+1 to MH thinking my 6 week appointment meant immediate action. IIRC it was only a couple days after the appointment that we had sex.
It was not comfortable. Lube and taking it slow was important. Discomfort was not limited to the first time either, but it got better each time.
Pretty much this except that we went for it the day of my appointment (my appointment had been rescheduled due to an emergency so it was a week later than it "should" have been) .

mustloveerica, I am also back down to pre pregnancy weight and my hips and rib cage have definitely changed. From what I can gather it can take a year or so for your hips go back (if they do at all) so I grabbed a couple of pants from gap to hold me over and have been trying to buy more dresses since hip size doesn't matter as much.
There's an app (maybe it's red line?) if you scan the upc it will tell you what stores they came from.
I believe walmart has a pretty generous return policy but I never tried it. I think so long as they offer that particular product they will exhnage it?
mustloveerica - I've never tried diapers, but I found that ^^ to be pretty true with Walmart.
That's good to know. I have lots of size 1 diaper boxes collecting dust.
I'm only up 3 pounds from pre pregnancy. But my body is definitely not the same shape. I think I'm going to have to suck it up and buy all new pants.
Also, when does the linea nigra go away?
Mine took a while. Someone told me to scrub with a loufa so I did, although I have no idea if that made a difference or not. At 7 months PP I can still see a faint trace of it, but it is mostly gone.
H slept in until 7, so I let Ridley lose on the bed to wake him up. She kept saying dad SO clearly. Like, not babbling dada, but really enunciating DAD. It was cute.
The baby has had an explosion of new skills/tricks lately. It's exciting but certainly keeping me on my toes haha
I'm realizing that with babies/kids....the minute you get settled into a good routine they go learning something new and changing it up. Keeps it fresh!
Not as well as the night before. She just wanted to be snuggled and only slept for 4 hour stretches. She just fell back asleep on me so we might go back to sleep for a bit. H will be home for lunch soon though and I need to pump so going back to bed isn't really the smartest move.
Morning ladies, I just realized this board is active so if you don't mind I will jump in. I am from J17 and I have a little boy.
mustloveerica, good luck going downtown with your twins! Definitely use the canopy, people say the weirdest things with little babies and I am sure it is worse with two.
requiressnacks, that sounds terrible. I was thinking of getting an IUD but I keep on hearing these horror stories so now I am not sure.
Anyone tried to exchange diapers before? The newborn diapers are pretty consistently leaking now. The size 1s seem massive but I think it's time to move up. I'm hoping to exchange the rest of the newborns for size 1s. They were gifted so I have no receipts and no idea where they came from. Someone told me Walmart would take them. Is that true?
I think it can be really tricky, but worth trying at least! If you can't return them, I highly suggest searching online to see if there are diaper pantries in your area. Lots of people struggle to afford diapers at all, so just don't throw away your unopened packages
Edited to add - @led, looks like you beat me to it! Oh well, more positive vibes for donations of diapers out in the universe is probably a good thing
Regarding PP hair loss, I think I'm suffering a bit but not as bad as I thought it could be, so we'll see. Does it count that DD is constantly ripping my hair out? That's got to be part of the PP loss I'm sure
Also my hair is crazy frizzy today because of the rain. Boo.
R went off to play by herself, but after a few minutes I went to check on her because she should be getting ready for her nap. She was sitting in front of my clothes shelves (there isn't room for an actual dresser so I keep my clothes in one of those Ikea cube shelf things) surrounded by my clothes that she had pulled down and just swaying back and forth. Didn't really think much of it, but I picked her up so I could get her to sleep and she fell asleep before I even made it back to the living room! Now I'm wondering if I would have given her more time if she would have just fallen asleep in the pile of my clothes on the floor. Lol

Also, some places will accept opened packages as well. I donate all my stuff through Healthy Families or my public health nurse, and they both accept open packages.

I'm pretty sure I just hurt my mom's feelings. She started calling DS "little bruiser" and it was cute the first one or two times she did it when he was born (he was a decent size baby). But then she hasn't stopped so I told her she needed to find a new nickname for him because it was really getting on my nerves.

ourcrazynavylife that would get on my nerves too, my Fil refuses to call my son by his first name. It is driving me crazy! He thinks we should have named him the III so he uses his middle name only. We no longer call him grandfather but rather grump-pa.

I wouldn't worry about it. Assuming you weren't mean (which I doubt you were), she can get over it. IMO - your kid, your choice on nicknames until they're old enough to decide for themself.
My dog's name is Hank. You should see the look people get when they try to call him Hankie (in addition to being told to never call him that again).
