So upset right now, my nanny just gave her notice, she is moving with her H in 3 weeks. I was not really fond her and had some issues so it's not the worst thing but I now have to scramble to find replacement care and I want to cry.
Hugs 🤗 I hope you find someone a million times better
L wasn't a total gremlin, but he wanted to be held all night. H took him in the nursery and held him for an hour in the motn, god bless him. I feel more rested, but could still sleep 26426543 years if given the chance
Anyone have to deal with baby acne? Little dude's getting pimples like crazy.
I've noticed a little on M's head and I put some breast milk on it. It looks better today.

My baby won't sleep unless it's on me or in my arms I've created a monster. She's asleep in my lap right now and as soon as my show is over, we are going to try to sleep in the RNP.
DD rolled yesterday from back to belly!! I got it on video this morning.
DS on the other hand just lays on his belly and tries to crawl. I'm not sure he'll ever bother with back to belly.
Don't lose hope. DS1 was almost 5 months before he rolled over back to belly.
I walked into the living room one day and saw him on his belly. We had placed him on his back to play in the kick n play piano. He looked so freaking proud (and has slept on his belly ever since so beware that may happen..)
Your DS might be like him and just waiting until he knows he can do it!

I remember you gave me his same advice with DS and you are so right. He rolled around until he could REALLy crawl. Lol

DS had some baby acne. I noticed it was worse on days he slept on my chest over night. I left them alone whenever they popped up and they cleared up on their own in a day or two.
So babies got up every 3/4 hours last night. When they get up we just automatically feed them since we were instructed to feed them every 3 hours when they came home. But it seems like they'll never learn to sleep longer that way. Should we be automatically feeding them or letting them try to self soothe back to sleep? That one night they gave us (2) 6 hour stretches was the most wonderful thing ever. So I guess I'm wondering if there's something we should be doing tonencourage them to sleep longer between feeding. Or is waking and eating every 3/4 hours normal at this age?
Well take this with a grain of salt because I was under orders to wake every three hours to feed for the first four months due to slow weight gain.
When we could let him sleep longer, he didn't likely due to habit. I always fed MOTN wake ups regardless of how long it had been since he had eaten. However the first night he slept through I took that as "proof" he could go all night. And I haven't fed MOTN since. For us that was around 7 months.
I know around 4-5 months (usually around time when babies can soothe themselves some) some people start feeding only if it's been more than x number of hours. Or "attempt soothing for x number of minutes". I didn't feel comfortable due to J's low weight.
I'm not sure how helpful this is. I suppose we could google night weaning recommendations.
mustloveerica - I looked back through my tracker and around 6 weeks we were still feeding every 3-4 hours, with the very occasional 6 hour stretch. DS is 7 months now, and a couple/few weeks ago I implemented no MOTN feeding unless it's past midnight. But at 6 weeks, I was all about feeding him to get him back to sleep ASAP so I could go back to sleep.

**hugs** I hope this turns into a good opportunity to find someone you like better.

Everything I came across when DS was first born told me that you can't over-cuddle babies this young. I spent many nights sleeping on the couch with DS on my chest and now at 7 months those early days of sleeping on my chest have not impacted his nights.
Full disclosure - he's not a good napper, but I don't think that has anything to do with letting him sleep in my arms when he was first born.
IMO, there will be plenty of time for working on good sleep habits. Don't beat yourself up if all she wants is to sleep in your arms right now. She's still little and the whole world is new to her. It makes sense that mom's arms is the most comforting place for her to be.

This times a million. She's in the "fourth trimester". She's too young for too much in the way of habits imo.
Not that you should give up on rnp for naps or sleep by any means! Just don't blame yourself for creating a monster. I think most. Babies prefer sleeping in their mom's arms vs elsewhere
mustloveerica, R has never given us long stretches, but around 4-5ish months is when she would wake up and Just want a cuddle before falling back asleep sometimes. At only 6 weeks I would definitely still offer a bottle. But, also, R still eats 2-4 times a night, so maybe she's not the best model. Lol
peaseblossom55, oh no! I'm so sorry for all that extra stress and that you're now put in such a rush to find someone. I hope you're able to find someone you're really happy with.
mosdub, R had terrible baby acne! Doctor said to just leave it alone. It eventually cleared up on its own, but I don't remember when. It took a while. The bigger struggle was getting h to leave it alone. She had a massive pimple on her chin and h just couldn't help himself and popped it, she had what looked like a scar there for a few months.
Alex was up every 2 hrs to eat. He's almost 5 months. I've tried to ignore him, give him his paci or rock him back to sleep but he wants to nurse. This doesn't happen frequently these days (usually nurses only twice MOTN) but it really sucks for a Monday morning.

mustloveerica We did the same thing with MOTN feeds and let him ween himself off them himself. He was pretty much doing every 3 hours then it dropped to only 2 feeds then 1 then eventually he started STTN. I think that happened around 4 months but I know he's a unicorn baby. He still gets up once in a while overnight and we will wait a few minutes before getting a bottle ready. There's been a few times that I've gone to make a bottle and he was asleep by the time I go in. Have you heard of le pause?

That's exciting!
My 7 month old has only rolled back to belly once! And it was overnight so we missed it!
I'm glad to hear someone else is in this boat. My almost 6 month old has never rolled back to belly without a little push. He's only done belly to back a handful of times since 4 months. He's just not that interested. Unless he's naked, then that kid will roll belly to back and scoot himself all over the place.

Haha. So I should try letting DS sit around in a diaper more often? Even at this point he mainly rolls belly to back just to get out of tummy time. It's like he learned how to do it, then moved on because it wasn't new for him anymore.
1. Leave baby acne alone. It will go away on its own. Breast milk is okay though. A had baby acne and an ill-informed medical professional advised me to do something that actually made it so much worse.
2. You cannot spoil a baby under three months old. It's the fourth trimester. They are looking to recreate the feelings they had in the womb. Hold that baby all you want. If it's exhausting for you, swaddle and put her in the rock n play, but don't feel like you're spoiling her.
3. A just stopped MOTN feeding about three weeks ago. At six weeks, babies don't have the ability to self-soothe yet.
