th round it's a little annoying!

Morning ladies. It sounds like there were some rough nights. I hope all these babies feel better.
I'm off today, just hanging out with my cousin right now. He leaves tomorrow so my mom is making dinner today. It's been so fun seeing him this weekend but it'll be nice to have our house to ourselves again tonight. Hopefully we can get C back to his normal schedule again. He is being super cute this morning too. It makes me miss our days together before I went back to work.

He's got the first verse, then it turns into his own song, something about his 'blue car picking up the baby beluga'...IDK, lol
H and I always laugh at the Duluth buck naked undies commercial.... I've come up with so many new slogans for them.
None of them appropriate for here.
But no we've never tried their stuff.
My sister doesn't have her own email address she just has a joint one with her H, so when she orders presents online for him she used my email address so he doesn't see it. Well I think my bil would be horrified to know, I know he goes some of their buck naked underwear 😂. Their little picture of the underwear would not drop out of my Gmail front page for a very long time.
Today is Patriots Day/Marathon Monday so MH and I are off from work. It's absolutely gorgeous out and we spent a really nice morning at a parade and then an al fresco lunch with the babies. Now I'm sooo ready for a nap.

kleigh That's how I felt with Lillian. She just cried and was so frustrated until she figured out the next thing. And then when she was mobile, I was like "nooooo!" Chasing around a 10 month old who could run but not talk/follow directions was not fun. I told Lilah she could take her time. She didn't listen.

Lol I know I'm very well going to regret saying this 😂😂

Lilah's poop has suddenly been like a bright yellow, like corn colored maybe, for almost a week. It's weird. It used to be a bit darker, more like honey colored. Is that normal or should I be worried? I feel kind of silly asking, but it's seriously not a color I've ever seen.
tjanca22, I find I always get sick when the weather fluctuates like it's supposed to this week! tgrimes1980, I'm sorry about H's ear infection, I was a chronic ear infected baby, only made worse with swimming, I hope it clears up soon! waitwhat, I'll bet you're hung over 😉but it sounded like a fun time! ClassyMrsA, do you breastfeed? It could be something you ate!
+1 on wanting to see Beauty and the Beast!
Let me know if I should move this to the sleep thread (I didn't want to bump) but L seems to hate naps when he can't see me!?! That's my guess. He slept in his chair in the living room but refused to let me lay him in the pack n' play which is in the guest room on the same floor. I have him sleeping most of the night in his co-sleeper which is an improvement in and of itself! So why is the pack n' play awful?

cheshie6 Yes, she's breastfed and she gets bites of things here and there. This has been going on for every poop for 5 or 6 days. I haven't eaten anything unusual, but I did have a stomach bug Tues through Thursday last week.
cheshie6 I have similar issues and chalk it up to their surfaces feel different. Mine will sleep in a crib, bed, or couch (as far as flat surfaces) but hate the PnP. I think the mattress is thinner and not as still (at least ours aren't, they kind of move/rock as the baby moves - not intentionally but just the way they're built.
Hi all! Long day. Sorry for all the sick/wakeful babies...ugh. I'm with y'all, this cold/flu season has gone on long enough. It was such a mild winter here, too, so we were outside plenty...go figure.
I've been feeling a bit hungover all day--I didn't drink much so I think it's just a mental hangover from all the festivities yesterday, ha. I got some errands done and then my mom came over to entertain the kids so I could get some packing done.
We discovered Saturday that Caroline *loves* the sound of packing tape being pulled off the roll/through the dispenser. It cracks her up and she just laughs and laughs. So random but so funny. More box-taping today = allll the giggles. It absolutely melts my heart.
LizInFL soooo cute about C laughing at the packing tape!! D is not a big laugher; she's only done it a handful of times and it's really only when she's being tickled. It's so cute to me when babies laugh at random things! waitwhat poor congested J I hope he is getting some sleep and you're getting some food!
LizInFL that is adorable! J loves when I'm changing him and I put his arm inside his sleeve of a shirt. No idea why but the kid cracks up every time. It kills me!
Once in a while C will giggle when I'm wiping his bum. It's so funny. That poor kid is super ticklishlike his parents!
