I'm glad to hear someone else is in this boat. My almost 6 month old has never rolled back to belly without a little push. He's only done belly to back a handful of times since 4 months. He's just not that interested. Unless he's naked, then that kid will roll belly to back and scoot himself all over the place.
Haha. So I should try letting DS sit around in a diaper more often? Even at this point he mainly rolls belly to back just to get out of tummy time. It's like he learned how to do it, then moved on because it wasn't new for him anymore.
Sounds like R. It seems like every time she learns how to do something she'll do it for a couple days, then she's over it and won't do it again. Though she usually does eventually start doing those things again.

It's worth a shot! C will seriously go from a rock to a crazy wiggley baby when I take his clothes off. I can't wait for it to be warm enough for just a onsie.

Yes!!! DS gets so active when he's naked (or close to). I can't wait to just let him be free in his nakedness.
So I'm not going to meet my sister for lunch today because it's just not reasonable with Rs naps, but she may or may not come over when she gets off work. I hope she can make it. I know she feels a lot of pressure to be a part of Rs life (we never had a relationship with our aunt's/uncle's/cousins growing up and she's determined to not let that happen to us) and it's been a few months since she was over.

@led - Can't blame you. That trip you said you'd have to make to meet her sounded like a lot, and that wasn't even counting nap interference! Hope she can stop by later.
Thanks, me, too. I feel like I should make more of an effort to make sure they spend time together while they can (sister is planning to move back to Nairobi in about a year) but I've never really gotten along with her, so it's hard to get past that for Rs sake. Plus neither of us drive, so it's never easy.

E is still isn't rolling over yet. She is just a wiggly baby though when we do tummy she gets frustrated because she tries moving and getting somewhere but can't just yet. She is so close to sitting though.
Isaac has a PNP at my grandmas house and he just started learning how to nap in that. We didn't use our PNP at home until two weeks ago. Next baby I definitely want to try some newborn naps in it to prepare.
J slept at night in the PNP right from the beginning but i definitely think I was lucky in that regard. If he hadn't been willing to sleep swaddled and flat things would have been way different.
Now naps were a hot mess until after he started sleeping through the night so if/when we have number two I'd like to try to prevent that lol

Wow....Nairobi is far!!
Well, it sounds like you guys are at least attempting to coordinate. Maybe try to FaceTime in the meantime?
I think I've read The Ants Go Marching at least a hundred times today. This has been her favorite book since she was old enough to show excitement. I'm ready for change!

I will say Isaac has slept in his crib since week 3 or so, but the PNP just seems like a much harder surface so I don't think he was used to it.
J didn't seem to mind the pnp (although I hear you on the hard surface! I bought a padded sheet for it...) but he DID sleep a lot more soundly in the crib so it likely bothered him more than I realized...
I feel awful all of a sudden. Like I'm going to puke. Ugh. I hope I'm not getting sick. I would wonder if it was something I ate, but we had a pretty bland lunch (waffles with peanut butter, strawberries, and milk). Maybe the milk? I don't usually have a whole glass of milk, so maybe?
Also, speaking of lunch, she was wearing just a onesie during lunch. After she finished I went to change her diaper and her belly button was full of waffle crumbs. Like, wtf? How does that even happen?!?
How does one get breast milk off a microfiber chair?
FFMC- I use nature's miracle on all the baby messes. I just never think to buy something and we have this stuff on hand already from my dog.
We do this too!
I had to use it this morning to scrub pee off the carpet in our older boys' room. FS2 has started taking off his pajama pants during the night sometimes, and today he took it a step further and took off his (poopy) diaper too. FS1 must have thought that all looked like fun when he woke up this morning, and at some point he took off his PJ pants and diaper too and then peed all over the floor. Zip up sleepers only from now on!
Oh, and one of our dogs peed on the floor this morning too.
Holy hell ceejay ! What a nightmare! Hopefully that doesn't happen again.
Yeah, let's just say I was not a very kind or happy person this morning. I was 30 min late to work and so angry and stressed that I barely said goodbye to anyone and just left.
I'm hoping it's just a phase (FS1 did something similar for a couple weeks last year...ewww...). But for now, zip up sleepers and onesies with snaps are the only things I'm putting FS2 to bed in.

Taking off diapers is what has me so nervous about R being so big. She's already outgrowing 18m onesies and I'm having a hell of a time finding 24m onesies!
