I didn't know there was a BRU event today...hmm...I wonder if there is one around here. I'm going to a Pottery Barn nursery event later then off to dinner with friends and game night at their house afterwards. Tomorrow we are sanding/painting the bookshelf for the nursery and having another couple over to hang out--I want to make a yummy app and dessert so I'll be going through my Pinterest later. Mmmm mmmm!
Omg I totally forgot about the pottery barn one today. I might go to both. I love their bedding!
I'm so giddy now!! I told my mom I was by myself all day/night so she's driving 3 hours to hang out & spend the night! Can't wait to shop & eat with a partner in crime!
I just called, it's a registry party so raffles, staff on hand to answer questions, etc. I may stop by ours later because I want to win some prizes
Oh phew! I didn't want to miss out on the trade in event. We aren't registering since this is baby #2. Have fun! I hope you win something!
The trade in event is later at the end of the month and it's lasting for a couple of weeks so no need to worry. This is baby #3 but I still registered for the completion coupon; I'm not having a shower.
not a ton, TBH, I actually don't think we have anything planned, I should really be figuring out what we are going to have at DD's 5th party next weekend. clearly I am procrastinating.
DH and I are at a college tour right now with my sister and two of her friends. Then later we are going over to our friends to have dinner. I've also got to catch up on what's been going around here.
Going to the BRU event today too. I also need to go talk to BBB because there's something wrong with our registry so I can't login. I also need to hit the mall at some point because my winter jacket is finally getting too tight so I need a new one.
Go to Destination Maternity. I went yesterday and got awesome deals. They have 40%off of clearance!
I got my winter coat from destination maternity as well. I love it!!!!

We have sooo much to do this weekend...
We have to clean out the junk in the nursery and start to take the walls down so that we can insulate them (our house is poorly insulated). We have an appointment today at the car dealership to possibly trade my jeep in for a new one, and we're supposed to go out to dinner with friends.
Tomorrow we have our end of the year fantasy football party at my sister in law's house. I have to make some crack weenies so I'm super excited about that.

Happy Saturday ladies Today I am starting to pack up, throw away, prepare to sell our house shit as it is 1 month until I fly home to Australia. (SO and the dog will arrive a month after me) I need to go though the "important document pile" ha... And just the extra shit you accumulate. To be honest I cannot be fucked, and I wish I was rich so I could give everything away and not have to pay my naughty credit card bill off. But one month until I see my mum and dad and best mates is super exciting. I'm rambling...... Starbucks time

No real plans today. I might find some motivation that I didnt know existed. Tomorrow is DDs 3rd birthday party along with teaching my two classes.
DH is already annoying me today so I just might barricade myself into the nursery and work on it. I just wanted to do simple cake and ice cream for DD birthday since she's 3 and DH kept inviting other couples so I moved it to a bowling alley/bounce house place. Now he's like "Perfect! Now I can watch the games at the bar" since the place is a full service restaurant and bar too. I told him it sounds more like this party is about him and I'm annoyed. I would totally have a glass of wine or two if I could drink so its not that. Just the start to finish sounds more like his party than hers.
I had my first official meeting with my doula this morning. She is super awesome. And even DH, who thought it was a silly expense at first, seemed to be impressed with how knowledgeable she is and what she's planning to do for us. Then I'm hoping to get all the tape and everything off the newly painted baby room walls. Friends are coming over tonight so we'll go out for dinner and maybe play a board game. Not sure about tomorrow. I'd like to see the movie Wild.

We gotta lotta plans and a lotta nothing. Supposed to dinner with friends tonight but she's still got some awful MS (due in June) so we agreed to play it by ear. Tomorrow we're spending the day in Santa Cruz. Monday we're hitting up a hockey game. I'd love to tackle our registry especially now that I know about the BRU event, but we'll see.

So, I was supposed to tutor online from 1-3, but the family of the two girls I tutor spaced out and forgot, so now I'm free until 3 PM. And I really should clean my house but I'd really rather play online...
Can I use the excuse of having three cats and two dogs piled on me for not getting up off the couch? I swear, they've been plastered to me ever since I found out out I was pregnant (we have 7 cats and 2 dogs and they are ALL taking turns keeping the baby warm, apparently).

stargazerlily, completely valid reason not to move. I often only have 1 of 2 cats that keep me in place, I'm sure the greater the number means the less you need to get up.

Just curious, how involved is your doula going to be with your whole process? We have a doula-in-training. I wanted one because I'm going to hopefully attempt a med-free birth (assuming LO cooperates) and I'm terrified of needles so I know even the IV my doctor says I need is going to throw me into a panic, plus DF has had some bad hospital experiences with family so I know he'll be really anxious, but we couldn't really afford it so we are working with one who has been through training and is working on accummulating hours. She said starting in early April she'd meet with us (we just had an initial meeting in November), teach DF some massage and relaxation techniques to help me through L&D, and that she'll be there at the birth, but I don't think there will be any involvement after that, but I've heard some doulas stay involved in the transition back home.

The rule in our house if the cats are sleeping on you you cannot get up. It is bad Luck to disturb a sleeping cat.
I should make make my escape now since they are awake and bathing each other......

She seriously is the bossiest little diva I've ever met. She holds grudges and exacts revenge, too. My XH used to tease her all the time. Finally she had enough, bided her time and plotted, and in the middle of a family dinner, she jumped up on the table, ran straight up to him, bitch-slapped him across the face, and then ran off.

I don't mess with her.
That may of made me pee a little. My DH had to know what was so funny. I could early tell him I was laughing so hard.
