We were trying to be super quiet in our hotel room tonight so we didn't disturb anyone and E kept Shhhhing everyone in THE loudest voice. One of the other kids would whisper and E would SHHHHH at them as loud as she could. No matter how many times we tried to shhhh her though, she'd just keep saying it back. It was great.

R has recently been waking up (or just deciding he's done), picking up the monitor camera, looking right in it and asking "Mom! What time is it?". When I answer he just says "Ok - thanks!". Like he knows.

When I worked at the daycare, we had some good ones.  One older toddler loved Fire Trucks, but he called them "Fire F*cks"  So hard not to die laughing every time he said it!

Another one was a really early talker, he had lots of words at like 14 months, and a few of them were hilarious.  He called sticks "dicks".  Too funny when he wanted to carry around a stick on the playground and kept announcing "Hold Dick!"  And forks were "f*ck".  

We had a three year old who was... spirited to say the least, and one day he was walking around saying "Pain in the ass! Pain in the ass!"  No mystery where he heard that one...

He's also just started saying "lub yooou"

Today we took R to look at an antique truck from a Craigslist ad. The owner was trying to get it to start for us and was not having much luck. R says quietly to me "mom, I think it needs more gas" with a very knowledgeable look on his face.

Then yells "Man! Hey man!! It needs more gas! You need to give it more gas!"

He's not even 3. I could not stop laughing. He doesn't spend a lot of time in the garage with his dad at all....

DD is convinced that surfing is basically the meaning of life.
Whenever her brother is nursing or sleeping (I told her he has to sleep and eat to grow) she says it's so he can go surfing. Because big people go surfing.
The same with if we're trying to get her to eat something. She'll say it's so she can go surfing. 😂
